Yikes, this is the one thing I don't like, losing it on top. If I let my hair grow a little I start looking like Larry Fine. Thing is I'm just as much of a dope as he is.

"Bald men are genetically inferior. Women know this because they are simple creatures whose only real desire in life is to breed children. They don't want their boy-children to get male pattern baldness at the age of 30.
The Alpha Male has a full head of hair (like me) and grows it to show superiority over the beta baldie males who are less genetically perfect breeding stock. It won't help to shave your head: everyone can see where your few remaining follicles are and everyone will suspect you're some EDL hooligan. Best bet is to cut your head off."
I have read your profile as well ..... Caution .... this opinion comes from a fetid cesspool of self absorption ..... GOOD LUCK WITH THAT !!!!

I find it hard to believe that there are many guys out there who prefer being bald to having a full head of hair, and I believe that the great number of women would prefer a full head of hair to bald, Yul Brenner notwithstanding, and despite their protestations to the contrary. And I find it even harder to believe that the younger a guy when he balds, the more it upsets him. A full head of hair bespeaks of health, vitality and especially youth.
BUT, for all of you guys, and some gals who find themselves going bald, and who were not aware, anybody who has a decent amount of hair on the back of their heads and on the side can get a hair transplant and the results will be totally and completely natural looking. Hair plugs are a thing of the past. The best doctors transplant individual hairs, thousands at a time, and you can have a fall head of hair immediately after the healing. Just letting you know its out there. Its expensive, say $10,000 per treatment. But is that really a lot to feel that much better about yourself? The return on your investment far exceeds that of buying a sport car. And it is a thousand times better than a comb over or a hair piece. Just Sayin.

I shaved my head back in 2006 and should have done it many years sooner so I am bald by choice. Before I shaved my head I told myself if I was losing my hair and Rogaine didn't work I would would take care of it myself--I simply skipped the whole losing my hair/Rogaine step...

Bald and shaved is in. So guys, don't worry. I think if a man is bald, growing a gotee makes your entire look attractive. I am so into bald men, even though my ex had long hair. It turns me on. Having hair growing out on the side, then bald on top looks worse than being bald or shaved.
SO MEN, BE PROUD. BALD IS IN.

I've thought about it but I'm not sure I would look good with a shaved head.

hair graft surgery can come from the back of the head or other useable body hair. Hair graft surgery is VERY expensive and not covered by insurance. Average is $12 a graft (per hair follical). For men who are really bald this can run into lots of money (over $10,000).
Ya don't need those pubes anyway, honey. Let 'em go if you really feel you need hair on your head. I'll take the bald guys any day. It's just hair. Sheesh!

Thats some funny shit there ixian!!! Bald is beautiful!!! At least on the rite person. Not everyone can pull that look off. Ive seen several ppl ive had too say just grow it back man. Lol as far as virilaty, thats a load of crap dude. Ive shaved my head for over 5 yrs now & wished I wouldve done it longer. Its cooler, cleaner & sexier!! A lot of women like it. Maybe you should give it a try? Or perhaps youve got too many lumps on your head?? Lol.

I dont know bout commanding authority? You tend too get the attention of ppl ive noticed thru the yrs. Ive been told it can be an intimidating look. Im outspoken in the real world as it is, but I have noticed a difference in getting & keeping ppls attention.

I gotta tell you, I'm seeing the most handsome man, and yes he is bald. I wouldn't have him any other way!!!! I love the feel of his soft, smooth head.

I have realized recently that I have a bit of a school girl crush on a man who is bald. I don’t know if he shaves or any other reason for his baldness. What I noticed first was that he was tall (cuz I am) and then I noticed his eyes. They are the most kind eyes. Would I have noticed those eyes if I was distracted by a bad comb over? Sad to say, quite possible. Hair or no hair...beard or no beard...short or tall...I think I am drawn most of all to a certain level of self confidence (not to be confused with arrogance) and kindness.

It has nothing to do with the lack of hair. It all comes down to confidence. I go out with my cousin on occasion and I never have a problem getting a girls number or flirting throughout the night. He is a tall good looking guy with a full head of hair. He has a serious self confidence issues and doesn't understand confidence at all. Always wonders how I get so much attention. I started balding at 24 and also started shaving my head the day I noticed my hair was falling out. I wouldn't even know what to do with hair now if I had some.

It happened one day, one warm sunny day at the farmers market. Light glistened off a gorgeous bald head, and I was hooked! I hadn't noticed this kind of attraction until that specific moment. Wow, bald men can walk around showing off a part of their naked body that most people keep covered up! How sexy is that? Yumm!!

I'll be brave enough to post this Before reading 7 pages of responses...
I began my 'Follically-challenged' journey in my early 30's...the latest of any male in my family.
I was self-conscious about it for years...till my 2nd wife told me that it didn't matter
(Her favorite actor was Sean Connery)
nearly as much as the content of my personality!
Which is why our Honeymoon was 'planned' for 10 years!
(It terminated at 5... )
Sure...I have my flaws, but I no longer consider my reduction of hair as one of them!!
I recently cut my (remaining) hair short, so it's not quite as glaring as the
~thin-top/shaggy sides~ look...but _shave_ it...?? No thanx...
Tried it once...didn't like the Razor-burn on my scalp..!!

Any middle-aged female excluding all bald gentlemen from her quest for love is thinking as irrationally as a middle-aged male who excludes all post-menopausal ladies from his quest for love.

Dude, it is not that bad. You still get dates, sex, and arguments, nothing changes. You may not get the same women, but you wouldn't want them anyway.

And Procol lies, because I would marry him.
I have dated, and once married, gentlemen who were bald, and likely will date them again.
Perhaps I simply don't care because it doesn't change my perspective of you that much, since I am looking up.
Some balding looks better with a ruff, and some better clean - shaven. It just depends.
You know, it's quite nice to put aftershave there, because if a woman lays her cheek against the top of your head, when we walk away, the scent carries. Mmmm.

If you are losing your hair, shave it off or do a 'military buzz cut' on it - you can still look very attractive and sometimes even more attractive without it. Just be confident ;)

I think men need to remember that most women are attracted to confidence with or without the hair. I have dated bald men and prefer that to some man holding on to the last bit of his hair. A clean, confident & well groomed guy gets my attention every time. Hair or no hair!

I date women who never thought they'd be with a bald man, and I've had women spend an entire conversation staring at my hairline. Some women would rather be with an overweight guy with a full head of hair, than a guy who takes care of himself who is afflicted with mother natures little joke of too much testosterone. It's all good.
