Any advice? Erectile Dysfunction.Page 3 of 3    (1, 2, 3)
You are young for this but make sure you have no prostate issues. My ex occasionally had issues staying hard. Turns out at 53 he had pretty advanced prostate cancer. He had no other symptoms other than a high rising but still normal hormone level.

As other's said go to an endocrinologist & a new urologists. Someone will help you. I would not use a****ring unless a Dr tells you to. You could damage tissues and at this age you don't want to do that. Find the right Dr.

ED is not psychological, thinking it is will drive you crazy not to mention put a big dent in self-esteem and confidence. Work on lowering cholesterol, fats, blood pressure and get more exercise. A low fat vegan diet is optimal. And, it does make a huge difference. Stay away from all oils. Avoid zinc supplements. Until you try it, you'll be chasing wild geese.

Hi Charlie, what I am about to state here will help you, go to a walmart and in the vitamin section they have a item called L-Arginine it's 500 mg and it cost $3.95 a bottle of 50 capsules, you will need to start with one a day for about two weeks and then start taking two a day. This is for blood flow and that is what us guys need to make things work good in the penis. I am 69 years old and no one likes sex better than me, however, being my age and being a dibetic 2 does not help, however, I have been taking this item for about a year and I started with 1 capsule and I took that 1 for a very long time and it did not seem to help that much and I started taking 2 a day and man I started getting hards like crazy and i said I have to find me a girl and I did but she did not like sex, so I am trying find one that enjoys sex, yes I am still looking. When you get this age it's hard to find a women that enjoy's love making and this is another story, anyway try this and see if does not help you, I know it has helped me, I wish you all the best. Sorry, I have to disagree with you, you look to be a young man from your photo and you might not have a problem and I hope you never do. However, it is just not in your head, I never had a problem, when I was your age I could have screwed a women through a brick wall with no problem now I am lucky to screw one through cardboard.

Hi Charlie.
I was like you, but I tried the trimix and it worked for about 2 years, but then it became overly painful to have intercourse even while erect. I ended up going to see a urological surgeon who performed tests and learned the valves that close and retain blood in the penis to maintain an erection were damaged by years of high blood pressure and type 1 diabetes. I made a drastic choice. I chose to have a penile implant. Same day surgery was necessary but I was home later that day. It took 3 months to recover from surgery but now 2 years later I have no problems attaining an erection. My penis size remained the same. Now I just have to squeeze a pump.located in my scrotum and my penis becomes engorged with saline solution that is stored in my abdomen. The resulting ere tion is harder than marble and it stays hard regardless of how often I orgasm. When I'm finished I squeeze a release valve and my penis deflates to it flaccid state.
There are several different types of implants but I chose the Titan by Coloplast, primarily because of the strength of the material it is made of. Here is the device.

Here is a paper written by the Doctor who performed my surgery.

Hope this helps some.

Keep after those Docters! They might be specialists but they do not know exactlyhow you feel. The thing that worries me is that you can not masturbate with much results so it's a medical issue. Your way to young to be going through this so definitely medical or some sot of trauma in your life. I would have told you to go online to order Viagra or something similar cause that always works without a script but I seriously think it is something more deep seeded. Best of luck to you.

Ignore all the ridiculous statements about ED being psychological. That is exceedingly rare.

Nutrition doesn't pay much of a role, either. Many Ethiopians are starving and have very poor nutrition, yet they have no problem reproducing, which would lead most people to the conclusion that nutrition really does not have much to do with it.
High cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes are the primary causes of ED.

See a good urologist, and a neurologist.

I have 'very good' blood pressure and heart sounds good. My cholesterol was at the higher end of normal but I was told this was ok, I was told men need alot if fat in their bodies to produce testosterone?
I did try a very healthy low fat diet for about a month, after how long would you expect to see better blood flow if this was a problem?

Ok, first off Charlie, $hit can the low fat stupidity. It's false data and if you are trying to loose weight will actually keep a person fat or fatter.

Serum Cholesterol is way more important IF you are not making enough "T". Sounds like you are. At least your doctor has said so.

Erectile Dysfunction, in over 90% of the cases is an early symptom of diabetes. Get a diabetes check. As you are only 25 it remains to be seen. Type I would suck.
Insulin by far can have a much more profound effect on free testosterone that you can actually use than anything else in your endocrine system.

It is easy to say...."it's in your head". That doesn't solve anything. Therapy has a HIDEOUS success rate. Like down in the single digits.

Have you EVER had a time when this condition did not exist?

Charlie, you know where this is heading right? You are too young for this to be a problem and it doesn't have to be. A simple surgery could make this problem go away. Not optimal, surgery is the last resort, but it's definitely fool-proof. No waiting or wondering if it will work.

How would a****ring cause damage?

Essentially, it collapses the blood vessels in the penis so that once erect, no blood can go in or out. Without oxygenation via new blood, cells and tissue die. People used to tie a tight rubber band around puppies tails to dock them; the end of the tail would die and fall off .... nuff said.
