I don't get the fascination with Disneyland, it's kind of cheesy and always crowded. *shrugs*

I'd rather spend my money on anything else.

when I lived in Los Angeles, every shirt-tail relative I had wanted to come stay with us and have us drive them down to Disneyland for the day ... (this was WAY back when they had the A-E tickets! we worked for the U.S. Treasury Department and, as such, had unlimited tickets ... just present them for any ride!)

anyway, after one summer when we went to Disneyland 12 times with 12 different sets of relatives, we decided that, altho staying at our house was still a welcome option, the tour service was over!

I think I didn't go back to Disneyland for probably 5 years after that summer!

I always LOVED the Jungle Ride ... and, later, the Pirates of the Carribbean ride and the Haunted Mansion!

but ... way back when ... my favorite ride was the one where you'd get into the little boats and go into the whale's mouth ... we used to time it so that the fireworks would go off while we were out there on the water ... they'd stop the ride during the fireworks ... and the fireworks reflecting on the water was great!

That ride where you go on the boat and into the whale's mouth is the story book ride if i remember correctly, that was one of my favorites when I was a child. Nowadays my favorite is Indiana Jones due to my love for that movie when It first came out!!

Disneyland doesn't seem to be suffering from this economy "slow down." Tickets are about a hundred a head.

They're technically not supposed to, but the times I've gone on the Jungle Cruise they have.

Mmmm...does the California Resort qualify as part of Disneyland? California Screamin' is my favorite ride and my favorite rollercoaster, period. I love Pirates of the Caribbean, too.

My son and I are annual passholders, but since he's not quite 48" inches tall (he's only 4) we can't get on Indiana Jones or Screaming over California. We try to go twice a month to make it worth the almost $1000 a year the passes cost me.

Our favorite rides (including California Adventure):

1. Haunted Mansion
2. Buzz Lightyear
3. Jungle Cruise (how can you not love the deadpan monologues?)
4. Big Thunder
5. Pirates of the Carribean
6. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
7. Goofy's Sky School
8. Toy Story
9. Tower of Terror
10. Grizzly Rapids
11. Soaring over California

went to Disneyland the day they opened "It's a Small World!"

they had the music cranked up SO HIGH that it's a wonder our hearing survived ... AND ... the thing broke down for a while and we sat there on the ride for what seemed like HOURS ... but could have been 20 minutes ...

I still hear that song in my head sometimes ...

scream ...

when I was young, I liked "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!" that was so scary ...

hard to pick just one favorite.
I got it narrowed down to three
Pirates of the Caribbean
the old version and I like the new one too
Teacups
but they changed them, didn't they? so you can't spin so fast. that was one of the best parts!

Pirates of the Caribbean hands down is my favorite.
Then probably Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Indiana Jones
Peter Pan is kinda fun too.
I still get a kick out of the jungle cruise.

I think they should issue paintball guns to anyone riding its a small world....never liked that ride.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Only because I love the scent. Like reminiscent of a castle with cold stone walls, aquatic undertones, with a slight mechanical oily scent poking through.

It's fun to ride the Matterhorn and see all the different colored chewing gums hanging from the Abominable Snowman's fur.

haven't been there in decades. Magic Mtn had the more unique rides. But regarding amusement parks, I love the fun/crazy houses and the spinning barrel that you have to walk through.
