you can't really remember the pain
and if you learn nothing there
and bring nothing back
then how can we say
we are worthy of our suffering

we are worth of our suffering
right now my back hurts
come over later and rub it for me

my darling dewdrop dumpling
might not be the best line
to leave with you all:
so how's this one?
Develop the part of your heart
that is most afraid to see...

that is most afraid to see...
how vulnerable and weak
it can sometimes be
Love can surely bring
you too your knees
Maybe I just need to *sneeze*
lol

Maybe I just need to *sneeze*
out a portion of my brain
not affected by the reign
of terror you've imposed on my heart
tell me why we must always stay apart
when one night sure as hell wouldn't hurt...

when one night sure as hell wouldn't hurt
the quality of love in unspoken thought
uttered live, happening immediately
not held inside for some properly schemed moment
as spread in the fields by some runner
lying in the desert outside Mecca
speaking history as it happens
the art of hellos
in mountain camps
cumming in the plaza
grasping at hands and straws
encountering departure
gesturing toward home
without hesitation
expressed in tounges
carrying itself
through mind and soul
beckoning the appearance
of utopic mountains
staring down upon us
staring down upon the world

maybe i just need to *sneeze*
and feel the breeze upon my cheek
and peek at the beauty all around me
every waking moment

every waking moment
who can live like that
I try but my attenton wanders around it like a sine wave
I have a couple of lucid moments in a day, about
as often as a dead watch tells correct time

as often as a dead watch tells correct times
Twice a day wouldn't be so bad
indeed, my hours are always spent
learning something new
in between thoughts of you

I wonder what he looks like
this dream that haunts my night
I can see our home
simple but true
I can see the garden down the lane
Bountiful shrubs enticing butterflies to drink
Amber sunsets while rocking on the porch
watching my son graduate
taking trips far away
Blue oceans, arid deserts, crisp snow crystals bouncing off the window pane
jolted adventures upon a train
but I cannot see his face

I can feel the calm and love
the excitement of going through life
the fights
My kitchen table
and the tile on the floor
but I cannot imagine the face I'll see
coming through the door
to say hello honey
don't see much money
in the bank account...
my account
his has plenty ;)

I can see my son getting a dog
wrapped in a thick, silk ribbon
like the pup on Lady and the Tramp
but I would buy tramp
for purebred dogs... well

Anyways, so I can see this
me doing what I believe in
loving this special man
that finally came around
but I know not the sound
of his voice
by my own choice
I have muted the calls of destiny... (whatever will be will be)

I have muted the calls of destiny...(what will be will be)
two unarmed birds in flight
parapets of insulated right
minded people who are just enjoying one another

can someone please tell me the posting rules- can't find any- thanks!

http://forums.plentyoffish.com/datingPosts1345738.aspx#11285985

are the general posting guidelines.

for this thread .... the idea was to make a continuous poem.
the idea has been undermined by people often not checking after they post to see if someone else posted first .... or they haven't bothered to check to see if the last posting didn't bother to check if their posting was beaten to the punch.

hence ... last lines that should be used .... get skipped....
it happened on the las page .... and on this page ... and on many other pages .
sometime its fixed sometimes it isn't.

I'm going to fix this one. [where Rasko's line was skipped]
=================================================

staring down at the world
mixed feeling engulfed my being
light and dark with moving greys
cascading over silent screams

how did I rise to be in this place
where will I go when I leave
which is the key to unlock that door
will my passing cause some to grieve

an awe inspiring fulfilling thing
this epiphany from beyond the sky
looking down upon the world
I can only say ... Oh my.

Naked Lunch- thank you for sharing that info. I will give it a whirl and anyone is free to correct me ---

I can only say...Oh my
for cries are left unheard
or unresponded to
in dread

Fulfilling anxious quotes of past
and moving on door to door,
of unrest-
my reticence grows from
being weary of no change

being weary of no change
I grab the urge to rearrange
I take my life in my two hands
tossed it up to see how it lands
the time to sit and wait is done
in the mirror there's just one
but now again I seem a gleam
life in eyes now free to dream

life in eyes now free to dream
a little wider
a little brighter
dream a little freer

free to dream
I dreamed I found a switch
at the bottom of my belly and
I turned it to yes

And they shouted "Got you!" with a smile
As they plucked me from my fall
It seems I'd turned the switch to Yes
And took off after all
The No had tied me in my place
And left me there to rot
Just in time I changed my mind
Now look at all I've got

Now look at all I've got
some might say what
that's not a lot

enough for me to pay the rent
and move out
of this ragged tent

its a step in the right direction
as I schlep and fight
with little discretion

the rich man's life is not for me
it's full of holes
through which I see

discord and want and misplaced goals
covered up by
posh mink stoles

gosh what more now could I need
maybe you
to feel less greed

once was enough to go around
no one had to
sleep on the ground

but that was then and now is here
I'll do my part
and be austere

and be austere
that may work for some
but not for me
I like to spread joy and
have others warm their hearts
not just their hands-
and to fill their hands
with mine

and to fill their hands with mine
or something else I thought devine
like a rock it hard and sweet as candy
taste was like bitter sweet brandy

licked and sucked that poor sucker up
bit hard and found it had no inner stuff
thought i had a tootsie roll pop or at least a sugar daddy
come on you'all you know I'm talking bout candy

guess i better rally to restore sanity
and clear my head
a deeper breath, a lighter grip
on all that’s arbitrary

he was the world’s real-est man
and its sane-est
he warned me not to escape
or step on his cape
he was the leading master

(gurus-they're like potato chips)
until somebody meaningful dies.
words are empty.
time stands still.
then...something greater happens
My little sweet sister in the bygone
I had to pass you away. Gone
Each exact sunset, each dawn.
Gone. Until your gone muted
Now...I wait...if I meet you?
Are we anywhere the same.
You are my lantern . You must lead away.

You are my latern. You must lead away
I know we'll meet again in heaven someday
we will walk the streets of gold
cause in my heart, I 'll forever hold

the love, kindness and even that stupid fight
you sold my property what gave you the right
I was mad, I wanted to get even
I didn't know within a year you were leaven

You died and left me to think at what price
talking to you again would surely be nice
you wrote your own script
talked trash and gave everyone lip

Who would have known I miss you one day
so much more that words can ever say
I miss you dear brother, I hope your home
Hope God forgave you for what you did wrong

To my Brother with Love

Hope God forgave you for what you did wrong,
such is the cry of every hymn and song.
Make us more worthy each day we do pray,
teach us to love, don’t let feelings decay.

A love that’s unselfish until the end,
when I die, notify my only friend.
A friend who will mourn my loss forever,
made stronger by our time spent together.
