Erectile Dysfunction ... how prevalent is it?Page 2 of 8    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)

I always ask for a copy of my blood work when it is taken and I am at doctors visit to discuss the results. I had bllod work done at the end of December this year my free testosterone was 11.9 pg/ml ( normal is 6.6 -18.1 ) and my free testosterone was 876 ng/dl (normal 193-740).

Yes, that is on the high side for a man over 60. IMO every man that cares about his health should include a testosterone check after the age of 45, it's just a good thing to know.

I am fortunate not to be taking any prescription drugs other than hormone treatment. In theory I could do without the hormone treatment, but it's a lifestyle choice for me.

They either USE it or lose it and then resort to medications.

Smokers, heavy drinkers and some medications cause it

Best bet find a sexy lady go for dinner have a glass of wine play footsies and slight petting and by the time your back in a room all systems should be a go

Of course there are many other ways to gain satisfaction but like you I like a man who can perform in all ways. I suggest you lower your age limit perhaps. Many younger men like the older sexperienced woman but of course not for serious relationships, usually. If a man is dating when he "cant get it up" he is quite brave I think. Viagra ironically is only to be taken by the healthy. Men in their forties who are not fit have it often as well, the beer gut etc.

Is this an advert for your sexual desirability!!!. Why not put you are thin, as we can see you are in pics.

I wonder why men have a strong sex drive when they are no longer breeding material, again Nature in overdrive.

Most men in that age group take blood pressure pills or have other health problems where they take Meds. Most Meds cause impotence. A healthy man in that age gourp should not have a problem, if they are NOT taking Meds.
Others causes of impotence are, too many men jerk off to much and/ or drink too much alcohol. I have read men born with diabetes may have problems too.

because they cant afford to cough up 10 bucks a pill.

Buy it online. I can get 100 mg Viagra tablets for a little under $2.50 per pill, split them with a pill splitter ($4.99 at WalMart), and you have 50 mg Viagra tables for about $1.25 each. I get exactly the same pills, in the same plastic packaging, that I was getting from my local pharmacy.

The worst part about buying locally, even with my insurance (which is normally fairly good), they still cost a good deal more than $1.25, and the insurance would only cover 6 a month. Can you just imagine a bunch of insurance company executives sitting around a conference table, arguing about how many times a month you should expect to get laid?

I should add here that my only problem was performance anxiety. When I am with someone that I know and trust, where I am relaxed, there is never a problem. A first encounter with someone new, just pop the little blue pill and have no worries.

I believe that you are 180 degrees off course here. If you don’t have a regular partner, then masturbation can keep all of the parts working and ready for the next “real” encounter.

Would you mind sharing what web site you use? I am very cautious of buying online meds but I would like to take a look at the site.

If you do a search on google you will find that ED is becoming more prevelant in all age groups. Many men use Internet porn and masterbate so frequently that sex with a real live partner isn't stimulating enough. It's easy to re wire your brain with any habitual activity. Everything in moderation they say......

Become a cougar and/or indulge in a variety of alternatives like a good tongue or toys

I've found it's common even in younger guys. I think it may have to do with number of guys taking antidepressants.

I'm type one diabetic, take high blood pressure and depression meds. I feel great, my health is under control, but, the meds most certainly cause my ED. I take Cialis and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I've learned to compensate by performing oral and manual sex on my partner all the time. WShe also has a wonderful toy box. So even if I dont get mine one day, I make sure she gets hers. It works out and when we do have actual intercourse its a bonus for both of us. :)

ya,,,i'm gonna have to agree with the diagnoses most accepted by the masses here,,,,it's the friggin drugs! and listen to the people telling you to take OTHER drugs to counter act the drugs your already on!

it's like Elvis all over again! take one to sleep,,,one to wake up,,one to have sex! omg where does it end! i,,,,,get boners when the wind blows,,,always have and always will,,,,,i hope lol

it's because i take,,NO prescription drugs! at all!! none! and my****gets hard,,,,well,,,it is right now ffs! even talking about boners makes me get hard.......my advice to all you women,,is to find a nice single guy,,no kids,,,,(no stress) and no relationship with parents(more stress) and see how randy a guy like that is

almost 50 stress free and bonerlicious!!!! i totally played this one right!!!! yehaw!

If I am going to be intimate with a man, than his feelings are much much more important than my orgasm.

Some of those drugs can be dangerous and I am not sure I want my partner taking a risk like that.

I would explore other options for the bedroom and try some home remedies (exercise, diet and sleep).

Well kevin, I'll tell you that isn't always the case. A person can have diabetes and/or be on heart medications that will not allow things to work correctly.

While I'll agree that excercise will help, just not always the case.

ED can and is a very demoralizing thing for a guy. I know I have it. Just because the part can't doesn't mean the mind doesnt want it too. Us guys who have this problem do not wish for it.

And I'm sure that Us guys will be turned down once we tell our "partner" about it.

It hurts physcologically and emotionally to have this problem.

Viagara and lots of water. Works most times, but if it's a case of health and meds, well, we can still have fun playing around. More than one way to skin that cat.

I am 53 and I have never had this problem at all, except for a 2 month long bout with kidney stones. Then it didn't work no matter how much I wanted too!! LOL Too much pain at that time. Once the stone passed no problem! I drink a whole lot more water now. I stay in good shape and not taking any meds has to be a plus.

Viagra doesn't always work, you have to rule out any life stressors. Many of the anti-depressants and bp meds. have ED as a common side effect. As far as being ashamed or embarrassed that's only going to make it worse. In my case I feel that a big part of the problem is mental from life altering stress. And these meds. I have to take, well viagra su...ked, let's see what the doc can come up with, pun intended,.

Hey remember all else fails, get the pump. You decide how long the erection is going to last.

So what if the flag doesn't fly...if he has hands, a tongue and some battery operated backup, you can still have an intimate time together. If he is not willing to use hands, tongue or battery operated backup to satisfy you however, he has more issues with sex than just having ED.

+1 on the vacuum pump to fulfill the erection, plus the constrictor rings to keep it.

Yes, dear, I think that over 50 it is a very common problem. But why don't these men try Viagra, Cialis and whatever the other one is? I'm tired of dealing with limp****.

I could of missed it, but I did not see prostate cancer mention .......that is a problem I have. The pills just don't
work. I am single again after many years of marriage, I am having issues of How do I tell any potential lady friends
that The flag will no longer fly. Now, I must say that I am very infavor of oral sex, and I am not opposed to
a little help from a battery device. I guess my point is that if you have prostate cancer and it is removed. There is nothing that a person can do except the pump....... it is not that bad, but it helps to have an understanding
partner.

It can be caused by high blood pressure, diabetese, depression, lots of negative stress.

I became diabetic at 55, it stop. In a new relationship then, i was concern about that. Doctor prescribed Viagra, Cialis and another one.

Ladies you will prefer by far that your man use Viagra, oh he will have a smile, but yours will be greater!
