Damn. How many more ghosts of forums past are going to surface this week?

Anyone who missed the forums back in that era missed some classics. Some of those posters were hysterically funny. The entertainment value was pure gold.

It's that time of year I guess.
Everything everywhere is slow and boring.
I'm realizing I was 53 when I started babbling here.

Yup, when I mentioned about the scammer all those years ago, I started to feel real ancient too.

It's pretty easy to spot scammers before they even ask for money. They don't live in your state or province. Can't spell or use English correctly, but many men here can't. Then the pièce de résistance is asking for money for the crazy situation they're in, usually abroad.

The people that get scammed, there's something wrong with them. When presented with evidence, they still insist the person isn't a scammer. And they still want to send money, if not their own because its all gone, then ask relatives for cash to send. It really is sad to see an old retired person give away their retirement fund.

So true, as all you have to do is look at their profile.

As typically they will go out of their way to state they are looking for an honest and post 10 year old plus photos or ones where they are clearly attempting to hide their true body type.

I think you're getting scammers confused with a catfisher:

Urban Dictionary: catfisher

A catfisher is the name coined to a bottom dwelling human, who spends a great deal of time on the net in various locations, luring people into a falsely based romance. A catfisher uses fake pictures and bogus information. Often has low self esteem and simply is not happy enough with their image to present it to people that they deem out of their league, and turns to faking other people instead. Other reasons for fraudulently representing people include doing it to boost one's self esteem and playing people they would otherwise not even get to speak to. In short a catfisher is someone who performs the act of catfishing.

All the wimpos need to quit playing silly games and call someone out if they have an issue. Nothing worse than a bunch of passive aggressive weenies to afraid to come out of the weeds.

I used to have the one where I forgot my locker 'com'---would go into a panic!

Then there's the one where 'I did not REALLY finish college and get a diploma'----fraud, fraud! Imposter, imposter!

Haven't had either one for awhile. Must have 'aged out' of them...about time!

In kindergarten, we were taught to share our crayons, play nice & hold hands while standing in a circle singing.

Those were the good old days!

I used to have these same dreams/nightmares throughout my twenties. That and the one where I'm struggling to make it through endless hallways and staircases to end up being late to class. I went to a big school that literally took over five minutes of fast paced walking and stair running to get from one side to the other.

Outta curiosity who are you calling a wimpo(s) and weenies?
I so happen to like being in the weeds...lol

I have the dream where I have a third eye or my teeth are falling out in pieces.
I use to have the school dreams being my age now in amongst the youngins.
Never forgot the locker combo but do have the trying to call on the old rotary dial phones and it won't go all the way around.

Cyndi, that would be Broccoli, and his persona non grata persona, Cadet, or is it the other way around

About those dreams, they could be called anniversary dreams. The subject is common with worries about graduating. What makes them anniversary dreams is if they tend to come yearly, and sometimes at the same time of the year.

BAAARRRRRMMMMMMPPPPP!

Wrong. Broccoli is a woman and is in no way, shape or form connected to Mr. Cadet (although I have an inkling who he is).

But please, do try again; it's quite amusing.

Yes, let's just "call someone out" and start another flame war in here. Nice.
