I will, Clooney.

I have found that most men in my age range are what you find in the least of them here. So, yeah.... that sounds like a good idea.
There are some good ones. (That was a Trump pun. Get it?Just for L2L)

LOL... yes... and dinosaurs aren't extinct, they just shrank and their numbers are increasing... they are microbes now (quick.. let's build a wall). Your statement reminded me of another statement made in a different thread, that is...

WHO is yelling "Fire" in this theatre?

The picture of a spark, a fire doesn't make. Here is a little reality...

roughly 1.8 percent of men identify themselves as gay and 0.4 percent identify themselves as bisexual.
roughly 1.5 percent of women identify themselves as lesbian and 0.9 percent identify themselves as bisexual.

The above is data obtained by the Washington Post from the CDC (instead of someone's wild alarmist imagination).... more information (facts) can be had at ...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2014/07/15/what-percentage-of-the-u-s-population-is-gay-lesbian-or-bisexual/?utm_term=.48068daef531

and

Using a bot the same is not that much of a leap.

What a "solid" conclusion!

Make Google your friend.

The Washington Post article above was written by Eugene Volokh... really great guy... extremely smart, genuinely brilliant. Wikipedia fails to mention the work he did for Hewlett-Packard as a consultant starting at the age of 13 ... a little bit about the life of Eugene and Vladimir (his father) can be glanced at...

http://volokh.com/sasha/newswire.html

but... for some, he is probably just another Ukrainian rapist who left an American jobless.. LOL

Most are posting here probably for the reason I stated--that the side topics are interesting, not the original. Hence numerous changes in the topic title line.

"You just know that this will be seen as a prime advertising medium. What happens when she starts telling you about the benefits of the new brokered investment fund during the throes of passion? Or telling you she'd rather ride with you if you bought a new BMW? Remind you to buy lottery tickets and salsa?"

>>>you heard it here first, folks. You think he's kidding, maybe he thought he was kidding, but I guarantee you...from an advertising viewpoint, that's pure ****ing genius, dude. Maybe it's illegal for kids' dolls to download up to date advertising, but i'll bet its not for adult dolls. Patent it wherever you could, Half, b/c its going to be worth something when someone someday catches up to it.

I wasn't kidding. Advertising and branding inundate us and take over everything. I watched a rerun of Modern Family the other day that took place on the screen of an iPhone. Somehow we saw all the features of the phone during the episode. 22 minutes of a commercial, interrupted by 8 minutes of other commercials.

^^ I don't want an argument about it, as I think you and I probably agree about most things.
<--- cutesy emoji.
I think emojis are now part of the language, which has always evolved, over time.

I wasn't "putting words in her mouth", I was simply commenting on your post, because I felt it missed the point.
(About size, and perceived threats)
You weren't really "sexually popular", you were just rich, (To them) and young, dumb, and full of ***.
And I wasn't suggesting that BB would be shaking her booty, I was suggesting that had the roles been truly reversed, YOU would have been shaking yours.

Back on the (interesting?) topic:
I don't doubt that when the first cave dweller, drew the first artistic representation of a female's clematis, and/or an erect penis, that society at the time (such as it was) would have been horrified that such "new technology" would corrupt the minds of all those who gazed upon it.

When photography was invented, there were similar concerns, and pornography was then restricted to those with wealth, and thus educations. Fearing that such images would drive the lower orders into an uncontrollable sexual frenzy.

Soon, there will be "virtual-reality" suits which you can don, and miniature transducers, buried in the material, will let you "feel", (or maybe actually feel?) the touch of a "lover", possibly on the other side of the Earth, who will be similarly attired.

Gloves could be be equipped with sensors, to detect the most subtle of movements, your hands could actually FEEL the erotic texture of your lover's lumpy, neoprene catsuit.
I think that's the future of romance.

Maybe '3D' imaging and scanning, combined with '3D printers', will enable exact life-sized* facsimiles of your partner to be produced, and could be used and operated remotely, by someone wearing a 'sensory suit'.
The possibilities are endless.
"If you build it, they will come!"
(sorry....)

( * Or maybe a just little bit smaller, even?)

Humans have always invented things. Some with sex in mind, some not.
I worry more about the stuff which they design, for the sole purposes of death and destruction, than any clever new masturbatory aid.

When they invented "The Rabbit", I didn't feel at all "threatened", even though it didn't look remotely like any male sex-organ, which I'd ever seen.

Until they produce something which doesn't look anywhere near as good as a woman looks, but which men would strangely, somehow prefer, I think women are secure in their desirability.

Have a happy Sunday.
I'm off out.

(That one's purely gratuitous)

Some younger guys are already choosing machinery over women. It's the guys who play video games from morning to night, day after day. That is the love of their life.

For every bolt....A nut

From automobiles on up to computers us humans are addicted to our machinery aren't we? I mean, whether you are a guy or gal our species can't seem to keep our noses out of our I Phones. We text others on our phones while driving our cars all while wearing clothes that have been made with the help of...... Yes, machines.

Everything.... Unless you are living completely off the grid which has made us what we are today, is possible by courtesy of our ability to make it so. We use our minds to make things easier for us, don't we? Anyways, unless you are some kind of throwback and are indeed living primatively then machinery and technology are part of your life.

So, since that is how I see things then maybe having a man made partner could be our future as a species? Machinery and technolo0gy are man made are they not? Come to think of it, my Mom and Dad made me oh so many years ago so I guess that makes me man [and woman] made too?

Who's to say if our flesh and blood "humanity" isn't just another elaborate technological creation? We could even be a model of "Love doll" created by an advanced species and maybe they decided we weren't worth the effort it would take to make us more attractive and therefore more profitable. Kind of like a discontinued item in the store.... Cut costs and delete the excess inventory.

There is a movie where both, man and women, "dump" each other for bots used for sex and everything else. It's called "Surrogates".. reasonably good movie.

The probably use Bitcoin. But would that be considered as bad and tacky as using a coupon? Do male robots go to strip joints to see naked female robots?

This has been really a ridiculous thread and yet it goes on. The women feeding into this must be very, very worried how guys are going to be abandoning them in the future. For some reason, I don't think they should be worrying that much.

Years ago, the idea of a driver-less care seemed totally ridiculous and strictly science fiction. They are just around the corner now, as well as driver-less taxis. Same with using drones, that would would be used in warfare to bomb countries instead of only using standard military weapons and personnel, That idea was far fetched not long ago, but drones are being used now in the middle east in bombing missions. Instead of fighting in the battlefield, someone at a command center is operating a drone using a joy stick, just like playing a video game. Gamers could have a good career in the military, since they already have spent countless hours learning how to kill enemies on a video screen, but would get to do it in real life by joining the military.

Designing a robot that has some sort of intelligence and be more human-like would be a major challenge, but who knows what will happen in the future as technology advances. I wonder if people would be able to, some day, order a designer robot, that has specific characteristics-or doesn't have certain ones. I'll leave that to your imagination.

I don't really understand the fear, are you saying that guys will only date/marry you if they have nothing better to pick? I don't know why you'd want to be with someone who is with you for lack of any other choices??? Or am I misunderstanding you?

A female sentient artificial lifeform would want her freedom.

If you have not yet seen the film Ex Machina, here is a direct download link to get a copy from fzmovies.

Your worries are unjustified, at least for the foreseeable future.

Much before there is a robot woman or man that can replace the real thing, there will be something that no man or woman could possibly match. That is...

There are already "gadgets" that can stimulate particular areas of the brain to produce a particular sensation. As that technology advances, there will eventually be "gadgets" that can stimulate the brain in ways that the human body cannot accomplish thereby producing perceptual sensations and experiences beyond those that the human body can provide.

Mechanically speaking, the human body is a very limited system of receptors that stimulate the brain. There are "ingenious" ways of stimulating the brain that are much beyond the perceptual mechanisms provided by a human body. That technology is currently in its infancy but, as science acquires more and more knowledge about how the brain works and how to stimulate it, these "gadgets" will get more and more "effective".

The "replacement" for a woman or a man won't be a robotic facsimile of either, it will likely be some sort of helmet that showers the brain with sensations we know and others no human body could ever produce. In movie-speak, beyond a "Total Recall" experience.

Resistance is futile ;-) Technology can eventually give more pleasure than a human body can but... procreation will still require a "contribution" from a man and a woman.

"It will give guys the luxury of being picky"

>>>Personally, I just want someone/something that regularly approaches situations with rational/logical responses first, emotional ones second. Few women are going to worry they might lose guys like me to a robot. It is nice to hear someone say that not all guys suck and are worth losing :) But as others have pointed out, an accurate humanoid is generations away from now--most real humans barely can define what makes something "human life" inside a womb. Or what makes a relationship a good, healthy one. Like the quote from the Matrix, we can create the perfect experience, and it will be rejected by the pessimists. And, everyone wants something different in a relationship, so all those options have to be covered as well.

and that assumes some men don't get bored with their perfect AT&T girl

Have you ever watched "Guys and Dolls"? It's about guys who had problems with women and ended up buying life-like sex dolls, so I guess that passes for a love interest. The guy with the southern accent was kind of ratty looking TBH but the black guy and the guy in Texas (Mike) were not bad looking at all...

Anyhow, the part of the movie that really hit me was when Mike threw a party where he had his dolls dressed up at the table for a party (he owns 8 life size dolls) and he invited his then-gf over. She played along with it but then after the party, they show her sitting at a picnic table with a depressed look on her face. She broke up with Mike after the party. I can understand why she looked depressed. Who wants to get dumped for a doll???

This x10 when they start coming out with life-like robots.
