AJ7125...each time I see the typical profanity-laced posts made by our resident Liberals...it makes me howl with laughter. They won't share a discussion, so they go straight to the cursing and ad hominem attacks. How predictable.

Donald Trump has brought lots of topics (especially illegal immigration) to the table for review and discussion.
He is correct that it is something that was being swept beneath the rug until he brought it to the forefront.

NPR had a nice blurb this morning about how Trump may have thought he'd get handled with kid gloves, after all the times Faux has had him on to tell America what he thought. Interesting that Ailes thought he had to call up Trump and mend fences--maybe to avoid Trumpchumps from running away with the advertising dollar. but of course, that's the point about Trump--he's not saying anything the Republicans don't believe. just perhaps, a few of those Trumpchumps swearing off Kelly are bitterly divorced, never-a-vet men who have poor performace reviews at work who...have an excuse for why none of it is their fault--its the immigrants, its the feminists,it's somebody else this week.

in other words, they might be the "loser" their hero talks so much about. the problem isn't Trump, its the number of heads bobbing behind him in agreement.

as for Eric's point about immigration being uncovered, i'll have to disagree in a way. Its always been an issue...until it became time to consider the Latino vote. Trump didn't bring it back to the table, so much as he refused to whisper it quietly....or call it by the name most recognize, "voter registration". and not just in Texas, most states can't prove the Democrats are trying to get "them" in the voter booth, but the suggestion is still the "red meat" thrown out to the faithful who think a dishwasher who don't speaka da English has more to do with tanking the economy than Wall St.

except when the Latino vote is needed, then the PUAs of politics start trying a sweet-nothings campaign--they'll act sweet, and say nothing about the issue.

“Leaders squabble all the time and don't push buttons.”

That is true – but none of the current leaders are Donald Trump. Look, YOU are the one who said “If someone pushes the button because he is called a little fat pig, which one has the problem?” as if someone can “push the button” in a vacuum out of anger and lack of self-control and not affect millions, nay, billions of people. I assume you’re referring to Kim pushing the button and not Trump, whereas 07songsungblue was referring to Trump pushing the button, but the thing is, it doesn’t matter who figuratively “pushed the buttons” leading to someone literally “pushing the button” – either way, everybody suffers. We can’t control what Kim says or does, but we (the American people) can control the temperament of Kim’s supposed antagonist. And having someone in the office who has enough restraint to not call Kim “a fat little pig” would go a long way toward NO ONE pushing a button.

"as for Eric's point about immigration being uncovered, i'll have to disagree in a way. Its always been an issue..."

Some 2 years before Trump went on a rant about illegal Mexican rapists, didn't Congress and the media (lamestream and otherwise) spend several months debating the merits of Rubio's immigration reform legislation (which eventually passed the Senate but House leaders refused to bring it to a vote out of fear it would pass there with Democratic and moderate Republican votes), which led to Rep. Steve King saying something about illegal immigrants with "calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert"? I mean, did all conservatives and Republicans claiming Trump was the first to say these kinds of things really forget all about King? I think America is suffering from some serious short term memory issues.

Look at Eric! Getting all controversially political instead of flirting with the forum gals and delivering backhanded compliments to males he not-so-secretly despises! Welcome to the muck, my friend!

But, seriously, are you going to object to “profanity-laced posts” from "liberals" while defending and supporting a man with a long public history of calling women degrading names?

its easier to pick on the disenfranchised--the only way they can fight back is to riot in their own neighborhoods. the rich and powerful can hit back harder. that's why "voter registration" works so well as code. Even those who truly believe it to be a problem, in their heart of hearts they just know that money in politics does far more damage. Oh, they might think "George Soros" rather than "Koch brothers", but they know who's really corrupting the process.

But what party is going to stop targeting the immigrants and start targeting the rich donors? its so much easier to deal with a few billionaires than it is to shill cross country, $20 a person. so let's be tough on the group that can't buy us out of office. heck, even Trump had something negative to say about those whoring for campaign donations. Let's complain about not speaking English--that's pretty clear "code"--rather than about how our friendly neighborhood bank screws us on a daily basis, then needs a taxpayer bailout and no one goes to prison for bankrupting an economy, to the point credit ratings actually get lowered by Moodys et al.

let's listen to the dude who invests in casinos tell us about how no one invests in American industry. or we can listen to the politicians taking money from the WalMart family about how American jobs are going overseas--and of course, guess who's fault that is. shall I go on, or do we all know this already?

oh wait, we need the rich to fund us, and the Latinos to vote for us. Let's cut the codewords for the moment, they're on to us. Let's see if we can try social issues the Catholics are hot about--those Latinos are Catholic, right?

the crazy part about this thread is....its not even sarcastic. its what's going on, and we all admit it to ourselves. but its too depressing to admit to it out loud. we have met the enemy, and its the people we wish to be someday.

I have never seen an interview / debate that the Fox National Republican Bullsh1t Network conducted that the questions weren't specially formulated to pull the answers from the candidates that they wanted to "entertain" us with.

Wasn't it Megyn Kelly who interviewed the Juggars ... with leading questions that allowed them to basically take no responsibility for turning their sexual molester son loose on his sisters?

That's how the questions went on that "entertaining" debate. None of us found out anything we didn't already know.

I personally don't consider her for a good debate moderator.

I think Candy Crowley could have done a good job ... but she would not have spoon-fed the questions to the participants like Kelly did ...

Of course he is... You didn't really expect less... after noticing the "backhandedness"... did you...?

"Passive-aggressive little b!tch" has always been his preferred "modus operandi" in political forums... always...

Well... that and "happy slapping"... but beyond that... no argument... ever...

Kelly and the others asked tough questions to all the candidates. Hopefully the Democrats will be asked tough questions to slick hilly and the others. The bar has been raised, now we will see if softball questions will be asked or tough questions will be asked of democratic candidates.

From the, Things come back to bite you in the azz, file:

With Donald Trump's Rise, Fox News Reaps What It Sows
The cable news network that trained its audience to see media criticism of Republican politicians as evidence of bias is attacked for its coverage of Trump.
Conor Friedersdorf
August 11, 2015

Fox News’ coverage of Donald Trump’s campaign has resembled the treatment that the real estate tycoon and reality TV star receives in “the mainstream media.” It is unlike the network’s coverage of unqualified populist favorites from past election cycles, like Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, and Herman Cain. And populists are taking notice.

AJ - Refresher

- I tend to stop at #1 but just to reiterate, here is the whole list (The first part was a general negative thought that seemed unnecessary. I would also say"extreme" liberal because you can actually have a conversation sans the below with some liberals):

"""""""How To Tell When A Liberal Concedes An Argument

....... . . . . There are a number of tactics liberals use, and the order will vary, but they are easy to recognize and my suggestion is, whenever the following tactics appear, you need to recognize them and know the liberals realize they have lost.

The Liberal Argument Outline
1. Use spun facts. These can be found on Huffington Post, Daily KOs, MSNBC, and many other liberal sources. What they do is take facts, polls or arguments and add a liberal spin in a weak attempt to make bad news for liberals look good. These are easily debunked and exposed as lies by going to the original source and posting the hard, cold facts with NO spin.
Note: At this point, you have won. It should never take more than one post to win an argument with a liberal. It is recommended that you claim victory and disengage at this point. If you continue, for fun or experimental purposes, no further logic will be forthcoming from the liberals.

2. The next step for the liberal will be to attempt to discredit your source. If it is Fox or any perceived “right wing” source, they will refuse to believe it. If it is a non-partisan source, they will claim it is right wing, if it is a left of center source, they will find another lefty source to “prove” you are wrong. They will not discuss the facts themselves, as they know they have lost. If you must go down this road (there is a high entertainment value), don’t allow this diversion. Go back to the facts.

3. The Limbaugh Defense: This is one that comes out early and often. Although you know they never listen to Rush Limbaugh and have no idea what he says, they will drag him out and claim you are a Ditto head. This is another diversionary tactic. It has no relevance and is an attempt to change the subject. The more desperate they are, the more childish and ridiculous the reference to Limbaugh becomes: Flush, LimpBag, etc. Ignore this and re-post the facts. DO NOT BE DIVERTED.

4. The Personal Attack: Another common thread. Also designed to divert the lost argument. NEVER give any hint of personal information. Even something as innocuous as “I am a chef”. They will attempt to engage you and call you a liar to divert attention from the original lost argument. Ignore this and re-post the facts yet to be refuted.

5. Name Calling: Still another diversion. If you fail to give them any personal information, they will attempt to draw you out to gain more insight into your personal side. Then they will return to step 4. Ignore this.

6. The Liberal Bat Signal: When they find out they are unable to engage you, divert you or goad you into a completely irrelevant topic, they will send out the Bat Signal. This is where a bunch of Liberals (or often, the same one using several names) post a number of rapid fire posts congratulating the Liberal on handing you your head on a platter. This tactic often works on even the most logical and disciplined of us. The urge to rant must be resisted. Your rant will supply them with all the personal insight they need to spew hatred and personal attacks. The best tactic here is to use the same tactic back at them."""""""

Eric: I like the "bat signal" part. Hilarious article.

Anyway. . .

Anyway, now it seems that people are upset that Trump is not spending more of his own money on this.

OPM.

That whole " I am a whiner" thing was pretty classic "agree and move on" tactic.

Until others directly, head on address these issues, he will remain where he is ( or he is goaded into something ridiculous.)

deetristate...that is the inconvenient thing for Liberal folk...Donald Trump makes about $400M annually.
He has lots of liquid assets to fund an impressive political campaign, not to mention patriots who will donate as he continues to build momentum. A fresh and bold Trump / Cruz ticket would be embraced by freedom-loving Americans.

While all citizens are in debt to Trump for his exposing a tolerance of an illegal invasion ; he still should be vetted. I have not heard him speak of deportation or enternment camps. Illegal means illegal. Felons need to be prosecuted. Habeus Corpus Rights DO NOT apply to non citizens. When you really get down to it , a "pathway to citizenship" translates to a pathway to geNOcide.

Eric , your below post wil be Trumps's acid test. What I really enjoy about this entire situation is both Trump and Sanders have libtards and cuckservatives in a frenzy ; hillaryus !!!! "Cuck lives shattered" !!!!

BialaPolska...you raise many thought-provoking ideas here.
Donald Trump will certainly need to stand up to additional research, vetting, and careful background review.
At least he does not sympathize with radicalized jihadist Muslims like our current POTUS.

As has been pointed out repeatedly already, Trump has not personally uncovered the reality of illegal immigration. Not only that, his corporation(s) has been party to employing undocumented labor. That, also, has been pointed out already.

On the other hand, "perception IS reality" when it comes to votes.

“Donald Trump will certainly need to stand up to additional research, vetting, and careful background review.”

Trump and Clinton need the least “vetting” of all candidates – because they have been major national public figures for more than two decades. Almost everything they have ever said and done is already “out there.” Trump’s supporters are just refusing to acknowledge his history, because if they did, they would realize the main thing they claim to love about him is not true: that he’s not a professional politician. Merely having not been elected to an office doesn’t disqualify you from exhibiting the behavior of a professional politician. The most hated aspect of most professional politicians is that they say anything to get elected. That is EXACTLY what Trump is doing, because nothing he’s saying now jibes with what he said 20 years ago, 10 years ago, 10 months ago, hell, last week. When someone calls him on his conflicting statements, he just deflects the question, often attacking the questioner for the question, leading to blood running out of her whatever.

Speaking of deflecting questions, when are you going to get back to me about the degrading comments Trump has made about women?

he still should be vetted

and vetted out he certainly will be; by the Dems that is!
Right now, they are heavily investigating his business/hiring practices,
they are looking into where he puts his money (like they did with Romny)
probing his networks, his connections, taxes, etc.

The Dems are doing their homework, and compiling their files
and if Trump is still relevant by this time next year
everything is gonna be made public.

What Fox tried to do
is nothing compare to what the Dems are preparing for.

If some pple here think the Dems are gonna be intimidated by Trump (like the rest of the GOP contenders), and give him a free ride; they got another thing coming.

BP, refuting your claim consitutes an "irrelevant" point?

O...k... again, perception is reality-- more accurately, an alternate reality...

"and vetted out he certainly will be; by the Dems that is!"

Just how much do you actually think the Democrats want to expose Trump at this point? After all, any Democrat with half a brain WANTS him to be the Republican nominee -- it's the Republican establishment that wants to tear him down right now. Sure, good "neutral" journalists will do their job with Trump, but I think most Democrats that stumble across something devastating to Trump are just going to sit on it until next summer!

I can't help but wonder-- this isn't the first time Trump has put his hat in the ring for POTUS. Why did he not get this sort of traction the last time? Are we, as a nation, getting more foolhardy by the decade? Clinton's prominence makes sense because she was a very close 2nd when she last ran.
