People are waking up to our corrupt system, political division, manipulation of the population, and a government that is bought. The writing is on the wall and explains the appeal of Trump. ~Buss

+1
Politicians like Jeb Bush for example act as though this is their first rodeo. Jeb could have influenced his Dad or brother to take action against illegals. Did Jeb do anything about the illegals flooding Florida? Hell no!! He loves them; why he stumbles around speaking Spanish. The only others running that get my respect are Christie and Ted Cruz.

He is not an apologist. He says what we --the middle class-- people think. He doesn't need media approval.

You know, Trump is a megalomaniac who says really crazy things. But even as a Canadian leftie (there is no way to describe that to Americans since all political discussion there starts at the far right and goes to the batshit crazy right), he's actually less crazy than any of the other candidates. He occasionally says stuff that makes sense. None of the others ever do that.

No he does not say what middle class people think, and who is this we? He says what he thinks will get him votes from enough people, by polarizing their indignation into a group who actually think that Trump knows anything about being middle class or has any intention of doing anything for the middle class. Trump was born rich, has always lived rich and will die rich, he isn't for or about the middle class. Where does this idea that he is come from?

Trump is a populist candidate saying whatever he perceives the masses of average GOP voters want to hear...sadly, it seems the average GOP voter wants to hear all sorts of xenophobic craype. Trump has long said America should provide healthcare for all and advocated a single payer system similar to Medicare for all...yet, to the GOP masses he says he'd repeal the Affordable Care Act.

The GOP masses have forgotten what is written on the Statue of Liberty:

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Trump has quickly become a sleazy politician saying exactly what his voter base wishes to hear, what he would actually do if elected President would show just how empty the words he is currently saying are.

Professora.

You are right And not just a certain middle class, either. Across the color spectrum.
But the media is great at goading and Trump may fall victim to that.

Trump does not say what I'm thinking...sheesh.
He's a racist, a bigot, a hypocrite and an ***hole.
He's not an astute businessman, he doesn't practice what he
preaches regarding immigrants and he pretty much thinks
women are good for one thing.

Goading him??? Are you kidding me?
When the camera is rolling, he couldn't shut his piehole if his
life depended on it.

It's embarrassing to me that I might know people that find this
guy intriguing, interesting or presidential material.

At least you're right about the color spectrum...he does just want to discriminate against Hispanics and Muslims:

“What if he had said we have a problem in this world, it’s called blacks?” Tapper wondered. “Would you have said something then?”

“No,” Trump replied. “I would have probably just — I listened to his question. I mean, who am I? I listened to his question, he made a question slash, probably, statement. And I listened to his question"

At least if trump gets elected, no one who votes for him will have the excuse that he didn't tell them what he was about, often and rudely.

I think with Trump on the ballot that it's a guaranteed democratic win for President and it doesn't matter much who the democrat is. Trump is an embarrassment to us around the world.

Do you seriously think like that? Oh dear.

She and her rich friends. Certainly not any "middle class" people I know.

What I recall about the exchange is that when the guy said that President Obama is a Muslim, Trump muttered a "yeah". Watch it again and you'll see Trump confirm what the guy says about the President.

It's the same mass stupidity that got current POtuS elected. With any luck he will implode. And a real conservative will win the office...... So we can get this country back from the inmates of the asylum!

All the current republican candidates are dying a death of a thousand cuts as they mutilate each other every day. Trump, Carson, Fiorina, Walker (gone), Perry (gone) all scratching and biting each other... The only thing that will happen leading up to the Republican National Primary party is the cuts will get deeper and nastier.

^^^and that's how your government (and most governments) tend to operate.

It would seem that the biggest problem is a two party system, no matter who wins in the end, that deliberately works at cross purposes, just for the sake of working at cross-purposes, rather than working together for the betterment of the country as a whole. It doesn't seem to matter if something good is brought forward by one party, the other will deliberately attempt to thwart it like it's some kind of game. It drives me nuts watching the same crap unfold with such predictability.

Chameleonf you are so right. That is why I said conservative not republican. Irish I know you are a diehard Democrat. You try to discredit all of the GOP candidates..... While y'all have a criminal that her biggest accomplishment is not being in prison...... Or a 70+ y/o socialist.......

Yeah having over 15 actually diverse candidates is the biggest problem the GOP has.

How many of those 15 are under indictment right now? I can think of two, but I may have missed some. Just because you made a reference to the made up criminal activities of Secretary Clinton.

It won't be long before she is charged. As soon as the current corrupt administration is vanquished from the people's house...... You will see the truth come out.

Our country is tired of the liberals and their lies! As evident by the last three election cycles. It has taken time but you and the other liberals are watching helplessly as we the people take back our country.

You mean to say that a new administration won't be corrupt?? That'll certainly be a first!
