Song of the Dolphin

There was a time when I was young
when the Dolphin in me swam strong and free
The Dolphin is the secret person of my heart
My inner child a creature of light

The Dolphin has no fear of the dark
for he already knows what's in the dark
He has no fear of strangers
He openly smiles to all he sees

To all those who are near
he walks up to in friendly greeting
For with him there is no rich or poor
no black or white

Then new knowledge and learning
entered into the waters of his world
He was then seen less and less often
His voice was rarely heard
a faint and distant echo

I have not heard his voice
or his song now for so very long
When the pain of Loneliness
is so very strong
I wonder if he lives within me
at all anymore

But so long as there is
a glimer of hope
I know he is in there somewhere
his heart still beating
his lungs still breathing
his eyes still smiling

Not a poem

. . . . . . . . . Not a poem

- - -- - - - -- -Did you know that we are all connected?

I have just seen a very moving drama called "Reign Over Me"
with Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler. It is a story about
a man who lost his family in the 9-11 airplane crash. There
was a powerful moment in that movie when he told his
friend remembering feeling his family die in his heart at
the exact same moment that the plane hit the building.

There have been many life tragedies and stories where a
brother or a sister or a mother or father or a loved one
were in a ship that sank, an avelanch on a mountain, or a
war zone and there were no reported survivors or no
expected survivors.

And the mother, sister or other half of the significant
person in that tragedy didn't believe that they were
dead, and wouldn't listen to what other people were
saying. And in almost all of those cases they were right. Why?
I'm sure most of you also heard stories about twins. There was
this one story I remember about a pair of identical twin sisters.
They lived about a state in a half away from each other. One
twin was cooking diner one evening and burnt her hand. At that
same instant the other sister felt a burning sensation in her hand.
Some time later the twin who had burnt her hand was talking to
her sister and told her about it and her sister asked her when it
had occured.

- - - - Faster than light - - More than intuition

In these stories it would appear that the stronger the emotional
bond is between two people, that the stronger that this invisible,
instantanious, intuative connection is.

I would sappose that to the pragmatic mind an idea like this would
be a total flight of fancy. A purely Romantic notion dreamed up by
women. Wishful thinking in fact.

I don't know who thought of it first, but the first time
I came across the idea was when I was reading a science-fiction
novel by Orson Scott Card and put two and two together.

I think most of us understand by now that everything in the
universe has a unique vibration. Sunlight has a vibration,
radio waves have a vibration, even the things we eat have
a vibration. Also when we are angry, sad or happy; these to
are vibrations. This also can be learned by watching or reading
"The Secret".

Now back in this science-fiction story of Orson Scott Card's..
There was something I remember being described as being
smaller than a subatomic partical. And for every connection
we had with another person we held half of this particular
partical. The other half would be held by the other person we
had this connection with. And as the one half of the partical
would dance and vibrate so the other half would do the same
in perfect sincronization. And it wouldn't matter how many
light years the two halves were apart. They would always dance
the same tune as each other all the time.

Beautiful poems Kat!
-smile-

I don't know how to do a proper quote, especaily tapping
away as I am on the little screen of my new toy, this iPhone.
So I'll just try to do it some old fashioned way..

Kat
-------------------------------------
Incandescent votive memory light
created in a whisp
A brush held steady upon blank canvas
------------------------------------------

In this poem I invision a wizard painting a picture
of his young wife. Painting it as he invisions her
looking in his minds eye, last week in the sun room
under a nights sky, stars visible above the glass cieling,
flickering torches casting warm light, or what she looked
like dancing at their last aniversary after supper.

Kat
-----------------------------------
We are all but earthbound angels
In the form of butterflies
--------------------------------------

Ahhh! This one is eligant, short, sweet and simple.
This one is a song of seasons. Summer giving way
to autumn and beyond. Right Kat?

Earthbound angels. Is that angels bound to the earth,
or heading there? I invision winged bodies in space
like an air brush Wayland painting of liquid space.
Stars and planets in a vast ocean, with creatures
swimming among the stars.

"Lullabies and forgotten summer songs" This speaks
of winter, does it not Kat? When mother nature sings her lullabie
and the bear, trees, flowers and insects sleep? Why sing of autumn
when it is yet spring?

CAAAWWW!!! . . . CAAAWWW!!! . . . CAAAWWW!!! . . . . -flap!- . . . . -flap!- . . . . -flap!- . . . . -flap!-

Watering Loves Flower

In a spaceship of wing-swept lines
I soar and glide riding the air
above the tempest storm

I gaze down
at the brioling mass of the sea
and wonder..
Where is my new home
I found so recently?

I search the surface of the sea
with my penetrating site
and sing to the waves..
Where is she?

There she is they say
30 fathoms deep
and falling one fathom
for every hour

So back I sweep my wings
and dive into the seas depths
to reach Loves Flower
to give her a drop of liquid sunshine
and bring her to the surface once again
so as to keep her in the moment
never to be forgoten
or lost in father time

Finding poetry in art

Another entry in the...

NOT A POEM . . . . series

I don't know if this is against the rules here. I'm sure it probably is but I'm going to try it any ways. There is a web-link I'd like ya'll to look at. www.art.com/asp/sp-asp/_/pd--10032341/springtime.htm

This is a Norman Rockwell picture. Another way to get to the picture would be to google Norman Rockwell Springtime and it should be the second entry down.

This painting is of a boy and his dog. There is an invisible angel girl whispering sweet nothings in the boys ear.

The angel is whispering
promises into the boys ear..

promises of girls smiles
pointed his way
promises of girly crushes
promises of musical feminen giggles
of holding hands and laughter under the sun
These are the springtime years of a young boy

I wish my springtime was as gentle as a wind blown caress.
For me there seemed to be no Springtime at all
But an early summer storm, and away my mother flew
Then came the summer heat and I was stung by a venomous wasp
Its poison thined my blood and turned me into a creature of the night
Before Loves Flower had a chance to bloom and see the light

Sensual Dolphin

Tracing the smooth lines
of your skin with my fingertips
while you sleep
I wonder...

How does this feel to you?
How do you percieve this?
Am I doing this right?
Is there any way I can do this better?

When I caress your arms
your wrists
your hands
and your fingertips

An inexperienced ameture I may be
but nothing feels more right
the drinking of affections warmth and light
a form of love as old as time

WHEN GOD CREATED MOTHERS
Posted: 7/1/2008 2:00:18 PM
When god made mothers he made them so sacred
That he gifted them in many different forms
So that each child would know the meaning of love
When they are held in such precious arms

God bestowed in mothers the gift to heal
With just the simple brush of her finger tips
He thought her to turn teardrops into smiling faces
With just a hint of a kiss from her lips

Then he bestowed in her strength and wisdom
For when a child was lost and full of fear
He thought her how to make everything okay
Just by showing that she cared

Then to make her perfect God bestowed in her independence
So that she could stand on her own two feet
For when the world felt heavy upon her shoulders
She would never have to witness defeat

Then so she would not feel empty
God gave her the gift to fall in love
Then on the seventh day when he knew she was perfect
God released all these angels from above

Love is like a dark sadness when the heart is broken
All the happiness in the world seems to drift away
And a life you once knew seems forgotten
When there’s nothing left for us to say

When the heart is torn the body shatters
And life seems too much to bare
For your every fiber is overtaken by sadness
So it seems there is no one in your life that cares

You spend your nights feeling empty
Your only relief is to cry yourself to sleep
And pray that tomorrow will be better
That God will give you strength where you are weak

But memories start to haunt your dreams
And your faith it starts to turn dark
You fear to face the morning light
Knowing you’ll wake to a broken heart

You know the pain will someday ease
And you will fall in love all over again
But there’s a void where the love use to be
When the one you loved started out as your friend

Ladies stop falling for the lines.

Ladies stop putting up with guys who date several women.

Ladies stop having sex with several guys.

Ladies stop allowing your so called friends to have sex with you and other women.

Ladies the real truths are only told to us guys, but not to the ladies.

Ladies, all guys tell me-"Never tell the lady the truth".

Ladies -married men have other women.

Ladies put your foot down and don't accept a line that a guy is for real.

Ladies, if he was for real, he would really tell you the whole truth.

Ladies, you just got told the whole truth!

no rules in games we can't play without losing
the point of passing by
it isnt like you ever found yourself first,
then shared
it isn't until you felt and feel the lack
suddenly you understand just before you
drop the curtain and forget
til again you complete the cycle
and see til blindness
blesses your mind

just once could you start out with something
that doesnt scream of need
of fingernails full of a back i wear
to keep my front on straight
are we really different people or
fingers on the same hand
wrestling with forever opposing thumbs
haven't i loved you before or
was that before i realized the incest
time was, then is and it all tastes like something

never quite right

will i ever see more than a picture of you in my mind
plenty of those exist
a good memory is never a curse for those needing perspective
well ,almost never

i will give you time, but only some
time for changes outside of choices
besides im in no way ready
to kiss with full focus

I wonder how long momentum takes to slow
when you move at the speed of everything

something you did convinced me..I haven't wavered
months or years doesn't matter if truth reaches deep enough
comparing what might be to what you know is real
doesnt sell uncertainty

did you teach me to kiss or convince me
that no one else really knows how
that every cell of me reaches for you first
and will never know what comes second

she still sleeps with a nightlight, security blanket for her soul,a shepardess of the dreamscape, she gently guides them home.all the wishes upon stars, made slumbering awake.such brilliant stars alone, grouped together for a namesake.constellation miracles, lay in beds of dusky sky,she still sleeps with a nightlight, and a beacon of reasons why

saw the sun rise on phoenix moth wings
as dawn awakens the nightengail sings
songs of the moon for sleeping flowers
still awaiting gentle spring showers

when the wind brings butterflies
and hummingbirds streak the skies
to tickle her neck like nectar pollen petals
fiddle a tune that melts a knight's metals

If it is Forrest's treasure that you seek
Take a pleasant hike beside Clear creek
When the mists around the Massive mountains
Brings the rain into fast flowing fountains
Where dipper birds swim with swift rainbows
In dappled sunlight peeking through shadows

Filling our baskets with free gifts from utopia
Growing crops in circled rows of a cornicopia
Like Paint ponies herd their scampering colts
Running frightened in fields of lightning bolts
So does reason look for good excuses
For all these deeds to credit the muses
