Notice: Forums will be shutdown by June 2019

To focus on better serving our members, we've decided to shut down the POF forums.

While regular posting is now disabled, you can continue to view all threads until the end of June 2019. Event Hosts can still create and promote events while we work on a new and improved event creation service for you.

Thank you!

What if you enjoy doing something with an ex-partner but don't seem to like doing the same thing with a new-partner. Why does that happen?

My brother is super hot at 50 (and looks 35), and his wife of 25 years is gosh awful ugly and they don't really have anything in common except for love for their children. Maybe stuff in common isn't that important.

This issue sometimes cracks me up. I look for commonalities in hobbies and interests. Some guys list so many sports you think, well, when do you have time to date. I dated a complete sports nut once and only once because that is exactly the case. He was so busy playing youngster that he had no time to breathe let alone find time to date. I think some just write them and don't actually ever do their interest. Something they would like to do. So, that being said, I stopped writing so many and put the ones that I really like and actually do. Keep it real people, keep it real. My advice to someone that is attracted to someone with multiple interests ask if they have time to date.
