Well, Santorum is a failure as a Christian, as a Catholic, and also as a presidential candidate. My guess is that as he sees the inevitable end of his run coming closer and closer he is becoming "shrill", as characterized by the Romney campaign, resorting to hurling cuss words at reporters who question his remarks. That doesn't sound very Christian, does it?

But tell me, what makes them "Not real Christians"?

To begin, the fake Christians who have appropriated the name of Jesus to try to pass on us a counterfeit religion based on ideas derived from an old. Some of those atavistic ideas were clearly rejected by the examples given to us by Jesus while he lived among the humans. If someone wants to call himself/herself a Christian, then that person must clearly accept that when the examples of Jesus are in contradiction with the text of the old testament, then the examples of Jesus supersede the old text. Noboby who rejects the teachings of Jesus can be ever considered a Christian.

The second reason that I have for saying that the fundamentalists, evangelicals, fake-catholics like Santorum, and the whole slew of self-declared Christians who use the name of Jesus to hide their greed and to take advantage of people who don't have the ability to see through the real face of the fast-talking charlatans who use the old bible as a prop in their con.

How in hell can the "Christian" fundamentalists and evangelicals, et al. explain the destructive crusade that they launched against the government of Nicaragua in the 1980's. How can they ever say that they wanted to help the poor people of Nicaragua when they launched a destructive war to overthrow the government that the people had supported? After the end of that war illegally financed by the Reagan administration with the help of the "Christian" fundamentalists, Nicaragua was left poorer than it had been before, struggling for more than 20 years to find a way to help the people to achieve a better standard of living. The clear evidence that the criminal war launched by Reagan and the bunch of fundamentalists headed by Pat Robertson was a failure is that after 20 years of struggling against the poverty rained on Nicaragua by the consequences of the Contra war, the people of Nicaragua elected the same leadership that Reagan and Robertson worked very hard to overthrow. Those were 20 years lost fro the people of Nicaragua. I remember reading about schools closing down because of lack of money to support them during those years.

The self-described "Christians" that participated in that crime against humanity have Nicaraguan blood on their hands.

One can only hope that Santorum gains more delegates...sending the GOP convention into disarray with a GOP brokered convention all bets are off...these evangelicals might decide to nominate God's self-appointed one...and that would certianly be a swing vote decider for many fence riders....;o)

Get real, man! Romney will very likely be the GOP nominee come Nov; especially if he takes wisconsin. He'll have the head of steam that he needs without it coming down to a delegate count; secondly you guys on the far left have to dearly hope that the SCOTUS does not nix Obama care! If so then the GOP is gonna have more fuel to burn Obama with. He'll be catagorized as inept all around (not just on the economic front), unable to even realize his own objective that he ran on in 2008. At this point, his only secure voting base would be blacks, some latinos, and those on the far left! All the moderates and independants will very likely side with Romney, as will the conservatives albeit reluctantly!

You guys got way more to worry about than RS!

Oh, dayum! Leave it to James Carville:

James Carville chose these colorful words to describe Rick Santorum after Mitt Romney swept three Republican primaries Tuesday: “He was like a chicken with his head chopped off. The chicken is dead. The only person that don’t know it is the chicken.”

The Democratic strategist, not known to mince his words, said in a late-night interview with CNN that Santorum “can flop around all he wants to [but] they’re not going to nominate him.”

He has suspeneded his campaign which basicly means in so many words that he is not going to continue to run. I've said it for months now that if you don't have a chance at getting to the magic number of 1144 then there is no point of you continuing to run. He should have dropped out after he lost Ohio.

Yeah, he most likely done. Cain, Perry both first suspended their campaigns and a week later told everyone they were out of the race. He's number 2 with not enough gas to make it to the finish line. There is no mathematical way for him to finish 1st. The more he stays in the more he'll hurt his chances in 2016 if Romney doesn't win prez, because he'll just end up upsetting the base by dragging this GOP election out even further esp if it drags to into Aug which would really help Obama chances at a reelection. He is doing the right thing to pull out of the race for the GOP.

Dude is GONE!!! Evangelicals spent the weekend trying to talk sense to him for the sake of the party. Polls here in PA have been leaning toward Romney of late. Frothy finally saw reason in that he would've been pounded in his [former] home state on April 24. Stinkin' weasel was waxing all fake emotional and such, wringing the rag over his sick baby, who BTW has been sick since she was born, with lifelong repeated hospitalizations. (Trisomy 18 - Foundation website gives links to abortion providers since there's no hope of avoiding a short and suffering life.) Now punk daddy Ricky wrings the sentimental rag, talking about the 'family decision' and all the praying over the weekend. This dude is despicable!

Nonetheless, I was hoping like h3ll he'd stay in all the way to the convention, making an a$$ of himself and a pain for Romney. Well, it was a fun circus to watch while it lasted!

Next, a gig with FauxNews, no doubt.

In a way Santorum's failure restores my faith in the Catholic electorate, not the Catholic hierarchy, but the voters. It is like one big voice screaming: We are Catholics, but we aren't stupid! Most older catholics likely remember when John Kennedy run for president. The evangelicals didn't support him. They tried everything they could do to defeat him just because he was a Catholic.

The common folk can figure out the fake catholics like Santorum and Newt Gingrich, people who have been working in concert with the Catholic hierarchy to push the Catholic voters to the reactionary right wing column.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Catholic church would continue losing more and more followers as a consequence of the extreme right wing political stance the hierarchy has been taking lately.

MR is not my nominee; nor am I pro- Obama , as both are inept fools(each in his own way) not that much far removed from Gwb. And this is the way the true powers that be (the folks who really run the country) want it.

With the lagging job figures, rise in fuel costs; higher than expected inflation; massive deficit, and the SCOTUS to decide on Obama care. If Obama care is gutted, then the Obama presidency will be on life support. All MR has to do is keep hammering at his failures, and not say or do anything stupid. If so, then the presidency will be his, though it will not be a landslide! PPle will vote for MR for the same reason they voted for Obama in 2008; they'll want "change"!

Since polls show woman will be the deciding vote in the next election,Romney is in trouble!

not if he picks a woman VP, or a man that is liked by the ladies! Image is verything

Friend, you give me a good chuckle! $arah was a woman. She had a wonderful way of alienating other women, the ones who use their brains.

"...or a man that is liked by the ladies!" What does this mean? Do all "the ladies" like the same kind of man? Are you referring to physical attractiveness? sex appeal? Really?
