Harley's, it just shows that they really don't know to much about bikes. While I love the sound of a push rod Harley the only one worth the money off the showroom floor is the VRod. The others are 10 years behind. I can't wait until they say Triumph...

Come on now, Tumuch, of course they don't know much about bikes, but they DO know what they like.
So just be the angel that you are, and let them give you what YOU like :)

Yeah, could be they just don't know anything about bikes, although here in the more "redneck" parts of the Valley it can also mean they're of the hyper-conservative "my-way-or-the-highway" persuasion ("it's gotta be Jee-zus, Harleys, Nascar, 4X4's, and Right Wing politics... or else!"). Kinda the same way that Harley purists don't accept the otherwise cool V-Rod, just 'cuz it was co-designed by Porsche. BTW, IMHO the only thing sounds better than a Triumph is a good ol' Norton Commando, with Dunstall pipes natch'!! ;-p

I'm gonna Rage here: I find women say:

"looking for an honest guy"
-no one's gonna be 100% honest the first few months of a relationship. Common sense, your going to exaggerate, omit, and straight up lie to present yourself as the best possible you.

Take me for example, Am I gonna say it took me 7 years to graduate college, probably not. How about the fact I was on a financial fast track but burnt out and over worked till I was drinking a bottle of single malt every night. Na, I mange a portfolio for a select group of clients or I day trade (all which is true).

For all those girls taking pics from a downward angle in soft light, don't kid yourself, that's misrepresenting yourselves too. Its a distorted pic.

^^^ or how about those ladies, who always seem to "fudge" their birth dates, and then claim "the site won't let me change it, blah blah blah". This isn't lying either ladies? if you've lied right out of the gate, why would you expect honesty from someone else? O,r the whole "I'm a a few extra pounds", then they show pics where they look like Dumbo the Elephant going to a feeding. Honey, just say something HONEST like: "I've let myself go over the years, but am constantly trying to evolve and change. I'm in the process of dropping a few tons", or something similarly facetious. It's ok, no one's perfect, and yet so many women here 'demand/expect" men to be honest with them.

Or those who say they're "separated"(this is for guys and gals), NO, You're still married, and when the time comes that you no longer are married, then you're not "separated" you're divorced. "Separated" tells men that there's a chance you still might go back to your ex, why would you do that to someone else, if you yourselves don;t want it done to you?

Well there is some fudging on ages and married status all the time here but the one question I would love and would hold the most interest to me would be a drop down...

Marital status...divorced
How Many Times?_____

I think the number of divorces would big the biggest fib of all, just seems they don't count if you were in your 20's, they only lasted a year....

Actually I'm OK with multiple past relationships, and even multiple divorces, because in a way the marriages show these are folks who don't do things in "half measures" (even if their judgment can be kinda sketchy)! Although a track record with nuthin' but short-term relationships (or marriages)... not good!!

the statement I got recently that was the biggest "NEXT!" yet ... was the photo
of an obviously ageing, grossly obese man, apparently standing in his bathroom,
GLOWERING at the camera ... and naked, at least from the belly button up ...
shudder ...

I can't imagine that works for him but, still, he's using it ... so ??? his message
to me was completely inarticulate so I'm guessing he's gotta turn heads by using
his body ...

I TRY to be NOT critical ... or mean ... but ... wow.

Well it's not like WOMEN would ever resort to such shameless tactics, right ? ? ?
Why DO they call Southern California "Silicon Valley the Second" anyway? I dated a gal with a perfect pair, but you had to be careful, because if she swung her chest without warning and one of those cement bags hit your face, it could definitely do some damage. Talk about your "genetically modified" goodies, , ,
Come on now, admit it. Your friend's mistake wasn't the body, it's that he's got an UGLY body. Maybe he found out that Obamacare won't cover those lipo treatments, so he's just gonna wing it and hope for the best. Who knows, maybe I'll be right behind him :)

Well I for one clearly would never "next" cement bags and I can't think of a much better way to damage your face.

You should spend some time clicking around on Jdate, they have more cement there than Jimmy Hoffa :)

Ah, I see you're a gamblin' man (unfortunately not my way in matters of the heart...lol)!!

BTW, had an interesting email this evening from one of those gals who insists on including her adult daughter in all her profile pics. Have never quite figured out what those are all about... whether it's a "package deal", or the daughter is what mom used to look like, or else she just doesn't know how to crop a photo, or...?!!

Well hello Eleuthero! Happy New Year!

see all these profiles that say the glass is half full

When I go to a restaurant and let's say I drink 1/2 of my water, and the waiter asks if I'd like more water. I am not thinking, "my glass is half full but I will have the waiter fill me up" noooooo, I am thinking, "yes, my glass is half empty so refill, please!" :)

Usually, I am a positive thinking person but I am also a realist. If 1/2 my water is gone from my glass,
it's HALF EMPTY! When the candy dish has hardly any candy left, it's almost gone....I guess you could say...."there's some left."

Just had to get that off my non-augmented chest :)

Well, if my glass is 1/4 full and I'm thirsty I ask for that refill if it's 3/4 empty and I'm not thirsty, I'll pass...
If a mom wants to gift boobs, go for it especially if I was dating her daughter.
As for candy, if it's M&Ms and it's 7/8 full there is room to fill it up, it's its Tootsie Rolls toss em in the trash regardless.

The M&Ms won't be 7/8 full if I am anywhere close by.

"When they take me for a walk after dinner, they make sure to pull tight on my choke collar and give me a short leash."
That might be fun, if your date is the right kind of person. I would begin to worry if they carried a baggie and a scoop, for you to do your "business," so be careful out there!

GT18: No baggie and scoop needed, this is where "Depends" come in. (you do remember right?) ;)

Eleuthero: you know, GT18 might be onto something.....? However, I'm not into choke collars or leashes....sounds too painful.

But staying on topic....if a man said in his profile he was into choke collars and leashes, I think I would have to say next but it all DEPENDS, I guess..... ;)

Driving - You have a way with words, don't you?
As I remember, , when you're young a fun date might be s'mores, , , but to us old folks it's more like s'nores :)
