Nice choice and one to watch on Sunday
Yep there's a reason that he's tied with that other Smith in pay - the QB who are most always the highest paid player on the field..

To Hawaiianluau

One interesting fyi for viewing pleasure. Alex Smith calls two plays in the huddle on every play. When you hear him yelling 'KILL KILL KILL' it means to kill the first play called and go with the second. When he says 'Let it roll' they let the original play roll.

The Cowboys and probably many other teams have used the same sytem as many times you can hear Romo yell " kill kill kill" or " Omaha Omaha" in fact if Im not mistaken I think Ive heard Eli yell "Omaha Omaha" this year also.

The only reason I dont really care for this system is the exra time it takes to line up on the line of scrimmage when callng 2 plays. That and sometimes I think players can get confused as to remebering which play is being called. I have seen these QB's get frustrated with missed assigments. Specially Romo who you can see gets mad when the reciever runs the wrong route.

However it is definately working well for Smith who looks far more comfortable and confident this year than any other year. What really impresses me with the Niners is the tenacity in their tackling. Not only do they not miss they hit really hard and in the Cowboys game many players were hurting the next week

Goodwin hurt his leg in the second quarter but I think he returned a few plays later.

Yes the tackling has been a joy to behold. I normally use this expression when describing a free flowing sport like surfing or skating but watching defense at The Stick is pure poetry in motion.

To simulate playing against the 49ers, grab a football and run with it straight into a wall.

Grew up in the bay area and was raised a 49ers fan, I will raise my kids to be 9ers fans. I Stuck with them through the sh*tty years after Ed Debartalo gave up his shares to his sister who put very little effort into the team. We have been a young team ever since and now it's our time to shine. I can't wait for this weekend for them to play!! Go Niners!!!

Niners didn't deserve to win.
Giants got the game handed to them on a silver platter.
Both games this weekend ending in blunders.

Any predictions on the draft? I am really looking forward to it! The Niners were sooo good last year and sooo close to going all the way. With maybe just a couple little holes filled during the off season with the Draft and free agency, the team should be the team to beat in the NFC next season...

Oh and yeah, I have to confess, I went from an Alex Smith hater to Alex Smith fanboy in one season flat. Jim Harbaugh you are AMAZING!

David Akers hits the best FG in history (2 other 63 yarders were in Denver and 1 was with an illegal by today's rules shoe).

Contrary to popular critisism Alex Smith does know how to play the game.

A defense so good that it had no way of getting any better somehow did.

Offense? - Randy Moss proves to be the perfect aquisition for the red zone woes of last year and Frank Gore is just as awesome as always if not more so.

= the team to beat in 2012 for the rest of the league.
