It used to be a free feature, but I'm sure it's a paid feature now.
Don't know if it will still be once Match.com gets done with "fixing" the site.

Just google "POF username search" and it directs you to the searching screen :)

I still have it on web and Windows app. I don't have it on iOS. I guess this will be an upgraded feature eventually SMH

Just search youtube for Username Search. Youll find an independent program, that will allow you to search for your past emailed username (pof received [browse by date]).
I didnt think id find her again, but using the program, I did. There are plenty of fish out there, but im not just after any old fish.
POF only holds messages for 30 days, so this is a great way to reconnect, with lost connections.

Hi sweetie , how are you :-)

Unbelievable! It's not there!
I used to be a paying member and I think you might be able to do it if you upgrade. Too bad they can't even bother their heads to tell us that!
Somehow I'm not in a big hurry to upgrade ...

The username is no longer available and it is most likely due to the fact that Plenty of Fish was sold to Match.com
One of the reasons I liked plenty of fish was that it didn't have all the scammers that match had but now it does have them and you can't report them anymore because in order to report them you have to have a conversation with them you can trace. Once these scammers realize that you are on to them they block you and you can't report them unless you made a deliberate point to write down their user names as soon as you realized they were scammers. Well, the truth is we are on this site to find a dating partner and to have to be so vigilant about scammers. Match.com operates very carelessly and POF used to have good vigilance over these matters but it is no longer the same ....sad.

False, you can still do a user name search. (just read this thread)

False, you can still report someone via the link on their profile and do not need to correspond with them.

Why would you engage in a conversation with a scammer?
Just report and move on.

I have no username search on mine.

There is a way of searching username
3 username search will be an option at this point
4. Send message to that username,
5 will be prompted to log on at this point
6log on and chat as usual
Posted: 5/7/2017 2:35:47 PM
Step 1: Logout
Step 2: go to http://www.pof.com/basicusersearch.aspx
It absolutely will not work if you skip step 1.

I have this morning found that if you put p.o.f. and username into your search engine, it comes up immediately. Hope that helps!
Posted: 5/14/2017 9:44:14 AM
Go to google
In the search bar type:
replace username with whatever their username is.
Posted: 5/14/2017 10:16:41 AM
And even easier than the above. Type "PoF username" (actual username you're searching for) in to the google prompt box.
Posted: 5/14/2017 8:12:33 PM
Username Search is still on the POF Sign In page where it has been for years. And the last time I checked, Meet Me email notifications contained the username of the person who initiated the notification.

Plenty Of Fish Username Search
Search the POF.com Website for Any Member by Username
Plenty Of Fish dating website has removed their username search for many locations across the globe. This is POF's attempt to provide further incentive to purchase their upgraded dating membership.
