This is interesting because I have had women admit to me that they like to date younger guys because they have, ahem... more energy.

You should do a search of the women and look at what ages they put on their profile that they are looking for. Almost to a woman over about 38, the age group older is smaller than the age group younger. For instance you have a 40 year old woman looking for guys between 45 and 32. Or you have a 50 year old woman looking for between 52 and 40. You should really go look.

Women don't want to be judged? Is that because they don't like how it feels to be labeled or is it because they don't want to be compared to guys who are considered dirty old men because they are passing them by for twenty year olds? You know dirty old men have put up with that label for years.

Me personally, I am approached probably about nine to one by women who are older than me. Almost exclusively it seems. And I look young for my age so what does that tell you?

Unfortunately YCG~, you want to imply that this means more sexual energy. I've known several women who have been with younger guys who like the energy but aren't all that thrilled with (a) the staying power (two pump chumps), and (b) the inability of these cubs to pay attention to her and get her non-verbal feeback, not that they don't care, they just don't have the experience.

But yeah, they like to dancing and hiking and snorkling and etc., and younger guys are more into playing along. And they really don't know what to do with the cubs after playtime is over. LTRelationship building is atypical.

That's exactly what they tell me except for the (a) and the (b) (maybe there is some bragging, lol?). But I'm sure there's much truth to that. Always the danger of stereotyping, yet where there's smoke there's usually something burning, lol.

I notice CZ, you and I seem to have similar outlooks, we should compare notes sometime.

Well I don't think that I seek out younger men but they seem to seek me out! I have heard similar things about younger guys looking for older women. Most of them tell me it's because older women don't play games, know what they want and as usually established.

I find ... and no offense to anyone, that older guys usually seem to be less outgoing, less adventurous... and I know its not the rule.. but from what I've seen... that seems to be how it is. So maybe I do go for the younger ones... hmmmm... will have to look at that... lol

smthngmssng I have to agree w/u I have a 29yr old son and he says the same thing.
Not that all r the same, but from what I hear through the 20 somethings around my home there must be some truth in it.
Just my opinion, I have no age barrier be it a 60 something or a 40 something as long as they treat me w/respect n dignity.
I just fished out a 57 yr old that plays games as well as the 20 somethings, so it goes back to the caliber of the person.
Whelp off to fish, good luck to all in 2010 stay positive there are diamonds in the ruff

I don't think that there is anything wrong with a woman that is labeled as a cougar. I would love to get married to a woman that is over twenty years older than me. Look at Helen Mirren and all of her co-stars that starred in the movie "Calendar Girls". An older woman's life experience is sexy.

I was just looking at the sign ups for the posted parties and they seem to be lacking any of these "young studs" that are always claiming to be looking for Cougars. What happened to these guys?

In all fairness to these 'young studs', many women do encourage them by the way that their profiles are set up. One I came across recently was from a 59 year old woman that was advertising an age restriction of 40 to 60. She would take a guy up to 19 years younger than her but only one year older than her. To me, this is advertising that you are not looking for a serious relationship but want a 'boy toy' instead. She could have at least expressed it as over 40 thereby giving the young guy the green light but not showing favoritism over someone her own age.

I know that many of you women will come back with the thought that "Men have been doing the same thing for years.......looking for the younger woman." Again, I would say that this type of individual is not looking for a serious relationship. It isn't too often that a relationship has the 'forever after' lasting ability when one of the individuals is young enough to be the other's child........yes, it can happen and, true love and chemistry really has no bounds but at some point the physical effects of aging take their toll.

Today, more than any other time in history, women are maintaining their good looks well into their 60's. Many of them could pass for twenty years younger and the guys that are twenty to thirty years younger are interested.....and I don't blame them. My only question is: When the bloom has faded from the flower, how many of the young bees will still be there?

So is the "Grandpa look" a mismatch for a guy's personality and therefore could eliminate him from the competition with the youngsters?

Good point. So does this mean that younger men who clearly look younger than their Cougar counterpart are in the relationship just for the sex? If so how does this change the perspective of how we view men and their motives for dating? Is it merely a matter of feeling good that someone is still chasing after you? Please do tell!

Well I don't know about the Grandpa look, I don't think I will ever look Grandpa-ish. A couple years ago I took out a woman much younger than me, she didn't have a problem with it and when the night was over we both had smiles on our faces even her dog was smiling!!! Older guy's are out to please !!!! Maybe these woman are going out with the wrong one's, you lady's have to be a little selective and the same goes for us guy's . You don't have to be a COUGAR to get what you want.

Your young son's friends may be sniffing around the kitchen for different kinds of treats than you are offering! I can remember as a young man being very interested in some of my classmates mothers. There was one in particular that I used to hang around talking to for hours. I never made a move nor did she (I was probably about fourteen at the time) but we both liked each others company very much. Don't be surprised if some of your son's friends are attracted to you....after all, we males are always looking. .......and from your profile, it appears that you are a very attractive and young looking woman.

If that is your son in the picture on your profile......then I have misspoken. He appears too young to have that type of friends.......Sorry. I was thinking in terms of teenagers.

My friend just finish an ebook called The Cougar Manifesto, that breaks how to date, attract, and hook up with cougars CONSISTENTLY!

The guys name is Fred Moody, and we called him the Cougar Hunter, because when we go out to bars, 95% of the time, the first cougar he walks up to he ends up going home with.

True story - One time he was talking to this older woman with her husband. When her husband went to the bathroom, she grabs him and started making out with him hardcore.

He's great at explaining what it takes to date and hook up with cougars, and I've gotten success myself just from learning from him.

Do yourself a favor, and go to www.COUGARMANIFESTO.com and pick up a copy of his ebook. Even check out the video, he looks like an average dude..nothing special about him but hes getting more cougar tail than he knows what to do with.

Go to www.COUGARMANIFESTO.com right now. The book is only 12 dollars...mad cheap

Not at all, was in a R-Ship with one 11 years my senior, & she hunted me down.. possibly will be the best 3 years of my life!

Back in the 80's something really nasty about the attitudes of most women born in the mid/late 60's. something in the water?
