Lovely funny poem axe... made two or three funnies after weekend but couldn't post?
Now there lost in space

we knew what was right from the very start
but still did not have it in our hearts
the lust and temptation gave us no sanction
and into trouble we ran, over before it began
it seemed good at the time, everything was fine
until the statements came out, the panic began
lost all the friends, family shamed inside
daddy's little lamb, no where to run and hide
the only one who stuck by, thank god, a trait so rare
no reconciliation for the frustration caused by carelessness
now we think again if my "friends" ask do u want to run about
this time i think i 'll be the boss of my own slaughtered house

the assumption is consumption will bring a smile

knowing the things that I bring to the table
I stand clear and firm on my foundations,
feeling I am the best me I can be at the moment
due to the journeys I have traveled from afar,
listen to me heart beating in the stillness of me
and you too can hear the stories my soul tells,
in the light of day open to all who will see me shine
flying freely as though i am the all elusive butterfly,
pretty to look at and never quite the perfect catch
for I cant stand still long enough just to smell,
the beautiful roses that surround me in the gardens
wanting to flutter around drinking nectar from many,
enjoying their beauty too as other flowers are fragrant
right here in my own back yard cultivated just for me,
singing my own special tunes making music with nature

In blossoming in beauty
I must say,
it was fun when the money lasted
it was just enough to buy the casket
but i didn't opt for that so I'm in a box
will deal with the wood that rots
hopefully there be no more digging for gold
someone has saved my immortal soul
buying flowers now, for that day that cometh
hoping to be at a peak or some summit
stead at hells door my soul did plummit
I was kicked out and another let in
that day I made friends with the demon within
the keys were lost, pockets were emptied
had evil in mind and all was tempting
i locked myself in the closet and prayed

of looking within and finding what's real
