we'll tumble through all we can take
until the waters merge cold and hot,
and the rains come falling upon shore
and the massive thirty foot wall, drops
right where you lived, and more
until there nothing left in sight,
kinda like Katrina did that night,
when I awoke up with nothing left,
was no need to even fight
when God is in control,
but he left me with cloths on my back,
and my health to further withstand,
not knowing if my parents were dead
running through that maze blindly,
striving to figure out what was left.
but it was no luck, fate, or happenstance
and no' skeptical optimist' junk,
God protected me all the way,
despite what some would call foolish play,
refusing to heed to a greater power
than themselves,
with all their anarchy talk,
why do some people shun the importance of God,
while giving so much more to man,
I guess your measured by where you lay your head,
as if I have never slept under a bridge,
when its all that you got, home is home
even sleep in a library once before a test,
but when the test was done, I went back to sleep,
right where I left off, cause sometimes, home is home
so, if hope you strive, if hope you choose to spreed,
be it now or through the parcels of time,
never forget where you've been,

I sit with my pen
and start over again
washed away sins
that is how it begins
then fill up with zen
to the brim, I'll say when
rewriting myself as a cute little elf
all chapters removed from the books on the shelf
free from all fear this peerless sprite
I drop all my baggage then I write
ink my being to the top of love's spire
reeling from the feeling how myself I inspire
on wings of papyrus with a quill for a rudder
softly aloft above clamor and clutter
what is real, please, pray tell what is pretend
do all lofty sensations decline and descend
a leaf on still water will eventually sink
