If this is true then the god of the bible is a liar. First of all god promised abraham that his descendants would be more numerous than the sand on the beach and the number of stars in the sky. Do you know how astronomical of a number that is? That means mankind can not die off till the end of time. So that means mankind will have to venture out of this planet and go to others and populate those. Many many planets before a revelation. No way 6/12/2017. When that date comes and goes will that be the day you admit your god is fiction?

but anyway that concept was portrayed in the movie "Sphere" ..in which three scientists after walking into an alien sphere that turned them into Gods created so much havoc ..... (WARNING SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ THE REST) ..... that they all agreed to use their powers to forget that they were Gods and to get rid of the Sphere before others walked into it ...especially since it was a military operation

it's odd that it would take a Quantum Consciousness which is "supposedly" the combine consciousness of all the inhabitant that ever existed on Earth (past present and Future) four months to think of a revelation ..or have an original Thought .. ..doesn't place the Human Race in a good light

You posted the Greek word for God; and if you don't accept that as proof God exists....
You can't expect a definition to be proof that "atheists" exist.

So a person who believes that when you die there is no after life or anything your physical being ends, and since your DNA is passed to your children, they carry on a piece of you, is exactly what? Sounds like an Atheist to me

No. If claim to be a non-theist, the burden isn't on you to prove anything about any gods. The burden of proof is on those who say there's a god(s) in the sky. Popularity doesn't shift any burdens of proof -- hence, if I were to believe in a giant alien civilization watching us, ready to convert us into porn stars for their own amusement -- the burden of proof is on me. Those who lack that believe -- no, the burden of proof is not on them to prove that there is no alien civilization watching us with that intent in mind.

Now, a "strong atheist" -- or a type of atheist (=non-theist) who believes that in fact no gods exist -- then yeah, They have burden of proof. They aren't just not buying into an unsubstantiated concept -- they're promoting that it Can't be. So they would have to prove that.

If by all this, you mean something else -- that if one says "I'm not a theist", that they have the burden of proof that they Are in fact not someone who's a theist, if one doubts them -- true. But not much is needed, there, by default. If it was a young minister of a church saying he was non-theistic, after he met a hot gal who's atheistic, there's reasonable doubt he truly is non-theistic, so he's got some 'splaining to do.

But under normal common circumstances, someone saying they're not theistic, all they have to do is make a reasonable explanation as to how/why they are. As long as that's coherent and makes sense, there's no burden of convincing on them. By default, there's no incentive to lie about it -- usually the other way around at least to a small degree. If one wanted to be paranoid, it'd be the claim that those who claim to Truly Believe that there is the God of the Bible, as explained in their tradition -- whether they ACTUALLY believe it or not, since it's the unsubstantiated claim, riding on hope, faith, etc.

Based on the NT....what you describe above amounts to "blaspheming or mocking the 'Spirit' of god"
and as it says...this is a sin for which there is NEVER any forgiveness...no matter how much, you plead, beg, pray, pay alms, tithe, etc...........this is why the Pharisees were never forgiven.

So says the Bescumber as he has such a intelligence the best insult he can throw is idiot. But what can you expect from someone who cant even identify when someone is just being a smartass. Since he really has nothing but Ad hominem attacks cause it's easier than to even come up with something intelligent. And totally full of buncombe cause well I was addressing an individual and was not an insult to their God or belief but the fact that I dont see their God coming to help them out. But here's to the corpulent male who is learn how to throw somewhat of an insult.
