I'm fond of Greek Gods names.....
they have that serious "tone" yet are fun because of the mythological fantasy....
with a "story" for each name.

Zeus, Appolo, Eros, Hades & Cronos to name a few.

I wish you great luck with your dogs but want to remind everyone that like us dogs are far more a product of their environment than their breeding. The state of dog breeding in the modern world is abysmal to put it incredibly kindly. Purchasing from a reputable breeder still perpetuates a market overflowing with an incredible amount of cruelty.

Be a hero, adopt, don't "purchase.'

If you are a Magnum P.I. fan; you could use Zeus and Apollo a.k.a. "the lads."

I know someone that has a larger dog, whose name changes when I visit. She goes from being Sheba to Sheba Down.

Hmmmmm.

My son paid an absolute fortune for a pedigree black lab some time ago. He named her: Cash

I had cats that were identical but SO different. One smart, one contortionist-ic they were: Einstein and Houdini.

My ex and I got a rescue dog and as soon as he acclimated to "home" he began talking (I guess that's what he was doing..LOL) He sounded just like Chewbacca so he was named Chewey.

I prefer names that go with the pet, not a pet that goes with the name.

(Congrats on the new additions OP!!)

One of them (maybe both), may be used as a therapy dog with kids.

If they are going to be for kids they should have easy names. I hope you come back and let us know what you named them.

I agree on the show names, I just had an addition to my family a female but her mother's name is Ms. Cinnomin's Ginger and I named her pup Ms. Ginger's Cocca Bella she goes by CaBella for short.
For a male I like Gent , Smertz, Omar also use a Latin name book there is some awsome names there.
Hope I helped

I remember an old kindergarten flyer with Zip and Nip. They were a cat and dog but the names are short and sweet. A friend with a small dairy farm would raise a couple of pigs every year named Floyd and Wilbur, until his kids wouldn't let him butcher the family pets.

probably too late to help I have an Irish setter often mistaken for a red golden his name is Finnegan. Soooooooo if you are irish maybe something in gaelic or if you are another nationality an ethic last name might work.

Adaboy if it is a male, Adagirl if it is a female. Poochee, Tyson, Snots, Sargent, Apollo, Zeaus, Whatwhat, Sparky, Thor, Thorn, Boss, Fatso, Tiny, Dammit, Notagain, Thatyardgo, Shoesplat, and the all time best of all, Sh*thead. These are just a few good names. Or you could always give your new dog a sweet name, like Sandi, or Mandi, or Sweettater. Cheers You could always just name it Dog. Because after all it is a dog. However I named my 11 year old boxer/chow mix Kayla.

I've always been partial to the names "Mishka" and "Tundra" for dog names but since I have 6 cats I've never had the chance to name a dog. :(
