Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

I always get a bit put off if a guy says he wants to 'meat' me !

Lol best-foot-forward, this is one of them 'unintentionally funny' cases of poor spelling! :-)

I would like to point out to the OP this is a dating site if you are contacting men on here just to tell them they cant cant spell then you are a time waster.

My daughter had a message on here, some time ago now, saying 'hi sweaty'. We think he meant 'sweety' . She didn't reply.

Haha, this just shows how one misplaced vowel can change the whole meaning, and effect, of the greeting.

Bad spelling and grammar puts me off – not if it's just a typo (everyone does that) but if it looks like she doesn't know how to write English then it's unlikely we're going to be able to have interesting discussions.

And it's just lazy to make a mess of your sales pitch. If you can't be bothered even to put together a coherent profile, I'm going to assume your heart isn't in this site and you're not a serious prospect.

i met one girl that once we sat down to coffee said "look i just have to ask, what are you really looking for?"
i replied i'm looking for someone that will complement me!
she looked down at her coffee, looked up n said "you have nice eyes!"
some things get lost in the translation :-)

Bad spellers often go on to become killers...I think that's what msg 102 was pointing out. Haven't done any research on it....but you'll probably find most of them can't spell.

Have just seen a headline 'Fistey girl seeks fistey guy'...conjures up some uncomfortable images, am sure she means feisty??
