Stubborn people usually ask fior stats because they know it would be difficult to find them. It's all about winning a debate/discussion as opposed to considering the possibilities.

Or, they play on words. Hence:

If the comment was some instead of many I would not have commented on it.

Yet, this same person has no problem stating:

I stongly believe that men take this drug to feed their egos, not the please a partner or possible partner.

Note this poster didn't use "many" or "some"... the poster clearly stated "men" which can be deemed as "all" users of the drug..... yet she does not provide stats. I'll not comment about her attitude on the topic, it's self explanatory.
Ironically, in lieu of "stats" this poster also commented:

Sorry, but whether it be Ed or any subject, I am not anti male. Issues are issues. Nothing personal to me. Blaming women for ED however is another story. ps You picked the women, yet it has to be the women who causes ED. Talk about a double standard.

I worried that I had a problem of ED but I later found out it was the lack of desire for the woman who was in my life. When I was with someone that I felt romantically drawn to there was no problem. I have not read all the post here but I am sure someone has said it is mostly in the head and for me that was very true.

Erm. . . . men with ED are, in my experience, perfectly capable of having orgasms. . . . Again: it's a *plumbing* problem, not a libido problem.

yeah, it is a little scary to hear. I know 1 friend uses viagra or cialis but beyong that I don't know(he's 65 I think). It isn't like guys ask one another, hey, does it still get hard? :)

I think it is a good incentive to exercise, keep your weight down, and eat healthy.

ED seems to have become way too common. Why, I have no idea. I do completely agree though that it's not something I would not want to deal with in a new relationship.

And can anyone tell me why SOME men feel the need to broadcast their ED on a first meet? It isn't like I was going to find out any time soon after all

At 46 never had a problem with ex w, but newness of first time and nervousness did it for me..when i feel really desired and wanted is when i had no trouble...then the old saying if you don't use it ,you'll loose it is true.
So i am not planning on being alone for long..even if she's not totally what i want in a woman, cause i'm afraid of that senario.

I was told ED may be a sign of not having a top notch cardio vascular system. After a long and challenging cardio workout it takes a good amount of food, fluid and rest to turn in a Chippendales like performance.

Coupled with synthetic estrogen-analog chemicals that offset testosterone and other pervasive chemical pollutants, it's almost impossible to be "pure" and healthy and functioning 100%, at any age.

Maybe it's because they 70+ guys have given up. Sort of like the unemployment figures -- the rate seems lower when people just give up looking for jobs.

Actually the issue is that ED is often associated with terminal disease--type 1 diabetes, heart failure, heart disease, etc. etc. Those who remain "capable" are outliving those who don't. If one has ED one should be seeing a doctor for a whole lot more than a prescription for ED.

My doctor's father in law lost the eyesight in one eye after taking Viagra, he is only 58, so is my doctor, Russian bride, that said, sometimes the side affects of drug use are worse than the disease.

Well this will come across (no pun intended) as insensitive, but stereotypes usually have a basis in fact. A guy that can't get it up isn't much of a man anymore no matter how old he is. If it is because of addictions causing poor health, the answer is the same.

Personally, I couldn't imagine having that problem, most of us guys have the opposite problem. And ladies, if I was a lady and if a guy had to take a pill to be attracted to me in that way, I would be offended.

And those ads warning to seek medical help if an erection lasts more than four hours? More like the guy would be calling his buddies and showing it off.

Any man who puts down another man because of erectile dysfunction should be VERY CAREFUL.....because one fall down the stairs, one trip off the curb, etc., could render a man a paraplegic or quadriplegic, and thus he would have a permanent case of ED....

So, I'm needing to understand this - are you saying a man's complete worth is found in his penis?

I do know a lot of men who clearly think with their penis but I would have thought intelligence, intellect, compassion, caring, steadfastness and many other admirable traits might also make up the man but you are clearly telling us that if a guy that can't get it up isn't much of a man anymore. Going to the doctor confirmed my suspicions I was diabetic...lowered blood sugar, lost weight, improved circulation now let's hope no problem!!!
