The Literate Hiker can't be beat when it comes to putting together an irresistible profile. but it's her fresh as a daisy happy with life photos that seal the deal. Our Hiker Lady has the best all around profile on POF!

Thank you, Tom! Fresh as a daisy? Not in my hiking photos.

In my Ingalls Lake photo, my blue shirt was soaked with sweat from the steep hike, and sticking to my body. I pulled the wet shirt down, positioned my boots together on a rock, straightened up, squared my shoulders, and tried to look all shipshape and proper. Epic fail.

Wind was blowing strongly, filling my hat like a sail. I had to hold the hat brim tightly. My thick Irish hair was escaping from the barrette and sticking up oddly. Fresh as a daisy, indeed.

And in the tight dress (Sept. 2014), I just rode 12 miles on a bicycle. I pulled the dress over my head, brushed my hair, and ran outside for a photo before we lost the evening light. Luckily, strong wind blew my hair back glamorously. In the rest of the photos my hair was blowing sideways or straight up. Too funny!

so you're saying it's a good thing we can't smell the photos? ha ha

the fresh as a daisy description is something that you project and it comes from inside.

it's not something that most people can pull off.

you're a very special person Mz. Hiker. charm, charisma and sweat all rolled into one!

The "legend" is just a legend now.
His last two posts here were not that pleasant, disparaging " a lot of" women here as druggies and "jumpoffs", or the "WORST type of person".

the pof legend is gone! I miss him as I miss the Clit Hero!

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite
jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath bore me on his back a
thousand times, and now how abhorr'd in my imagination it is!
My gorge rises at it.

Tom, we all know that men sweat and women glow.

I adore you, Tom! Your new headline is funny, especially, "How's that for bait?"

I don't mean to be a pessimist here, but I can't imagine the two of you getting along in real life.

Mr. Pig!

Where is your inner romantic? I see two people from different Worlds who are helplessly drawn to one another!

When the power of love and the hand of fate are at play.....neither diverse political views nor lack of university degrees shall keep these two apart!

I breathlessly await Tom's formal invitation to show Ms. LH the setting sun from his new home! :)

Way too cute. I'm with Pig on this one. I see it more as a "King Kong and Fay Wray" match up.

Alright , but there was a secret meaning there, sheesh! ;)

Endless quibbling and obfuscation over this isn't going to change the FACTS. Attend a Fishmeet and ask the ladies who attend them if JUST having a good profile and pics is enough . [for men] Most of them will be the SAME ladies who have the "audacity" or Chutzpah to send emails. [TO MEN] THESE ladies are the real "Desperate over forty women". Silly bimbos. They are sooooooo desperate to meet men they will actually get get up offa their BEhinds, step away from their keyboards and RISK meeting a guy F2F and having an actual conversation. A method that HAS worked exceedingly well for multiple tens of millions over the years btw.

Of course I suppose it's possible some/most these ladies are sticklers for height? And they need to know right up front beyond any shadow of a doubt how tall a guy is. OR maybe they need to see a perfect set of choppers. And I suppose they could ask a guy right to his face, [a bit harder for either party to lie] about his car, job, income, dagrees and of course AGE. Standing F2F and liking what you see is not enough. N E E D to know what year they were born. Simply Imperative.

All of this^^^^^ does cut both ways of course...

I adore Tom because he sticks up for me in the forums, and writes lovely things about me. Also Tom is consistently upbeat and hilarious. What's not to like?

On July 27, 2015 Tom wrote:

"Kathleen, in my eyes you'd look beautiful in a burlap sack. Hell you'd make that sack look like a Halston original! You are my definition of a real lady!"

Isn't that sweet and hilarious? This made me laugh out loud. Thanks, Tom.

It is lovely! I think he is sweet on you. I hope you two are messaging outside of Pof.
I must say....you two satisfy the romantic yen of my soul. I'll say no more....but I will extend my hope. :)

Like Han Solo and Princess Leah?

My downhill ski helmet has bulky ear pads that make me look like Princess Leah. I look like a dork. My former boyfriend Dan, a professional ski instructor, made me get it.

Other people clomp in ski boots into the heated lodge, suavely unzipping their ski jackets. Me? I'm struggling with the frozen buckle on the chin strap, trying to remove that stupid helmet. So much for sophistication.

HOWEVER, if you're looking for a meaningful relationship I don't recommend this, it just makes you feel like a piece of meat in the end.

One shirtless photo along with other types of photos would be okay. It's not much different than a woman having a bikini photo of herself. I wouldn't think a woman is a slut because of that.

I had a review years ago and it didn't help at all. All of the suggestions were for me to change my basic personality, which is a little sarcastic. Sorry, at this stage of the game, what you see is what you get.

seki msg 69....

you look like Bruce Jenner after he was beaten by an ugly stick.

you are not worthy to clean the mud off of the Literate Hiker's shoes much less say something inane.

keep your jealous comments to yourself.

just stay in your mother's basement and shoot creamy stalactites on the ceiling while you watch male porn.

your bed sheets must be as crispy as saltine crackers from all that drippage!!! OMG

^^^^. Now Tom, that's rude.

And I can't imagine you, a staunch conservative, and LH, a staunch liberal, getting along for more than a quick lunch before the argument started unless you stuck to two topics...dancing and hiking.

well said Mr. Secretary Of Defense!
there are no Liberals or Conservatives on the dance floor getting their groove on.

Blue, while what you say is true The Hiker and I love each other on these pixels and for now that is all that matters.

but if I do irritate her too much she can always shut me up by kissing me.

while it's true that in Youngstown I worked for the Romney campaign and met with Romney, Ryan and Boehner, I am now in Clearwater just ten minutes from the Gulf Of Mexico and I just want to have fun. my days as a preaching conservative are over. I did my part for many years.

i'll let the younger Republicans take over. the people on the Off Topic section are now almost all Kardashian Society members beating a dead horse and it became monotonous listening to their rants.

I lived just an hour from Cleveland and I will watch the debate tomorrow night at Quicken Arena.

I just want to jet ski, hike, bike, fish and dance in the sun.
oh, and make a young lady VERY happy.

Worked for me. Had my profile reviewed then promptly hid it and quit the online dating nonsense. Excellent decision on my part :)
