Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

thank you Lexti, I learned something new. Like Walts said, I'm used to the old ways. all this time, I thought those new appletinis and whatnot were coming from the mind of the guy behind the wood with the dishtowel over his shoulder :) lol

"I work in an establishment with 8 restaurants and 6 bars. We have around 100 bartenders, yet only ONE mixologist, and it IS her job title. She creates new drink recipes, improves old ones, trains the bartenders, and also helps supervise the bars, manage inventory, scheduling etc. She also makes a higher hourly wage. She only steps in to help bartend on busy nights. Our bartenders do nothing more than clock in and make drinks all night"

>>>I can understand casinos/resorts doing this to keep the drink prices low, but the cynic in me wants to point out--in a tongue in cheek manner--that it sounds like the way corporate America operates :)

1)hire people who won't really know the job to directly handle the customer--and pay appropriately for that level of knowledge.

2)get a middle manager who doesn't/rarely deals with the customer, to decide what the customer wants.

3)years down the road, assign blame for why the Japanese have taken over market share :) lol

hey, as long as the customer using that particular servive is happy, that's what counts.

First date is more of a pass/fail, A fail and you know the two of you are not for each other. Its just too abvious that it won't work out. If its a pass then you go on the second date to learn more about the other person. Unless the other person really turns me off I would agree for a second date. The reasoning for that is we might be somewhat shy around a new person. Or feel lost for words trying to put our best out. On a second date it should be more relaxed which would help the date go easier. Who knows you might be impressed with your date the second time around.

One meeting is enough to know if you want the next meeting.
