examples are shown to them where the Constitution is being walked on

I fail to see an example here???

It doesn't forbid, nor does it forbid straight marriage. It doesn't forbid bank robbing or murder either.
It is up to the states to rule on these things, not the federal government... As it should be.
If folks want to change the marriage law they need to take it up with the state, I don't have any problems with it.

Exactly where was it "walked on" in your example? :/

Then congratulations on your fail.

FYI: Laws have already been changed, it is the state judges that are ignoring the ruling of the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

But hey it does not affect you and really just a stupid piece of paper anyway so meh put that constitution into the pile of things you do not care about.

Another truly wonderful aspect of the United States of America is that trustifarians who reside in lily-white enclaves elsewhere in the world, for example, and who dislike our diversity and freedoms, can remain there without having to visit. Easy-peasy.

Refresher reference:

U.S. Constitution - Amendment II:
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

Its still just funny as all hell that Republicans think that working hard to be wealthy enough to live in a safe neighborhood, thus taking responsibility for your own safety....is a bad thing, worthy of pointing a finger and laughing at it. you'd think they'd applaud people who think smart and work hard.

"As Americans, we really don't have any room to talk about others trying to impose their will on other countries."

>>>oh gosh. That's almost, like, proclaiming that self-proclaimed Christians can do bad things, too.

This month's copy of Home Defender magazine, likely still on the shelves, even tells you, the first step in defense is a prior, well-thought plan of defense, before offense. Its bad-ass to say, "the best defense is a good offense", but as your first grade teacher taught you, the best way to stay out of trouble is to...stay out of trouble. Or maybe she said, "you find trouble when you go looking for it"

[FYI...]

When? The case will be taken up in April and not decided until around late June..

Everything is based around the 14th Amendment (equal protection of the laws).
Given the circumstances surrounding it, ALL unmarried people are being denied equal protection as laws (mainly tax laws) differ for married and unmarried people... something to think about. O_o

Due process is being carried out. The Constitution does not address marriage of any kind.
I still fail to see where it's being "walked on", please do enlighten me. If it is should single people follow suit and demand their equal protection as well?

If you were attempting to bait me it isn't going to happen, if folks want to get married then by all means go for it.

Well if you're reading Home Defender at home and some idiot doesnt realize you're home, are you looking for trouble when you point your weapon at him as he comes through the window?
Typically Americans are dealing with one tyrant or another.Should be featured on Mike Rowe's show.

You realize you can get fogged out easier these days smoking wicked weed right? Because that post is a humdinger.

American citizens who have inherited millions (and plentiful frequent flyer miles...as we are often reminded) are also welcomed to invest in those wonderfully safe neighborhoods...not just those who earned the money themselves. The other interesting concept is perhaps those neighborhoods of people who worked (or inherited...we don't wish to exclude anyone!) have a strong sense of community and people accept responsibility to protect themselves.

One of the things that makes me chuckle (hee-hee!) is when gungrabbers trot that ancient canard that a firearm in the home makes a residence more dangerous. LOL. So how does that shopworn silliness apply to a person, living alone, no children, who only has adult visitors...precisely as CalGuy14 correctly alluded?

"With few exceptions Northern ["Blue"] cities have lower gun crime and death rates than almost every southern ["Red"] city for one simple reason, far more restrictive access to firearms, PERIOD. "
New Orleans is the highest for gun death, followed by Detroit, then Las Vegas, Miami, Baltimore, St. Louis, Richmond, Memphis, Cleveland, and Philadelphia .
I think there's a lot more to this then just the number of guns, but these are the facts. Gun deaths include suicides, don't know if you consider that to be a crime or not.

have you kept tally of the millions blown away by governments & their militaries around the world with their self-declared right to drop bombs where/when desired?

or when killed by a government, it doesn't count, I suppose..you are "less dead"

oh, I so hope I get to be killed by a government & not a private citizen

Two Wrongs Don't Make A Right, right.

Gee the well regulated Militia in the Wild West only managed to blow away 22 people in the last 2 days.

What did the well organised Militia have a St.Valentines day truce or something?

Nawww... isn't that sweet. All of those evil felons out there must be living, breathing humans after all.

You see? There's no need to take your guns or rights away. Just give kids a better start in life and in a couple of decades you won't need a gun to feel safe.

Don't know what you mean by better cheques. Is it to do with guns?

I mean having fewer trinkets and a smaller house, but more time with attentive and affectionate parents. Kids need a little less status anxiety and a little more love.

What do you mean by a better start?

A 'better start' would begin with that silly thing called Proper Parenting. Instilling things like Values, Integrity and Morals into a child as they are raised from diaper into adulthood. Far to many so called parents pop out kids and expect them to learn much needed life skills from tv, video games and their peers while they, the so called adults, indulge themselves in their own selfish wants, desires and addictions.

What a silly question... no... actually... it is a ludicrously stupid question... Hint: the same way as any other home with a gun...

Do you think that having no children to play with matches... will make the single persons home safe from an accidental fire...?

Guns don't kill people. People kill people.

And... people with no valid argument... spout bumper-sticker homilies...

Matches are inanimate objects that hurt nobody without a human striking them.
Matches don't cause accidental fires. People playing with matches cause accidental fires.

Of course there is a valid argument you just disagree...Constitutional rights should be protected..much in the way you guys freak out whenever people want to enact voter id laws (the right to vote another constitutional right) and what not, gun rights people react to increased regulations, you all act as if there is no existing regulation..

Do you think that having no children to play with matches... will make the single persons home safe from an accidental fire...?
of course it will make it a little safer from accidental fire than those living with children in houses with matches or lighters for that matter, why wouldn't it?

Four year old shoots father from backseat of moving car
Updated: Mon 6:57 AM, Feb 16, 2015

...According to court documents, Paulson kept a loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun in his coveralls in the backseat of his vehicle with his four year old son. The child got a hold of the gun and fired the weapon, striking his father in the upper arm.

And... in the same vein as before... people with no valid argument... completely avoid the point... with inanities...

Of course there is a valid argument you just disagree...

Bumper-sticker homilies are not valid arguments... they are emotional appeals... for the unthinking... and... the stupid...

You've done nothing to dispel that... and everything to prove the second point above...

of course it will make it a little safer from accidental fire than those living with children in houses with matches or lighters for that matter, why wouldn't it?

So you agree... that it is still a danger... even though there are no children and only adults... who supposedly "know better"...

Why do you bother to respond... only to prove the points you hope to dispute...? You do this so often... you are one of the left's strongest supporters...

_MungoJoe_...your smoking habit harms you and certainly harms innocent people all around the world.
It doesn't matter when or where you do it...it ALWAYS damages the environment and puts carcinogens into the air.
At the same time, nobody will halt you from your addictive and unpleasant habit in your own home or vehicle.

Meanwhile, a firearm is just inanimate steel, aluminum, and plastic that harm nobody sitting in safe.
Some are owned by collectors and reside unfired for their entire existence. Essentially like a museum piece.
There are countless regulations already in place. That is why you don't hear about the 318,935,192 firearms that did not hurt anyone in the United States of America on a daily basis.

Guns don't even make it into the top 10. If anybody REALLY cared about saving lives the first thing they would do is ban bacon and cigarettes.

Gingerosity and Star Classic above ^^^^^^^^ You both have excellent posts. Lots of children are growing up with not so good parenting which in turn we see the child grow up with not very good examples of what is right. The result is what we see happening for the most part. Ferguson is a great example and irresponsible adults are another example. Almost all of the time, if your upbringing is good, with good morals being taught, you won't see what is going on now. Too many libs in here are missing that and want more rules to coddle people when they really should understand where it all starts......at home.
