How much do you weigh?Page 5 of 6    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)

Whenever I have had my profile active I have always listed my weight in the about me section. That way the person looking at my profile didn't have to do any guesswork. They either liked what they saw/read or they didn't.

I wouldn't dismiss a woman just because she weighed more than a certain amount. Weight alone isn't necessarily indicative of body type. 2 people can have about the same height and weight and have different body types. One person can be athletic / muscular and other person has excess body fat.

Yes, this is true, but to an extent. Weight is distributed differently in everyone.

I now weigh 135 lbs... 5 months ago, I went from working from home and walking my pooch an hour a day and exercising when I want, to full time office work, with no pooch to walk and much less time with early dark nights.
Iv started running again and would like a bit to come off...

I currently weigh about 195 pounds at 5'7". I have a 46" chest and 34" waist. Arms are around 17". Not bad for my age (51), but I have room to tighten things up and improve.

That was me from page 1 almost 2 years ago. I now fluctuate between 200-205. It's leftover winter insulation...

Suzy, you're 5'5" 135lbs. You're fine on weight. How much water you have in your system can shift your weight by several pounds, so don't focus on that. I would just say run a bit to make yourself feel better -- and just work out with some barbells and such for toning if you're "eek" about a little more skin on the waist VS 5 months ago or something. :)

I'm 140 pounds at 5'4. My body tends to distribute the weight okay but I still would like a couple pounds less. Working on that.

5'5" & 125 lbs. I have a growing gut due to increased alcohol consumption & slowing metabolism. I'm cutting back on the alcohol for a myriad of physical & mental reasons.

that slowing metabolism is a real beeeotch. As we get older, one of the few pleasures we have left is enjoying food that tastes good, and we have to even cut back on that :) A while ago, a coworker friend of mine mentioned that if we ever make it to a certain age, life should give us "Seniority", a pass on all the BS in life, like when you work for a place long enough, you stop getting that "what have you done lately for us" crap and get the get-out-of-jail-free pass.

but then there's the age where we should just order off the kid's menu. I take a 60 yr old friend out to eat, and she only consumes about half of it.

Any suggestion helps. Only trying to lose like 5 pounds or so. Probably cutting off sweets is the key.

Most of my adult life I could not get over 97lbs.
Eat like a pig and couldn't gain an ounce.
I'm 5'3" and now I teeter between 115/120 and feel much better.

I do have some workout ideas, but I would need additional pictures to make an assessment...

I weigh about 160 lbs, which is average for my height. There’s no way that I’m dating a woman who doesn’t at least have any ambition to try to have a healthy body.

See, Canelas? I told you he would come through, and he did. I believe his ideas will be very effective, as well.

First things first...Don't worry about the numbers on the scale (your weight). It comes down to how you look in the mirror and how your clothes fit. It all looks great from here...

Weight training is the best way to firm up and tone your body.

My favorite workout is naked oil wrestling...

if memory serves, the first 10 lbs lost in a diet tends to be water, which of course is quickly regained. Muscles will add tone, and thus may keep the curves firm and not flabby.

naked oil wrestling? that requires low cholesterol oil. Virgin olive in golden green, perhaps? I would have thought CD would recommend exercise for two. Say, a long bicycle tour that gets the endorphins flowing while sharing new scenery together. Maybe a tandem bike? On a steep incline, someone would have to rise up on their pedals, thigh muscles shiny with sweat tightening in tune to the glutes as you both struggle together in exertion, breathing heavily...and picnic lunch in the wicker basket on the front for lunch...

Muchas gracias. Nice compliment, made me smile :)

Never thought about oil wrestling. Might be interesting...what kind of oil?

If I'm lucky I'll lose a couple pounds reading this forum too :P

Ah, my water weight loss was long before this post even began...

Naked oil wrestling?
I'd go for coconut oil - far tastier and it keeps the skin soft as well.
Then a bike ride to a secluded riverside for that picnic and cooling down. Remember the sunscreen.
