Should I go out with a guy 16 years younger?Page 4 of 4    (1, 2, 3, 4)

I just saw another post about should I go out with a girl 16 years younger.

In fact, the description post is almost the exact same one as this.

Funnily enough, the consesus in that thread seems to be that the man should most certainly NOT date a girl 16 years his junior. This thread is the exact opposite, with approvals aplenty!

The guy who started the other thread did it to prove a point. It isn't a serious forum nor is it on the level. That kinda makes his point . . . pointless.

Should I go out with a guy 16 years younger?

He's just looking for a "cougar" or a replacement mom... what could you have in common besides a temporary sexual relationship? Think about it... hard. He is a man and will say... at that age... whatever it takes to get what he wants... don't let him have your heart... for he won't be giving you his. I assure you.

I often read and hear this argument as to why a woman or a man shouldn't date someone younger. Where is the rule written that old folks and young folks can't have common interests? There are many, many men my age with whom I have NOTHING in common.

You can assure her of nothing. I had a long-term relationship with a younger man and I assure you, I had his heart and he had mine. The relationship changed, but we are still friends.

There is NO guarantee that any relationship will last.

And as someone pointed out, maybe girls just want to have fun--and maybe women do, too.

Why not go for it? Just chat him for a bit and decide if you are comfortable with the age difference. You and he are the only 2 that matter in this question. :) Good luck!

Seems a bit odd that a male posted almost the same question ......................

Ahm I am not sure what kind of advice you want here?
This is the way I think I would rather be someones princess than their old lady .
Granted you are far from being an old lady but what you really have to ask yourself is what are you looking for.
Are you looking for an escort to go to events together? than I think it is perfectly fine as long as you have similar intelligence levels
If you are looking for a lover well it is my opinion that life just begins at thirty as far as romance so I might want a more aged wine.
If you are looking for a longterm partner well what happens when he is 46 and you are 62?
Everyone has different preferences so ultimately this is going to be your decision alone.
