Snort laughing being a dealbreaker? Are people really that picky?
I started snort laughing if something was really funny when I was pregnant and still do it from time to time if I'm laughing pretty hard. I think it's cute.

I don't laugh at inappropriate times except for sometimes at scary parts in a movie, maybe it's a nervous habit lol.

Of course it is not a deal breaker in a relationship, I mean that is just silly...Though if I see someone's child/children gleaming at something funny, or a disabled senior sitting on a park bench reminiscing of a humours memory of his passed wife, and they are snorting like dirty pigs, of course that type of public display is absolutely disgusting...

I did this recently... and thank goodness my BF didn't dump me. He did make fun of me, though... should I dump him? LOL.

jeebuz krist... the things people will post questions about............

Snorting is something some do without being able to help it. If it's done during times you feel are inappropriate, then it's more about the inappropriate behavior, not the snorting, per se.

Laughing at a funeral, and I'm not talking about the kind of giggles that happen to almost every one of us, during the most inappropriate moments...... I'm referring to the OP's first post.... would be something that would make me question the person's maturity.

Take it from someone who snorts. At least I know when to laugh and when not to. Then again, maybe this dood has a quirky sense of humor, and if THAT bothers you, then move on.

I guess it depends on the snort itself and frequency of snorts because some people laugh frequently. I get that it's probably not intentional but if it's something I had to hear every 5 minutes... not sure I could put up with it. An occasional snort laugh now and then isn't a deal breaker, sometimes it's actually kind of cute. A candid moment, if you will.

"dealbreaker: "pig" who publicly expresses his desire for careless and casual sex, on a dating site"

@vestaceres
I don't see anyone expressing his desire for "careless" sex, unless you automatically equate casual sex/intimate encounters with "careless" sex. That would be your bias & stereotyped viewpoint then. Just because some sex may be casual, doesn't mean it's careless. In fact, one might be more prone to wear protection with a casual sex partner than with a partner in a serious relationship.

As for your qualifier "on a dating site", last time I checked, POF provides the "intimate encounter" option, & "not looking for a serious relationship or any kind of commitment", so that would qualify POF as a casual hookup site as much as it's a "dating site". Someone could look at your profile, see "long term", & say "what kind of woman would look for a serious relationship on an internet site, AND on a site that allows people looking for casual sex?" Lol.

Finally, surely you don't think we're so gullible as to believe that you've never had casual sex in your adult life?? Lol.

Unfortunately you're post makes you come across like some prudish religious fanatic., when I know you're not really. I usually enjoy your intelligent posts I see on other forums. Are you saying that sexual desires are immoral or shameful & should be repressed if you don't happen to be in a serious relationship? That if someone is single simply through circumstances, that they don't deserve some sort of mutually respectful sex life with another consenting adult?? I could reverse roles here & ask you what is someone who's "single" like you doing with children? Mmmmm? But I won't, lol. Really now, think twice before you judge others.

In a word "no", what would you prefer them whining? Any laugh has got to be the sign of a happy content person, who is happy to be around you.

Whenever I pass a guy on the street exhibiting the same demeanor as someone I once dated, I cringe. I did at times think what am I doing here (with him). However he had other qualities that shone through. Why should a person have to change a part of who they are to fit in when it causes no harm to others.. embarrassment doesn't really count! Not like it's within their control.

I gather that the snort laugh is the laugh Urkle had?

Can't imagine it being a dealbreaker for me, but I suppose it was for that girl Urkle had his eye on. Can't remember her name right now!
