Ok since I had had more than a few dating experiences on this site I figure I would post.

Ladies please don’t get mad and while I have not read every single post, I certainly hope
some of you get it.

1) Blurry pics where you can’t see facial detail. This is freaking 2012, the quality of pictures you can take these days are amazing and yet you post some poorly lit, crappy picture that would not even pass as a mug shot!? Really!?
2) Pictures taken in front of mirrors in messy bathrooms.
3) Pictures taken in unfinished basements with piles of dirty clothes or piles of crap behind you..
4) Pictures only take from the neck up, if we can’t see your body that is a red flag.
5) Pictures taken with groups of other women, we don’t want to see you in pictures in large groups.
6) Pictures with other dudes in the pic, don’t want to see other guys, catch a clue.
7) Pictures that show a clear disregard for fashion sense, ladies if you are overweight don’t pose in pictures with floral prints, really!
8) Ladies who take pictures “booty” posing, that stupid sideway pose crap, what the hell told you that looks attractive.
9) Pictures taken outside and your home/yard looks like crap or you look like you live in the hood.
10) Pictures of you wearing some stupid hat, covering your hair.
11) Pictures of you wearing a jacket, really!
12) Professional pictures, glamor shots.
13) Comb your hair
14) No sunglasses…

Particularly over the age of 40, if you are still raising kids a man will never be a priority. If you are raising your grandkids then there is a deeper family issue red flag waiting to happen.

If you post a profile in all caps… some of you still do this crap, why?

And profiles with rules, all those damn rules, you don’t need the rules, just do better vetting of respondents and move on.

If you are too busy to actually get to know someone, if you are going to school full time and working full time and raising kids whatever why are you on a dating site? Call a male escort service and save time.
But most of all have the ability to have a basic conversation. I don’t get that the majority of women these days can’t even carry on an elementary conversation. Men seem to be the only ones responsible for conversing.

And lastly ladies, with all of these crappy dating websites out there you don’t think some of us notice that you are on all of these websites with different profiles.
Women have turned more into liars and deceitful types than men have always been accused of.
Oh yes the attitude, some of you no matter how attractive you think you are none of you are good looking enough to spin the kind of attitude some of you manifest.
This experience is hard enough; some of us are seriously looking to find that special someone. If you are not serious then step off for the sake of honest daters out there. Please!

As of yet I have met one very nice lady on another site ,,3 years ago ,,,she wrote me first ,,I'm in France she is In
Prauge ,,Czech Republic ,,,after a while we Skype and she invite me over ,,,I work it out and fly to meet her ,,she is a very nice ,fun,interesting Lady ,very good time ,happened to be her daughters wedding day ,,weeks later ,,she comes over and stays a week here ,,after that ,,,well life and work happened ,

we still keep in touch often ,,I even went over again last year to help paint her flat ,,,,,well sometimes you just meet
good friends ,it would have been maybe different if we lived closer ,don't know , but I'm ever hopefull ,,here or IRL

No. I've had only a few dates since I started online dating several years ago. I get ignored more than anything; or, if I do manage to get a woman to talk, they vanish in the middle of the convo. What I really dislike about online dating is how some sites (Match.com) gouges you for everything. You'd think as a paying member you'd get to message anyone. Well, you do; however, you either have to pay an extra $10 a month for anyone to reply ; or, get lucky and find another paying member (nearly impossible to identify) to message.

All in all, online dating is more about making money than finding someone to date.

It worked OK for me but it's what you make it. If you're expecting instant fireworks/chemistry with online strangers, you're setting yourself up for failure. I had countless dates & a couple short-term relationships (2-3 months) from online dating but I ended up with someone I've already known for 11+ years who I met at work when I was 19.

I get plenty of offers but I've pretty much given up looking for a date here ... mostly because most men my age just can't keep up with me. I'm not ready for the "couch" life and they get out of breath walking from the handicap parking to the automatic door at the grocery store soooo .......

I want someone who will ride a bike with me, work in the yard with me, do home improvement jobs with me ... ... plus he has to be willing to do the dishes once in a while and maybe run the sweeper (I'll do the bathrooms - I don't expect miracles) ... I still work full time!

You just listed a bunch of conversation starters. If women want to know more about my interests, then they should ask. Just because I list or anyone else list an interest, it doesn't mean that they are 100% absorbed in that interest. Just to make things clear for you, here's the definition of "interest": the state of wanting to know or learn about something or someone.

Cowboy boots: I have a pair I bought recently for work. They've been the best thing for my feet since slice bread.
Gaming: Something I do in my free time especially at night when I am up until 4 am because of my work schedule.
Reptiles: Not everyone's thing and I understand that. They are more interesting than your everyday dog or cat.
Chevy Trucks: I own a chevy truck which falls into a specific generation that I happen to like. Would you understand what I meant by a squarebody Chevy truck? Prbably not.
Exotic Animals: These are animals which include rodents, birds, reptiles, insects and etc that are not commonly found in your average household.
Car shows: Your loss. Car shows are a great way to spend time with someone else.

I truly understand, car shows are like sports (which i'm not a fan of). They can be outside, which some people enjoy any excuse for, esp. those of us in snow country. There's time to walk and talk. Old cars tend to create conversation about "good old days", and reminiscing about what Grandpa used to drive and other stories about that, and being interested in mechanical devices and how they work. The event can be held in a variety of places, at a nice restaurant or old ice cream joint the old timers went to for socializing/dating, or at museums as fund raisers, etc.

Not everyone's cup of tea, and the ladies who went with me, were really into me and honestly, couldn't plan anything else that day so it beat watching TV. Movies, music and travel do seem to be the most popular pursuits. As for a list of doing things around someone's house, that struck a chord with me b/c I was telling a friend yesterday about how no one ever came to visit my parents or I out here in the sticks, we always jumped into the car to visit them. Part of that is we live out in the sticks, not a lot to do. And part of that is, yeah, we might end up helping around someone's house b/c we had the tools. As long as they provided lunch and good company, however, it still felt more like being around friends than doing labor.

again, tho, not everyone's cup of java.

Those are common because they are generic terms that can mean anything:
Movies-Is that sitting at home and watching Netflix or a movie of the week on TV, or is it actually going to theater?
Music-Does that mean dancing-going to a club and dancing all night, or is it listening to a radio?
Travel--Does that mean going to the local mall, or is it traveling to an exotic tropical island half way around the world?
