And for you Jesus people, according to the book written about him, he wore a robe or basically a dress.

Using God, as a tool to insult people will get you messed up quick...this notion of dressing boys up in dresses was a foolishness notion that nobody sane would consider...but some how it's turned the corner into something worst.

If you're an adult male...and want to parade around in dresses...fine...if you are a teenage boy and want to do that...well shtz...it ain't happening !!!

Now, taking the path of insulting our religious convictions will be a fight you wish you never started...so I'd advise you to tread lightly...

As for WWJD, if you have faith and believe, you know the answer - he would embrace the transgendered as his children. To think he would do otherwise means your faith is weak.

Agreed, onyx. I didn't start my thread for it to sway towards the subject of religion and insulting what we "Jesus People" believe in. I'm Anglican and my beliefs are very personal and I refuse to get into any religious debates.

Back to topic. Sure, in some cultures and some countries and back through history it's / was traditional for men and boys to wear robes likened to what we loosely call a "dress" today.
That's one topic for discussion but this topic is about our cultures; here in Australia and there in the UK, Canada and America etc..... in modern times.

Anyone have an opinion on what the boys ARE wearing at school nowadays??????

You know, the pants hanging to their knees, underwear showing, and a brand new baseball wore sideways with the tags still on.

Haven't seen a female wearing the pants like that, so I guess, it must be a "boy" thing. Not a "gay" thing. Not a "transgender" thing. Just a boy.

Personally, I believe a dress would be a step up.

But, hey, wear whatever the phuck ya want.

Any boy that does show up in a dress must be immediately expelled...and not allowed to return until he's been subjected to extensive psychological treatment...his parents as well.

Some people don't care while others do care. Personally (and as a few others said in this thread) we worry about potential negative reactions to those who choose to dress out of the norm which may lead to bullying on and off social media.

Like I said in a previous post,

the concern regarding this issue is, indeed, to what extent of bullying may these boys be subjected? Hopefully none but the school cannot possibly guarantee it.

Visible bullying in the class room or the school yard is one thing but what about before and after school and, God forbid, social media? I'm sure we all are aware of the consequences of cyber bullying.

All I can say is; if a student and his parents really, really concur with this idea, then they should be counselled and therefore made fully aware of potential negative consequences.


I think Social Workers such as yourself can be an important tool to guide and advise. :)

It's shameful that you think people should be expelled for being themselves or wearing what they feel like wearing but you don't think people that bully them shouldn't suffer the same consequences. Everyone has their own individual reasons for doing what they do and wearing what they wear. You don't have the authority to say someone else should be kicked out of school or sent for treatment because you don't personally agree with their style. That's your problem, not yours. I would seek treatment for yourself if you're so worked up over it.

I wanted to bring this up with the issue of gender neutral bathrooms, but now I AM going to just say it..........
Men have been using women's bathrooms for a LONG time, people just didn't realize it.
Men have also been cross dressing for some time.
All this debate over something that has BEEN going on, for decades? Silly.
Don't EVEN get me started with the ignorance it takes to think cross dressing, or being trans-gendered is even remotely related to child molestation.
Anyone that makes that correlation is either willfully obtuse or ignorant, pick one.

One thing I have to say is this: Lets put people's point of view into reality.

And I mean no malice whatsoever to anyone. Just illustrating a scenario for food for thought on a deep down practical basis. :)


1/ How many of you have sons?
2/ How many of you will be more than happy for them to wear a dress to school?
3/ How many of you will go out and buy them a dress tomorrow?

4/ How many of you would wear a dress to work if you had the choice of a dress or "Men's clothes"?
5/ How many would shy away?
6/ How many would stand up and say their piece without the risk of bullying?

Just interested to know is all.
