we are all
connected to answer
the call made
every day
to get up and stay
go with the flow
no despair
don't go there
we're all together
we're all the same
just trying to get through
another hard day

just trying to get through Another Hard Day
payin dues singing the blues along the way
basking in the dark Sunshine raining down
splashin melodic puddles the lonely sound

connection a blank void to the other side
running faster and faster Circling around
this morning sickness is too hard to hide
shape shifting darkness is smiling down

the puppet stings all orchestrated fun
such a Beautiful Lie to come undone
nowhere left to run we’re all insane
feeling again addicted to the pain

Feeling again addicted to the pain
A very hard habit to break or refrain
Something we know from so long ago
Always returns with hearts suffering so

Seeing the pain of the horrors of late
Wanting compassion to open its gate
To reach in the minds of those who can't feel
To help mend this pain that is all too real

Wishing for a miracle it seems these days
To awaken from this assault rifle craze
Can't understand the rules of this game
If we don't stop it now we'll all go insane

If we don't stop it now we'll all go insane
How wood it have gone if Able slew Caine
Took orders in advance for the best deals
Turning the tables on the roulette wheels

Gimbeled playing fields supported by pivots
When so many won't even replace golf divots
Admitting wrong doing goes against the grain
Optimal solutions for those with most to gain

Were'nt one per centers once a motorcycle gang
Forgot the big league word for the origins of slang

Forgot the big league word for the origins of slang
Forgot that ar15's have a really big bang
Over 2000 miiles per hour do those bullets fly
Can't outrun them or anything but take it and die

So why of why do the great powers that be
Keep selling us their really stupid fantasy
Seems they want us all to have an ar15
So we can all shoot each other in a constant war scene

But then who would be left to re-elect them?

Who would be left to re-elect them?
Who would there be to re-elect them
Not I
For I would disappear into the sky
government has never done a thing for me
but bring me down begging for mercy
so Im not playing no more
I found my way out I found the door
Living the Kuna ma tada way
no worries no bad words to say

no worries no bad words to say
only need a lantern to light the way
when the moon rises late in the sky
jest because if one asks because why

wear Bermuda shorts about to freeze
to watch a bevy of swans form a wedge
like sea gulls and pelicans on the edge
soaring over cliffs in an onshore breeze

Soaring over cliffs in an onshore breeze
That is what I think sailing would be like
If your living in Belize
that would bring on some good psyche
a change of scenery
some warm weather too
where there is lots of greenery
and Ill take the sky's of blue
a place where there is no snow
some place like that
where the snow got to go
Just want to sit on a beach with a straw hat

That has wifi connection to watch DogCat
Recording the colorful closing ceremony
To view commercial free making baloney

Baking moon cakes to welcome in the new year
As it's February, must be the chinese frontier
Don't even know which animal it is this time
Too wrapped up in the casualties and the crime
And helping my dear friend run for election
In her town next to mine so not a big one
Takes a great deal of dedication in one so fine
Been her dream since she was nine

Been her dream since she was nine
Hope they weren't anything like mine
Started a pillow fight all by my self
Kept Viking ships on the bookshelf

Had a Roy Rogers holster with a toy gun
Playing cowboys and indians was our fun
TV today ran zombie movies all day long
some might say a sign something's wrong

swimmin in a Whirlpool she'd throw me a rope
women and children are mankind's best hope

Women and children are mankind's best hope
Especially with so much of the country addicted to dope
So many kinds now that keep you numb and enslaved
Almost impossible to stop and start a new page

But these young shot by guns are definitely the sage
Can't help but support them for we share their rage
Bringing hope to us all as we enter this stage
Trying to right the wrongs so present today

Trying to right the wrongs so present today
Asked Atlas how much does the world weigh
Balanced there on a celestial merry go round
Riding carousel horses who never touch ground

Funambulancing over the high tension wires
Magic carpets on air shocks and run flat tires
kirigami Kevlar snake skin's a good garden glove

the best long term cure for trouble is love
soul searching answers come from above
rides the proud marry down the miss sipp
old fashioned Top Shelf Bourbon to grip

reading rainbows between the lines
why the better life is so hard to find
looking and searching to find a way

overflowin cup runneth over today
w/ free refills buy the small size I'd say
more trips to the soda fountain you know
another thing to consider is if it's to go

try a sippy cup lid when skiing half pipes
pulling 1080 double corks on blue stripes
back side landing while grabbing both rails
for added aerodynamics braided pony tails

every year the Z boys try to add something weird
like a windbreaker zipper caught in your beard

Like a windbreaker zipper caught in your beard
The pain's sharp and deep but the wind's what you fear
Hopefully not rising again like this past weekend
Had to be careful driving between many trees fallen

'Twas a small hurricane took us all by surprise
Then everywhere the power kept dropping like flies
Took several days to get it back up and running again
Was it the wrath of mother nature playing with heaven?

was it the wrath of mother nature playing with heaven?
hard to tell rolling the dice wishing for seven or eleven
down on hard luck cashing reality checks going down
sweating bullets losing it all gnashing teeth all frown

when out of the blue lady luck showed up
offering free refills for a lonely empty cup
stackin chocolate chips now its all funny

bee keepers recommend local raw honey
slow as mollasses as an example of viscosity
even if gophers took a plea deal were guilty

taking the fifth before spilling baked beans
broke the coyboy code by washing blue jeans

The oriental symbol for crisis is opportunity
Flipping separation around to potential unity
When the world is turning completely topsy turvy
At least there's company when everyone's crazy

Better to try being sane than staying lazy
But they all complain when you wear paisley
Trying to find some friends of like mind
Or at least one or two who can still be kind

Or at least one or two who can still be kind
In these days that can be hard to find
Everyone is stuck in their devises
trying to advert another crisis
whats being fed to you is not even real
all of your info ready to steal
Thought changing lies
brought to you by spies
Its the new way to change your mind
In all this madness nobody's kind

In all this madness nobody's kind
unempowered to reset or rewind
look away from those kryptonite eyes
metro gnome watches that hyptontize

leaving trails of ginger bread crumbs
along magic hedge rows of purple plums
from a time before time when pitted apricots

connecting frequency in a dream field of crops
heard an ear of corn equals more than Sound
weighing time and space with no one around

empowering richness to grow a tall seed

Transcending wave lengths growing old
Silver grey hair now taking hold
Never imagined this age would I be
Just this past Monday I turned sixty!

Still feeling a bit like I did at twenty-three
When I moved far away from this country
Knew one day I'd return when I'd learned
Ready to fly again, not from being burned

Raised a whole brew of children you see
Well, to me it's a brew, but was only three
Then two out of three stayed there to live
Married their best friends and one had two kids

Now we're divided as another generation grows
Watching time fly through warm days and cold
Still a glint in my eye knowing life is a gift
No fear of the day I'll die and my soul will lift

Been quite a long journey this time around
Don't care what they do when my body is found
Don't mean to sound morbid, just the opposite really
Will celebrate the day when my soul leaves my body

Meanwhile I live from one day to the next
Trying to make sense of this world's crazy mess
Can't quite explain how we came now to be
An isolated world in an isolated country

Still trusting the day will come when we awaken
When hearts will open and dreams not foresaken
Until then I try and live each day with a love
That flows through my veins and warms my blood

flows through my veins and warms my blood
watching tractor pulls on race tracks of mud
best seats in the house where it hits the fans
began to draw blueprints for future game plans

not everyone could agree to the compromises
when masquerade balls mandated disguises
the concensus then accepted we need an alibi

Tally the votes on sand abacuses or abaci
Its all you can do, if you try
counting in sand makes me sigh
Its not really a good way to count votes
Id much rather be out sowing my oats
time to leave this beach and grab our coats
