I love dating older men but ...Page 2 of 5    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
Huh, guess I got it wrong..

When the OP said older men 30+, I really thought she meant men 30+ years older than her. Like 55+.

I could see a 60 old maybe thinking she was too young.

Well as one who is obviously regarded as first cousin to father time on the dating side, I can unequivocally say this is an anomoly seldom encountered by those who reportedly shared the earth with prehistoric creatures. :)

Ya know baby...studies have shown that older folks sleep less.

I can vouch for the studies.

^ Ah. But other studies show that they just think they sleep less. Cause they nap. Now, you boys eat up your jello, and someone will be along to change you shortly ;)

Nap!?! Surely you jest!

You want to ensure that the package you weren't expecting till next week gets there early....lay down to take a nap.

Haven't had a visitor stop by in weeks...months...hell even years...lay down to take a nap.

You want the dog decide he's going to warn you of every possible impending threat just outside your window...lay down to take a nap....and he's not even your dog to top it off!

Nap indeed.....;)

Some older men don't like dating young girls because it's hard to see someone who hadn't even been born yet the first time he had sex as anything but a child, there is a difference in outlook and experience and not to put too fine a point on it, it can feel icky.

A lot of men in their 30s are willing to a date a woman that is about 5-10 years younger than them. Perhaps they weren't interested because of some other reason and used age as a "white lie".

So why don't older men like young girls for a relationship?
------------------
I dunno. I prefer dating younger women, so that just seems weird to me.

I suppose we all have our icky moments.

For me, thinking about having to pay for late high school and college just seems like too much of a stretch.

Then if she gets all social in college, am I expected to go kegging with her friends? Do a little rock climbing, spring break in Tampa? Or is she really going to want to play Canasta and hand and foot with my friends?

I get enough twisting just trying to cut my toenails. I am afraid I might as well forfeiture any game of twister to anyone under 30.

It's a card game a little like Canasta

I remember when "do you want to take a nap" meant something
else entirely.

I don't actually take naps now, but I'd probably be interested if
the right person asked.

Unless you're talking about nap naps...then I dunno.

Yes older folk do seem to sleep less and it seems some "older folk" making sweeping statements about all women of a certain age being vain and not having your resources, Clooneys...... really?????

I wonder how many messages you would get per week, if you took down the pic of the Corvette?? Just curious.....

Here is a chart of sleep duration recommendations by age.

http://sleepfoundation.org/sites/default/files/STREPchanges_1.png

As you can see, it does fall a bit with older age, but not as much as you might think.

Older people tend to nap more, mostly because they no longer work a 9-5 job.

When at about 43 my testosterone started to fall, I would easily take a nap at noon. That lasted a year or so. But for whatever reason, I don't often nap now and it throws me off sleeping at night if I do.

Where are you from? Ah, New South Wales. If you were here in the USA, you wouldn’t ask that question. Back in the 60’s and 70’s, a Corvette was a bit of a status symbol. That time has long since passed. I could pick up a nice used Corvette for around 10 to 15k. Cheap, really.

And, no, Clooney, I am not knocking your Corvette. I’m sure you’re very proud of it. But it is not a status symbol any more, and hasn’t been for several decades.

Now if he had a 67 GTO, fully restored, that would be a status symbol. But most women would not know it, just the other men. If you want to impress women, you need a BMW these days.

About the vette....

It's a convertible and an automatic.

I'm obviously not a 'gear head'. I'm more concerned about enjoying the sun and getting home fast after work.

I suspect the MBA gets me more messages then the vette, but regardless, I get messages. Why would I take down a message generator??

Isn't that the point??

For what its worth? I get about 5-10 messages a week.

At least 2 are usually attractive.

As much as I love spending time with the wimmins, I need to make time for work too. Hell, them dinners on the coast ain't cheap! :)
