Wheres my hat
no no not that
hat
the other one
the one with the sun
on its brow
and the word wow
The one that you like
when we take a good hike
the one that reminds you of fun
yes that is the one

in a world where such integrity has mainly been left behind
so many would rather be blind
and so many will not hear
or lend an ear
or refuse to acknowledge
any kind of knowledge
that will let you take part
in things good for the heart
and good for your life
it won't bring you strife
it just might get you a wife

In a world where such integrity has mainly been left behind
I seek a small corner to escape the daily grind
I wander off main street, down alleys to parts unknown
(Last year I'd have stayed anchored so surely I have grown.)
I feel the calm swish over me like an easy mid-Spring shower
And smile at the oddity of this quiet rush hour
I used to crave noise to make me feel part of the plan
And listen to the garbled sounds of angry, accusing man
But today I can return to main street and continue on my way
Secure in the knowledge that I survived them another day.

it might just get you a wife
or at the very least a new friend
So finish your letter
and then click on SEND
I'm sure she will answer
You're too cute to pass by
just keep your posts honest
We hate it when you lie!
Meet in the park and go walking
When your smiles connect you will see
That it was worth the time that it took
to check out "who's viewing me"

( oh well it happens) nice will fix it

to check out who is viewing me
Ill just have to see
secure in the knowledge that I survived another day
another day to dream and play
and to await the month of may
but in reality i have to say
its another cold winter day
more snow they say
on its way
so here ill stay
awaiting a the spring day

finally came to its becoming
all i could here was a lot of humming
at first there was no sound
but then the birds came around
and flew all about
I had to get out
the noise kept getting louder and louder
perhaps it was caused by that line of white powder
what is this stuff I took
that was hidden in the little book
I do not know
they only called it blow
Ill ride this one out
and Ill try not to pout
and stay
away
from those little white lines
that bring such large fines

that bring such large fines
ah, but it is a rich man's drug
and everyone knows
rich men don't get in trouble...
so snort away
just be prepared to pay
me, myself... am indifferent to the situation.

Me, myself... am indifferent to the situation
but at least there is no condemnation
richmen do get in trouble and have to pay
just ask O J
He finally paid
for getting laid
He now has been Jailed
He finally failed
and as far as for me
I'm finally free
I need no drug
except for the coffee in my mug.

except for the coffee in my mug
swirled thick with tainted corn
Indian corn
they call it
officially
some people would shudder as such a word
but it makes no difference to me

it makes no difference to me
my eyes are open a can finally see
what I have missed all these years
all these fears
now gone all in a song
before it was all so wrong
it is all in a verse
some bad some good some worse.
so it makes no difference to me
its only poetry

it's only poetry
words tossed up
landing in some order
this time
shuffle or not
edit on a reread
or keep an unbroken line
mind, fingertips, send
not science or death
it's only poetry

Its only poetry
all the things you do for me
the smile
that made me walk a mile
just to see it for while
just to make me smile
its only poetry
that fills me
when you do those little things
that make me sing
its pure poetry

its pure poetry
when you died
all else settled into normal
except, this moment
when the sky opened
sent a mist ...
I do not understand
why there ever was joy
at a moment the sky closed.
God we walk into pain
God we continue. Always.

God we continue , always
it is our way
the way , we take on the day
the way we pray
the way we say
I love you
with are heart
Yes God we continue always
because there is no other way
but to die
then our whole life would be a lie
it would make us all want to cry
so we continue
it is what we do
like we have always done
we never run
away from God or do we

away
from God
or
do we
nod
yawn
burp
how can you get away from mind
that thing
you find
its doing all the decission making
all the investigation
all the speculation
with some indignation
a scream of :WTF:
its all in my head
until I am dead
then whatever said
means nothing

means nothing? means something
except there is no nothing
there is no such thing
how can something
be nothing
It makes no sense
it makes one whence
lets really have some common scene
I here it all the time
especially when one whines
what did you say
and all you say is nothing
really you said something
I herd it so admit it

so admit it
you heard but didn't understand
all you say is
what
that is a very poor stand
maybe its the background noise
the twisted thoughts in your head
maybe its just lack of interest
might be time for bed

I heard it so admit
that your the one who did it
that's not an odor that I produce
so it must be from you or from some dead goose

what in hell did you eat at your last meal
I mean look at the paint beginning to peel
Your emanations of the intestinal kind
are seriously making me go blind

might be time for bed cause you
are seriously making me go blind,
I have unspoken thoughts to voice
but I'll bite my tongue and be kind

great men seem to think alike
during moments of self expression,
they dont swallow their words of truth
and state them well without hesitation

and state them well without hesitation
those words of wisdom and truth
make a reservation
for your troubled youth
so they can learn
what is right and wrong
stand up and take your turn
so they will be strong
love them like love should be
hold them tight
set them free
let them feel the light
They need to learn
so they don't burn
its your turn.

its your turn
don't be nervous
take a deep breath
think a peaceful thought
calm expectations
chill versus hot
this is not a test
time to step up
the plate has been swept
put one out of the park

put one out of the park
don't let us wait to dark
it was a mistake to come here
our team never got near
to winning a game
still the same
every one cheers
because they drank to many beers

they drank too many beer
then ran into a deer
nothing was very clear
not even the year

the car was totally trashed
a couple of heads were mashed
they lost all they had stashed
from the clutch peddle he was gashed

they now hear the sirens coming
its futile to now be thumbing
with that leg there'll be no running
should'a stayed with the girls who were sunning

Should' a stayed with the girls who were sunning
That would of kept me from running
I really didn't know
where to go
but I should' a stayed
with the girls and played
Should' a would' a
I didn't know what I had
When I left I was sad
no one would know
but I had to go
and get in a wreck
