Funny thing.. if you think it won't happen, it won't. If you think it will happen, it will. Wonderful things, those self-fulfilling prophecies. *grins*

So not true for some of us. :(
I would bet you didn't think you could until someone did it for you.
Mind over matter is a big hurtle to jump when from day one,and decades later
you have never orgasmed without clitoral stimulation.

I truly doubt that the" 75% of women" who don't orgasm from penetration alone are just not thinking positively.

I have a different perspective on the whole thing. To me, I don't care if she cums or not and I am comfortable with that. She knows that I don't care and tries to make certain that she makes an extra effort to cum. Whether it be by repositioning herself or even faking it. To me it doesn't matter if she even enjoys the experience because when it comes to sex, I make the moves and if they are not doing it for the woman then, it's time to move on.

Wonder what your perspective and experience would be if you did care?

I assume you meant if they didn't appreciate your lack of care about their pleasure they should move on!

I know I would if I was with someone with your mentality.

I learned a valuable lesson years ago. It's very simple, and I've taken it to heart as it came to me from a wise sage I once knew.

"There's no such thing as a frigid woman, only clumsy men".

If a man will take time to learn his craft and trade with his woman, it will be to the benefit of them both.

Best,
Rabbit.

That's not true sir. Orgasm is possible due to a dopamine increase outside the axon terminals. If her attention deficit disorder was mis-diagnosed as depression and she was put on an SSRI instead of Adderall or Ritalin, she won't cum even if you're Brad Pitt, even if you automatise the intercourse with a mechanical device, day-long. Her brain is mis-tuned in a way in which she just can't ever achieve that.

When it comes to quality sex, serotonin is poison. And sex increases serotonin by itself. If she takes too many SSRIs, you CANNOT make her cum. Some people on bluelight.ru reported a successful usage of cyproheptadine in inhibiting serotonin increase during sex. They said that after the first orgasm, during onset of cyproheptadine, the second orgasm was achieved faster than the first, and the third was achieved faster than the second.

At the peak of cyproheptadine concentrations, orgasms took only a few seconds to achieve. On cyproheptadine comedown, orgasms were impossible to achieve regardless of stimulation. Users reported that, IVing methamphetamine during cyproheptadine comedown only slightly improved their ability to achieve orgasm and nearly caused serotonin irritation symptoms because, after an hour or so, serotonin was increasing faster than dopamine.

Also, if you look at statistics:

- 23% of women in their 40s and 50s take antidepressants, a higher percentage than any other group (by age or sex)
- Women are 2½ times more likely to be taking an antidepressant than men

Anti-depressants, commonly SSRIs, will lower or inhibit your ability to orgasm! And your man has nothing to do with it! A handsome man that knows how to please a woman will increase her dopamine...a bit...but he CANNOT compete with potent medication, EVER.

This is true to me based on my experiences. Although some medications affect different women differently. Knew a woman who took xanex that could not get off and would get frustrated about it. We went our different ways because it also made her mean.

Reports like that are common:

OK it's probably been brought up 100 times B4 now but i've done a search on this site & can't find anything without going through topic after post after post coz the search results dont highlight specific words & it's driving me mental.............
I cant climax.
I know it's coz of the friggin Xanax coz i've been on it for about 2 wks and since then: Nothing. I've tried satisfying myself & even then: Nothing. :oops:
Are there any other women out there who are going (have gone) bloody crazy & increasingly frustrated with this dysfunction? Or dealt with it?
Should i go back to my doc & ask?
Help!

The thing is, IF she can orgasm, the orgasm will be fkn great on GABAs. Really good. Problem is many can't get there without dopaminergic help. I can understand the frustration.

Users on bluelight reported that this orgasm inhibition can be overcome with excessive rubbing, but the rubbing has to get so intense that the arm muscles often go sore before orgasm, and you can also damage the nerves by trying too hard.

Say the serotonin/dopamine/norepinephrine with an SSRI is:

-------Dopamine: ||||||||||||||
--------Serotonin: |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Norepinephrine: |||||||||||||||||| (60bpm heart rate)

This is a "can't cum" situation. If you now add oral 30mg Adderall IR to this, 2 hours later it would yield something like:

-------Dopamine: ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
--------Serotonin: ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Norepinephrine: ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| (130bpm heart rate)

And assume you add 50ug Clonidine you would get:

-------Dopamine: ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
--------Serotonin: |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Norepinephrine: ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||| (80bpm heart rate)

Both scenarios represent abnormal levels of serotonin and norepinephrine. So you have a choice of discontinuing the SSRI and yield a shitty (but feasable) orgasm:

-------Dopamine: |||||||||||||
--------Serotonin: |||||||||||||
Norepinephrine: ||||||||||||||||||

Or you can supplement amphetamines with clonidine and have a great orgasm. The problem is that psychiatrists don't care if you can't cum. As long as you don't jump off a bridge, to them you're FINE.

Dude, dude cut it out. YOu're getting too technical of us. What you are telling us is that there's a female orgasmitron medication. If you take that to market, you will be richer that Bill Gates and the guy from Facebook.

You know, men want to have a hard on, so they came up with viagra and all the other ones. Women don't have that issue, their issue is reaching orgasms. Some can have 8 orgasms in one session. Others it takes 3 sessions to have one orgasm. Most women can only reach an orgasm through clitoral stimulation. But this would do it. What are you waiting for?

Yep, everyone's got a different body. What works for one nerve cluster, may not work for others due to bone structure around it.

One secret to orgasm (out of many:) ), is rythym. In some cases, the woman gets closer to orgasm, mentions it, and the guy...speeds up to "get closer". Like its home base and the faster he covers the distance, the sooner he gets there. Actually, there may be some women who also consider a distance to cover, and change the angle or speed. Or maybe their arm just got tired :)

so if you find something's working...don't alter it. that may be the missing secret.

@Dan...you are a FOUNTAIN of information....and I always find it fascinating to read your posts about the intricacies of chemical interactions/effects, etc. You are obviously well-informed and very intelligent...
My ONLY problem when you discuss the topic of psychotropic drugs is that you speak as though they ALL behave in such a "predictable" manner, when we know that's NOT necessarily the case...More often than not, it's really a case of "hit or miss" with MANY drugs and their effects on people, because our knowledge of the human brain is SO limited....
We have seen over the years that many drugs , take Prozac for example, while being targeted for "depression" actually produced many "unintentional" side effects, such as suicidal ideation...
Sort of counterproductive....lol

My point is that the medical profession in general and that includes psychiatry, have this REALLY bad habit of assuming that everyone will react the same way to the same drug/stimulus/treatment/ etc.

We LEARN over and over and OVER again, that is NOT the case, but yet, it remains the "favoured approached" in diagnosis and treatment....
But, such is Life....

You are right about the majority of SSRI's but I have to disagree with what you said about Xanax...
While libido in general tends to decrease with the use of AD's, many women in particular that I have run across that take Xanax have actually found that by "relaxing" them, they have experienced an INCREASE in sensitivity and ability to orgasm....

I'm thinking that aside from the chemical effects, there are also psychological effects that come into play in this particular area....
But,I digress....

As far as anybody "telling" anybody else whether or not THEY have experienced a vaginal orgasm, well, I just find that laughable, and wouldn't give much credence to ANY "study" done on the subject without a whole lot more info on how the study was conducted, sample size, demographic involved, etc.
And I frankly wouldn't be even bothered checking into it because it's a LUDICROUS concept to begin with for anyone to state categorically that vaginal orgasms are a "myth", when we have actual physical evidence that demonstrates there are SEVERAL places within the vagina that are able to produce orgasm through stimulation, although NOT "all women" are capable of experiencing that....due to individual physical differences...
While both the vagina and the cervix are supposedly "nerveless" there is STILL a hot debate going on regarding this subject and we are still in the "infancy" of exploration of female sexuality if the studies are to be believed and new evidence including studies with better controls and larger sample sizes are being done all the time...

If a woman CAN'T orgasm through vaginal stimulation alone, that does not mean there is anything wrong with her anymore than those who can are "lying"...there is just not enough actual evidence to support either POV and at this point it is a purely subjective experience...

As for the poster, sorry don't remember who it was, that said something along the lines of how many vaginal orgasms are due to the clitoris being stimulated and "mistaken" for a vaginal climax, well, most of us who have been in our bodies and having sex for our entire lives, actually DO know the difference....LOL

I have personally had both and they are VERY distinct from each other and can depend on a number of factors, such as penis size, length, circumference, sexual position, slow vs fast , time of the menstrual cycle, etc.

My point is, women need to explore what pleases them and works for THEM...Don't listen to what anybody tries to "tell" you about your OWN body...
Find a willing partner and find out for YOURSELF...and don't forget to have some FUN while going about it...*wink*

Xanax binds to the GABAa receptor so we call them GABAs in slang. I was talking about Xanax and said the same thing you said so we agree ^___^

Also, I find it that it's good to know what a substance does as opposed to what it's maketed for. I wouldn't want to die from hypertension with viagra pills next to me thinking "that's for my penis!" :)

Yes, thanks for clarifying, haven't studied psychotropics in a LONG time, with the exception of those involving the elderly and convicts....LOL

NOT much need for any kind of angle as to how it affects sexuality with those groups....LOL

Before intercourse i like to make sure my partner is nice and satisfied..Its important her engine is all revved up and ready to go..Once i enter, i like to have her either cowgirl or missionary where i can either use my finger or vibrator to massage her clit while i`m inside.. That always seems to work the best and i enjoy watching my lover continue to get off until she`s completly drained with passion..

I agree with this post, intense clitoral stimulation from my partner does it for me at the same time as having my breasts sucked and tongue-flicked and the inside of my hips nipped. Sometimes we just use a butt-plug which he twists and pulls down inside me when he's deeply penetrating me vaginally that just leaves me spinning...

Then again I've only been with 2 men in 13 years: one for five years, and one a few times, a recent situation. The first one, my ex, was horrible. I'd try to get a beer before he started so it would hurt less. The second one, he was good, amazing. He kept talking about orgasm - did you come? No, I didn't, and don't make it about you baby, it's my thing, I wanted to say. The important thing was that everything felt amazing, he was gentle! I am grateful for the different experience.
