When I was in high school (we won't talk about how long ago THAT was :D). There was this male teacher that had a toupee that was legendary. I kid you not, We would NOT have been shocked had the thing stood up and crawled off on it''s own. :D I swear, I'm not making fun, I've always been curious....... What do you do when you get a tan and the top of your head doesn't match your face? Spray tan? Self tanner? Wait until the top matches your face? No matter what, I am SO glad MOST men finally figured out bald is better AND sexy! ;)

| Bald guys Posted: 3/12/2017 7:59:43 AM | Forumslady, when I first shaved my head, it only took a few days for my head to catch up with my face. And I get really tan. I'll change my photo so you can see me bald. I'm just trying to decide when to shave it all off again, takes off 10 years without the white hair! | |

| Bald guys Posted: 3/14/2017 9:04:01 AM | Good for Grover he's able to tan the top of his head.
I can't put sunscreen on top of my head because it would drip into my eyes. A hat is typical protection from the sun (some people wrongly claim bald men wear hats because they are hiding the baldness as if it's bad. Wrong! I wear a cap outside to shield my eyelids from the sun and to protect skin from the sun).
Without a hat, the top of my head burns quickly. Once my head turned lobster red after being in an outside swimming pool. Once a work company picnic didn't reserve the shelter, so we were at picnic tables unprotected from the sun, and I didn't bring a hat to work. Ouch!
Some people consider tan lines sexy. Girls remarked about the top of my head being red. Normally the top of my head is ultra pale. Seeing a lighter portion of the body that's been sheltered from the sun can be special.
Some of my caps are mesh, so there might be a subtle pattern.

| Bald guys Posted: 3/14/2017 9:10:48 AM | I seldom wear a hat. I tan pretty easy, so I hardly ever wore sunscreen, but I do use it on my head if I'm going to be in the sun alot. Nothing worse than a sunburned bald head!
I think a tanned head looks awesome. I also make my own lotion that puts a great shine on it. A very healthy look.

| Bald guys Posted: 3/14/2017 12:24:20 PM | That guy who plays Sherlock Holmes on TV.
It is hard to believe that there is prejudice against a guy JUST because he is bald. It must have something to do with the package, not the baldness.
|
| Bald guys Posted: 3/15/2017 11:03:22 AM | Not sure who that guy is, Dee, but on this site, I bet 50 to 75 percent of women see my photo, and pass it up. It's not prejudice, just preference. And that's ok, these singles sites are visual first. We all scan through photos, then read if any attraction is there. Personally, I don't want a gal to read my profile and think, sounds like a great guy, but I don't like bald heads, then contact me. I'll wait for the 1 in 4 that know it's what's in the head, not what's on it. Extra points if she thinks shaved heads are sexy! | |

| bald guys Posted: 2/2/2019 6:08:56 AM | Good news:
https://www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/a26065466/bald-men-study
The study, which compiled information from 59 subjects, showed the participants multiple photos of men. The first photo featured a man with a full head of hair and the second one showed that same man with no hair. Most participants reported that they found the bald men to be more attractive overall.

Hmm, a plaid head. (My morning laugh)

| Bald guys Posted: 2/2/2019 9:06:40 AM | Riverrat, I think the author got it wrong. I believe Mannes study determined bald guys were more attractive than BALDING guys, but less attractive than guys with a full head of hair.
Aw, well, it's just a matter of preference. Personally, I prefer the look and convenience of sporting a shaved head. 10/80/10 meaning 10% of women hate it, 80% don't care, and 10% love us baldies.
|
| Bald guys Posted: 2/2/2019 9:35:49 AM | Tons of women like Vin Diesel.
I get as many dates with my head shaved as I do sporting hair. Another myth busted.
|
| Bald guys Posted: 2/2/2019 11:05:28 AM | ^It's not a myth. I am not attracted to bald men. Hair is my favorite feature. My sister and a few friends don't go for them either. Just like you reject women with accents. We all have our likes and dislikes. | |

It's not a myth. I am not attracted to bald men. Hair is my favorite feature. My sister and a few friends don't go for them either. Just like you reject women with accents. We all have our likes and dislikes. Of course there are some women that aren't attracted to bald men. But I have had both a full set of hair and a shaved/trim haircut. Some women thought I looked better with a shaved/trim haircut. For other women, hair may not matter that much or they may have a mild preference for a man with a full set of hair. But that's not a requirement.

| Bald guys Posted: 2/3/2019 9:58:54 AM | ^Hemingway has stated twice that women don't care if a man is bald. *Some* women, such as myself, do care. It is a requirement for *me* and *some* women. So women have liked your hair better when you cut it a certain way. What does that have to do with me telling Hemingway that *some* women reject men who are bald? | |
|
| Bald guys Posted: 2/3/2019 11:04:01 AM | Some women like men with hair, some like bald men, and some like both. Does this clear it up?!
The only point I'm trying to make is that some bald guys think they are not attractive, which is nonsense. Plenty of women like that look.
|
| Bald guys Posted: 2/3/2019 12:11:06 PM | Nobody knows more than us baldies that many women don't care for bald guys. That's ok. Fact is, when it comes to guys with shaved heads, the reason we sport that look is because we like it. It's a choice, some don't like it, some do. Just have to do what you like and live with it. Haters gonna hate. | |

The general point is being bald or having shaved / trimmed hair doesn't necessarily mean fewer women will be interested or attracted to a man. I just added a personal example. Stating "no one cares" about something can be used as a figure of speech. The expression can simply describe something that is relatively not as important among the general population as one might think it is.
