with a picked white fence home nor a house
food in the fridge but no power to cook
cant judge a movie by the cover of the book
these are the ones who need us the most
despite self inflicted, pain, drugs, or both

respectful of others in unison

the local Ft. Bragg Police blow boo ta ta
and screw with innocent people I say,

trying to stay away from the mosh pit
and asking for help from that cop he SUKCS,
he blasted me with the crap instead
gave my daughter a fat lip pushing her,
your darn right we filed a police report
I ended up in the medic tent all night yes sir,
I have epilepsy and was so dizzy I couldnt stand
all cause I wanted to hear Chevelle play,
I did have a blast at first with everyone
till a soilder (my son in law) had to carry me away,
what a bunch of garbage on the fourth
they should be ashamed to be Americans,
making me so ill like that on base no less

the air is palpably thick and heavy
expecting relief, the heat remains
relief comes in the form of a swim in the levee

in SoCAL June gloom lingers
a blessing for sure
no burning sun rays fingers
a mild summer so pure

being early mid-July there's still the chance
for sweltering humidity
powerful enough to induce a trance
which can easily affect our humanity

I will count my lucky stars
and not question why
