Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset, Winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, translated by Tiina Nunnally

Excellent translation. Story of the life and times of a 'Modern' Norwegian (Scandinavian) woman in Medieval Times. A must for any well-read person. IMO

The Black Death by Philip Ziegler. Written in the 1960s so his style took a little getting used to bit I'm fascinated by the world wide impact from the plague.

I checked out 3 books.

The City, Dean Koontz
The Ministry of Thin, Emma Woolf
The Eye Care Revolution, Dr. Robert Abel

I am nearly finished with The City, I liked it but a little different style for Koontz, read part of Ministry of Thin, didn't care for it too much but a few chapters were interesting.

In the Bible I am about halfway through Jeremiah.

Also reading Van Til's Apologetic by Greg Bahnsen.
It is a standard text on the presuppositional method
of Christian apologetics.

For story time I am going through a collection of short works by
M.R. James. Currently on "Mr. Humphreys and His Inheritance."
