The vast majority of profiles in my area have something mentioning religion in them. Men and women. When I had my profile "for dating" I have had variations of:
"I chose Non-Religious. For me personally that translates to atheist. If this is a problem for you that is fine and I invite you to click next. "
posted. I got a pretty good sized amount of hate mail because of it. Keep in mind this was just three sentences in a fairly good-sized profile.
Yes religious fanatics go mad over atheists...I won't state my religion, as I already have got a lot of hate on this site, by closed minded people...that's fine...others have open minds and they are the one's I enjoy talking too

The Virago was a nice bike. I worked on a couple for friends, has lots of getup and go.

Still have my GL 1200. But I just picked up a red Gold Wing 1500 SE, two weeks ago. Now that's a rider's bike! (As told by my milage since I got it- 1000 miles already) This is my 49th season aboard two wheels. My purple one (Which I still ride) has gotten me down the road since 91. Great bikes never die-they just get better with age.

It's a great way to get around in WA state where everything is so scenic. I had a helmet with an extra wide eyeport. Can't tell you how many times people in cages almost took me out on the hwy. My ex was in front of me, so you would think that would have them looking not that far behind/askew of him. I was thinking about getting something else, I think the Kawasaki Vulcan, but then just eventually sold my bike. I've seen ladies riding in the B seat on a Gold Wing while reading a book:) Nice and comfy back there I guess, lol.

When it comes to standards everybody has their limits; I'd go even lower.

The reason so many of us are single I believe is because we are so ready to compromise on our desires in a mate. Then find we are unhappy with the results.

Yes and because we don't want to repeat the mistake some assume we're single because we're " too picky "

^^^ Do people tell you you're too picky, BCC? From your forum posts, your expectations seem reasonable to me.

Yes Sun, some do and have over the years - including my own Sister !

I remember showing her the women who added me to their fave list and she said over and over again " What's wrong with HER ? What's wrong with HER ? "

BCC, I've read what you've said about your expectations, and you've never sounded anything other than reasonable to me. You talk about attraction in terms of wanting someone 'attractive enough' - that doesn't say PICKY to me. You've also talked about being willing to compromise in a relationship. By chance, has your sister been married for years?

Tell my sister that, haha

She's never been married - we're from the same broken home. Nuff said, haha

That was my next guess - 'has she never been married?' She doesn't think she's picky though, right? ;-)

She dated a guy under 5'9"?! Impossible! Never happens! Not even 0.1% of the time! You're being WAY too optimistic, man! ;)

How picky are the millions of people who live in some little hick town or village in the middle of nowhere, but almost all end of marrying, having kids, and living the American dream?

You guys are nuts when it comes to height. How do all the shorter men in Mexico and South America date and get married, and all the shorter Asian men? I'm not talking 5'-9" or 8 or 7. I'm talking 5'.

"living the American dream?"

George Carlin once said " they call it the American dream because you have to be ASLEEP to believe in it "

New Yorker brings up a valid point, perhaps all the whiney short guys should head to Asia to find their soul mate, hell there might even be a Denny's ;D
