the beach was clothing optional
all those bodies stranded like whales
sparkling skin in the sunlight
some with oil to brighten their sheen
others simply being like kings and queens

then we turned into children
laughing with total appeal
and a boat appeared
so we all had a sail
down to bermuda
where the air was clear
and the sand felt like velvet
all of the year...

we never returned from that voyage you see
for the beach was clothing optional
so we decided to stay
free and easy
