Well … yes and no. I have dated women as much as 20 years younger, and as much as 10 years older. I want someone that I find attractive, someone that is fun to be with, and someone who is adventurous.

The percentage of women meeting those criteria does go down with age. But if you are attractive, fun, and adventurous, I could care less what the numbers on a birth certificate say.

But do you really want a 65 year old guy? Plenty of women want younger men too and get them.

^ I'd rather not think about it. Yesterday I was dining alone on a pub patio, and had the great misfortune of having to hear a drunken pornographic conversation between a guy in his twenties and a woman my age who was relentlessly persuing him. She wasn't looking for a tennis partner, to be sure.

Did they leave together?
I like to be on my own to over hear...
Hard to stop myself from joining in.
I pretend to read but can feel my ear growing LOL
My personal fav was when she told him
" ok, tonight I am leaving Hubby, pick me and the kids up at 8"
and he was like
" I have to go back to work for awhile"
I assumed awhile was Eternity.

You could have helped out a sister by offering to make it a 3 way. Feminists have been saying for decades that women have to support each other. But time after time, you just leave your sisters twisting in the wind. Shame on you.

And I, for one, think this world would be a better place if more people would say it out loud. Everyone over the age of 12 knows that 99.9998% of men think that way. But society, the rules of civilization, etiquette, all tell us that we must not say it out loud.

And some women are even beginning to admit to having sexual fantasies.

http://www.bustle.com/articles/61918-the-6-most-common-sexual-fantasies-for-women-might-surprise-you

“Women do not have sexual fantasies, period. Men do.” That obviously ridiculous statement came from a 1973 article in Cosmo, because, at the time, the thought was that women were, oh, I don’t know, not human. But that same year, writer Nancy Friday released her book My Secret Garden, a collection of real women’s fantasies, and finally, the door was swung right the eff open to the reality that women sexually fantasize just as much as men.

And, not surprisingly, “Having A Threesome” came in as number 5 on the list of sexual fantasies for women.

And back on topic, which is “Confused about You're too old for me responses from women”.

Saturday night, I’m out with the Meetup group, live music, dancing, a really good time. At one point I dance with, and then talk with, a fine looking specimen of the opposite sex. This woman must have been 70, but was working like crazy to look good for her age. About $25k in capped teeth, a lot of hours spent in the gym, nice dress, skimpy on the top and bottom showing off nice assets.

But if you knew what to look for, the age was quite apparent. I didn’t care, a woman goes to that much trouble and expense to look good, I’m going to admire it! So we’re dancing, and talking, and having a couple of drinks, and we get off on the subject of dating. She proceeds to inform me that she only dates “younger men”. I had to byte my tongue to keep from saying, “I’m younger than you!” But I didn’t say it, just let that one slide, and found someone else about 15 years younger to dance with and talk with.

I'd lay odds that she used "younger" as a polite euphemism for something else.

That is quite possible, and indeed that thought did occur to me.

In this older demographic, where nearly everyone is widowed or divorced, the most common “polite euphemism” is “I’m not ready to date yet.” Which I always take to mean, “I’m not ready to date YOU yet. Maybe when I get more desperate…”

But all kidding aside, I was just surprised to hear that from someone older than myself.

I like not ready to date YOU yet LOL

She didn't actually tell you her age, did she? I'm surmising that you judged her age to be around 70 from her hands or some other external feature. You could be wrong, though.

However, I'm pretty sure that even if she knew for a fact that she was older than you, she likely judged herself to be more "well-preserved" for her age than you were for yours.

Interesting developments here. The comments made me curious enough to try and find out more. I reached out to people I know in this and other Meetup groups, and found a friend who knows her and her particulars from another Meetup group.

My estimate of her age was very close, she is a recent transplant from LA, and is featured in at least one music video produced in recent years. And her last boy friend in LA was in his 30’s, so yeah, she does like them younger (a LOT younger than me!).

Hey, if you got it, flaunt it!

I don't know. A 70 something year old dating a 30 year old sounds almost like pedophilia in my book. I try not to judge because they are two consenting adults, but when I internalize that situation, I feel all sorts of "icky". Even if the situation was flipped and I was the one who was 69-70 while I was dating a 25-30 year old. There is no way that is possible for me to be comfortable with that sort of situation.

^You might have a different viewpoint on that, when you get nearer to 70, sport…. :-D

Anyway, ask the Trumpster… if you’re rich enough, they will flock.

It is the cries of that 200 year old bleached beaver pelt on his bald ass. It just sort of whimpers, and looks sickly. Women can not resist the sickly pelt ass-piece that smells of money!

Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children.

Which is why I said "almost".
It is not pedophilia, but does contain the same amount of ick factor. It just means I do not want to burn them alive because I have no business telling two consenting adults what to do. I know all too well what pedophilia actually is.

I would question the validity of this claim, if she's just telling people that her last boyfriend in LA was 30-something. I can't imagine a guy in his 30's chasing after a woman in her 70's, no matter what she does to look younger. It seems more like a fantasy story. Talk is cheap. What would they have in common?

I don’t think it’s quite as bad as all that. I had estimated her age as +/- 70, and was told (by someone who knows her) that she is older than me (65), but not yet 70. So, split the difference, say 67 or 68. And when she was in LA, maybe 66 or 67? And “in his 30s” could be 39, so not as bad as you make it sound.

About 3 years ago, I had a fling with a woman who was 71 (I was about 62). We had a very nice time for about 3 months, and then she took up with a younger man (maybe 35 or thereabouts). We had a lot of fun together, and occasionally talk even now. The last time I talked to her, they were still together.

Let’s face it, an attractive woman is an attractive woman. Yes, her age will show, but she can still be very attractive if she had the right attributes to start with, and works hard at maintaining. And beaucoup money definitely helps with that. Combine attractive appearance with a really fun attitude towards life, and there you are …
