I am not even going to dignify the "conspiracy" of disarming all of America through gun control and regulation with any other comment than:

What a maroon

B. Bunny

Let see what Sen. Feinstein had to say about the matter, when see appeared on 60 Minutes.........

And... as usual... whenever their bullsh!t gets shot down... in flames... they just double down on the lies and misrepresentation... Just like the fellow quoted did... after having his points shot down... once again...

How many times is that now...?

So lets just look at what the comment was really about... it was about... wait for it... the Assault Weapon bill... NOT about handguns... NOT about shotguns... NOT about purpose-designed hunting rifles... JUST the assault weapons... which CAN be constitutionally restricted... as the passage of the assault weapons bill demonstrates...

But you wouldn't know that from Blue-Eyes little attempt to lie to everyone here... If one were to go by the "anti-gun control" types here... one would have to assume that all "anti-gun control" types are either deliberate liars... or complete morons for buying into the lies...

Now... the big question is... which lie and/or misrepresentation will he try to foist off this time... as he attempts to double down on his double down...

" this year will go down in history. for the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future."

.........adolf hitler, 1935

He also introduced one of the world's first systems of universal health care, and owned dogs. Guess that makes Obama a Commie Pinko Fag AND a fascist, too?

He was also virulently anti-communist (Republican Ideal).
Long before he was persecuting racial minorities, he was jailing leftests of all sorts for being .... ahem ... unpatriotic. Republican Dream)
Oh, yes - he also banned trade unions (Republican dream).
Strikes for higher wages were banned (Republican dream).

Socially:
Strongly against pre-marital sex, porn, prostitution and all types of sexual vice. (Republican dream).
Rabidly homophobic. ('nuff said)
Anti-intellectual. ("I'm not a scientist, but ....")
The embracing of a glorious past as the key to an equally glorious future. (Glorious fetishized world the founding fathers lived in, now being destroyed by the African-born Muslim in the White House and the liberal elites)

So maybe Hitler was nothing more than a good, old-fashioned Republican, a little ahead of his time.

See how easy it is to pull random factoids from your butt if you want to demonize something? I've no doubt I could come up with a few more if I actually did some research instead of just going by what I remember from the top of my head.

History, life and politics are very, very seldom black and white, no matter how much you stick your fingers in your ears and yell "NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-I-CAN'T-HEAR-YOUUUUU!"

If the people here spent a wee bit more time talking TO each other, instead of talking AT each other, who knows - people might actually learn something. And American politics wouldn't be the untreated cesspool it is today.

.........adolf hitler, 1935

Yet another example of "anti-gun control" logic...

How is it an example of that...? Well... there is no truth in it... A false claim is never logically true... no matter how formally stated... because logically... a true conclusion can not be derived from a false premise...

Let me explain that for the "anti-gun control" logic crowd... a=b and b=c therefore a=c is a logical statement... BUT ONLY IF a ACTUALLY DOES EQUAL b... if the claimed equivalency (a=b) is false then the conclusion (a=c) is also false...

Fake Quote Files: Adolf Hitler on Gun Registration, Conquest and Disarmament

Have a cause you really hate? Want to discredit it? Well, fortunately for you, there’s History’s Worst Dictators™. Whether it’s banking, corporations, evolution, abortion, gun control, gun rights, atheism, or vegetarianism, these villains can be dredged up whenever you need cast the specter of mass murder on your opponents’ intentions. Just make up a quote, make up a date, attach one of their names to it, and post it anywhere online. Your particular community’s echo chamber of self-confirmation, self-reinforcement, and self-congratulation will take it from there.
....
Gun Registration

This year will go down in history. For the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!

— Adolf Hitler, 1935

This quote actually has quite a history, appearing over 100 times, in various forms, in different print sources. Its message is not subtle: gun registration leads to gun confiscation which leads to Auschwitz. And in case you weren’t clear about the connection between Nazis and contemporary gun control advocates, the last sentence spells it out: people in “the future” (i.e., the present) who advocate registration are literally “following Hitler’s lead.” That sound you hear is civilization being throttled by the hands of limousine liberal legislators.

Only two problems: one, there’s not a shred of historical evidence that Hitler ever said this, and two, it wouldn’t have made any sense even if he had.

http://blog.skepticallibertarian.com/2013/03/19/fake-quote-files-adolf-hitler-on-gun-registration-conquest-and-disarmament/

As all of this shows... The "anti-gun control" crowd has no interest in truth... or logic... or intelligent understanding... They are like the two-year old screaming for his pacifier... It doesn't make sense because... to them... it doesn't have to make sense... they just want their pacifier...

It really is amazing... how supposedly grown adults... comport themselves like children claiming Santa is real... whenever gun control comes up...

^^^ And even if it were a true quote, it would still be susceptible to the fallacy pointed out by Gorshkov previously. That makes it a Double Fail.

It is amusing how liberal gungrabbers have now convinced themselves they are far smarter than our Founding Fathers George Washington, Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, James Madison, John Jay, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, and others. LOL. Priceless!

Refresher reference:

U.S. Constitution - Amendment II:
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

So you think someone from early 1700's would be smarter that someone born in the mid to late 1900's?

1. The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. Pp. 2–53.
(a) The Amendment’s prefatory clause announces a purpose, but does not limit or expand the scope of the second part, the operative clause. The operative clause’s text and history demonstrate that it connotes an individual right to keep and bear arms. Pp. 2–22.

^^^ That says it all right there. This is the law of the land, despite what agendists who swallow blog spew says otherwise.

There have been more than a handful of challenges brought upon the Supreme Court since the early 1800s and all have been decided as the 2nd Amendment being an INDIVIDUAL , or citizens right versus a COLLECTIVE, or states right.

Concerning a "well regulated militia", the militia clause is just that - a COLLECTIVE, or state militia being ultimately formed(IF EVER NEEDED) from these ever-perpetually armed PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS/citizens, armed with their PRIVATELY-OWNED FIREARMS .

UNLESS NEEDED, no militia needs to be formed, and private INDIVIDUALS/ citizens maintain the perpetual INDIVIDUAL right, and that right is " the right of the people to keep and bear arms, which shall not be infringed."

THAT is how the SCOTUS interpreted an amendment to the Constitution that was written over 200 years ago. The NRA didnt exist when it was written, & the wording hasnt changed in more than 2 centuries. How hard is that to understand?

It does say that... but that hardly "says it all"... You seem to be conveniently forgetting that the SAME ruling... also confirms the constitutionality of regulating firearms...

Specifically... it says...

Like most rights, the Second Amendment right is not unlimited. It is not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose

and follows it with a list of examples... of the court upholding restrictions and regulations...

In short... it says the regulation of firearms IS constitutional...

This is the law of the land, despite what agendists who swallow blog spew says otherwise

Yes... it is the law of the land... that the regulation of firearms is constitutional... despite all that "anti-gun control" blog spew that has been shown to be false so far...

Just like you helped me to show... again... thank you...

" the right of the people to keep and bear arms, which shall not be infringed."

THAT is how the SCOTUS interpreted an amendment to the Constitution that was written over 200 years ago.

Again... that is right... SCOTUS has interpreted gun control measures to be constitutional many times... Even as they did... and demonstrated... in the case you so kindly reminded us about...

Again... thanks for helping to show that is constitutional to institute gun control measures...

In Canada I believe they can use domestic incidents to deny gun ownership.
I would think creeping regulations are foremost in the minds of gun owners. One could think of many ways to deny ownership.

the best forum statement of 2015:

Let see what Sen. Feinstein had to say about the matter, when see appeared on 60 Minutes.........

"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an out right ban, picking up every one of them....Mr. and Mrs. America, turn them all in. I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren't here."

this is the Demoncratic mantra. they believe that.

every once in a while the veil, the mask, the façade is momentarily swept away or lifted and we get a quick peek at the TRUE face of the Liberal agenda which is ANTI-AMERICAN.

VIOLENCE ARCHIVE 2015 TOLL OF GUN VIOLENCE
Total Number of Incidents: 4,282
Number of Deaths1: 1,268
Number of Injuries1: 2,074
Number of Children (age 0-11) Killed/Injured1: 51
Number of Teens (age 12-17) Killed/Injured1: 193
Mass Shooting2: 24
Officer Involved Shooting2: 402

In five days another 113 people blown away by the 2nd Amendment When are you **** heads going to do something about this senseless violence?

You do realise that the rest of the world views you as gun toting nut cases.

I'm pretty sure the case Crook Catcher referred to was in Georgia. They have really sensible gun laws in that part of the Wild West. You don't need a permit to purchase a handgun, however you need a permit to carry one.Which means you can just go down to your local pawn shop, walk home and blow your family away.

Umm, der!

But of course we have the "right to bear arms"

As you are aware, 18 U.S.C. 922(a)(6) makes the attempted purchase of a firearm by an individual who knowingly provides false information on a firearm transfer application (ATF Form 4473) a federal felony offense. In simple terms, it is a federal felony, punishable for up to ten years in prison, for felons, fugitives, domestic abusers or any other category of prohibited person to attempt to purchase a firearm if they knowingly falsify the purchase application.

Of the 204,000 attempted purchases stopped by NICS in 1999, the BJS report states that 71 percent of the rejections were for a felony conviction or indictment, 12 percent were for a disqualifying domestic violence conviction and three percent were rejected because the applicant was a fugitive from justice. Thus, 86 percent (approximately 175,440 persons) of those rejected by the instant check system had de facto committed another felony by falsifying ATF Form 4473. However, federal firearm prosecutions in aggregate totaled only 6,728. Although the report indicated the statistics for 1999 are preliminary data, that is a prosecution rate of only 3.29 percent. To put it another way, for every thirty rejected applications for a firearm transfer, there was only one prosecution.

If we are to concern ourselves with 1998, the latest year for which we have final data, the record is demonstrably worse. Of the rejected applications, totaling 90,000 in 1998, a mere 102 cases were federally prosecuted. That equates to a prosecution rate of less than one percent. Thus in 1998, for every 882 rejected applications for a firearm transfer there was only one federal prosecution. And while some have made the case that these cases are difficult to prosecute, I would note the statement of former federal prosecutor Andrew McBride of the Richmond office, now in private practice, that such cases are as easy to prosecute as "picking change up off the street."

That is the most recent I have found, so far. I recall seeing numbers for 2008 maybe 10, and they were just as appalling.
We already have enough restrictive laws on the books. Laws that are not being enforced. And it's not just laws pertaining to criminals. States are required, by law, to report to the FBI those who have been adjudicated mentally unfit, yet they are not being reported.

Please explain to me WHY we need more restrictive laws on the books, when the ones we already have are not being effectively enforced? WHY, should I as a law abiding citizen bow down to even more restrictions?

oh, and btw: I do have a firearm in my possession that I, personally, have used to take another's life.
I have no qualms at all telling you. If faced with the same situation, you WILL want to be as equally well equipped as I was that day.

there are also those in congress who don't want Obama doesn't Care because they have their own congressional insurance for free. if they had to take Obama doesn't Care they'd rather pay for their own insurance out of their own pocket because they are all rich and wealthy. a simple perview of the prior posting page will show that "DiFi"'s commenting about taking "all" was taken out of context, she was merely referring to taking "all" of one type of weapon that has no hunting purpose (even GI's are getting sick of the 62 grain 5.56mm performance).

As for the laws already on the books, StarClassic has a point--there's a lot already there, and they DON'T get enforced as much as they should. thank the NRA for influencing legislators for holding up nomination for head of BATF, cutting finanacing. making sure there aren't enough employees, and other things to generally "take the teeth" out of the laws already on the books.

One day, someone should change the word "guns" with "drugs" on the Republican teleprompter. Bet you'd see a change in fervor then. :)
