Let me guess...now is not the time to discuss amendments/regulations to the second amendment. Apparently it's always too soon because your mass murders and individual murders by gun are so frequent there's not enough time between them to discuss them. Pathetic.

Turns out the shooter is a white guy so talking about it at all would be politicizing it.

Just time for thoughts and prayers.

Oh and don't forget, it's unpatriotic not to support an amendment which is there in case you feel the need to kill members of the US military.

I see that the usual resident blabbering trolls have been mum so far.

I guess they are having an emergency meeting to see how they could spin this in their favor

But hey, I guess they can take heart in that the shooter was white (and ex-veteran) non Muslim.......so all those poor Pple who died were not killed by an "animal"..... like those PPle in NYC were

The worst mass killing in Texas history by a killer armed with a Ruger AR assault-type rifle and wearing a bullet proof vest is a mental health problem, according to Comrade Trump.

what law would prevent this in the future?
they know who the drug importers are, they know where illegals are and who is smuggling them, they know who is recruiting terrorists and how ( there is always," oh yeah, we were followibg that person.") and who is trafficking in girls. but they choose to do nothing or institute a lawsuit ( using other parts of the constitution other than the 4th amendment in the lawsuit) to prevent any action.

i have lived in countries where people are not allowed guns - only soldiers and government have tgem.

Not good.

what short of no guns to civilians would prevent this in the future?

Ummm...how about screening pple to see if they are deranged in any way before they are sold a gun; or how about a national registry to see who is buying what and how frequent. We can do this with pple getting narcotics but we can't do it with guns..........oh I see, pain relief is not a constitutional right!

Will it guaranttee that these things won't happen?...no but it might cut down the number of deaths, if a nut finds it harder to get his weapons.

its like a seat belt, won't guarantee you will survive a car accident, but it may reduce your risk of serious injury...Duuuh.

The quieter that this becomes, the more I speculate that the authorities are keeping something back
A failure such as Paddock wouldn't come to stage a record-beating massacre only because it takes his fancy
And things have gotten so muted on this that we'd think that nothing had happened

that is similar to what I wondered in another thread:

it is also unbelievable that they do not know the motives behind these sprees.

like they deny that someone yelling allah akbar or whatever is motivated by islamic terrorism, what is it that they are refusing to acknowledge, or tell the public, is the motivation for these sprees?

The common denominator in the majority of these mass killing sprees is the weapon of choice. No one needs a Ruger AR assault-type rifle to protect their home, private citizens don't need assault weapons.

"Oh and don't forget, it's unpatriotic not to support an amendment which is there in case you feel the need to kill members of the US military."

>>>ah, but then they have to admit, they can't celebrate the Confederacy and have participation trophy statues to traitors.

"What law would have prevented this in the future?"

>>>the Great Obama tried to pass a law banning people arrested for domestic abuse (like the shooter, who got a bad conduct discharge) from getting guns, b/c half the mass shooters have DA on their record. But chump went and threw that right out. Then there's suggestions we treat guns like cars--you renew your registration every few years, and you have to have insurance (bet a gun lock costs less than high insurance rates for a household of kids and an unlocked gun, there's a free market solution) or we can regulate ammo--right now, you can go online and buy the stuff and have it delivered to your door. and even the website says its not responsible for what gets stolen off your doorstep, so they know there's a problem. we don't have to ban all guns, just like we don't ban all cars, just cars that are dangerous and should be on a racetrack not a city street.

meanwhile its Hillaryous that people who believe in conspiracies everywhere they look...can't imagine the Russians had something to do with the election. THAT conspiracy they can't seem to swallow, but everything else is plausible. wow.

Great question, as for the people like yourself who are a bit dim or the others with their head stuck in the fox echo chamber it is rather simple.

Firstly, seeing as the shooter was white it is clear this is not an immigration issue but a mental health one.

So the first thing that should be done would be to limit access to gun for people with a history of mental issues.

Which is why I expect any rationally thinking person to point out that tRump did the opposite and for the tRump worshipers to ramble on about Hillary or some unrelated topic in an attempt to deflect away from the fact that tRump's actions = more mass shootings.

Trump Signs Bill Revoking Obama-Era Gun Checks for People With Mental Illnesses
by Ali Vitali

President Donald Trump quietly signed a bill into law Tuesday rolling back an Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental illnesses to purchase a gun.

The National Rifle Association “applauded” Trump’s action. Chris Cox, NRA-ILA executive director, said the move “marks a new era for law-abiding gun owners, as we now have a president who respects and supports our arms.”

Everytown For Gun Safety President John Feinblatt said he expected more gun control rollbacks from the Trump administration. In a statement to NBC News, he called the action "just the first item on the gun lobby’s wish list" and accused the National Rifle Association of "pushing more guns, for more people, in more places."

The shooter bought the gun in 2016, or is that incorrect?

lol/pop/ buttheemail/etc, etc. etc etc etc.
you are funny.

nonleftists don't believe in conspiracies so much as they don't enjoy head in the sand/ deny reality or avoid questions that make them uncomfortable existence.

you people need to read a bit more to find out what really happened on the, alleged, "guns to the mentally ill" action.

as one witer put it, those headlines were another example of " the press is having a breakdown."

And when Dee gets confronted with her derp and lies as usual, she will deflect and avoid those questions.

So Dee, where did I say he overturned a law?

Are you going to admit you made something up or will you keep pretending and deflecting just like I predicted?

So, while the Toddler-in-Chief says the Texas shooting is the result of "mental health problem", he is responsible for repealing a rule that aimed to block some people with mental disorders from buying guns. In the meantime, the Trumpeters are clapping like trained seals at the zoo when they get a sardine.

^^^ After asking exactly what law was overturned, I'm sure Dee will have some stupid response justifying Trump's actions.

Do you know why Trump overturned Obama Dee? The same reason he has overturned Obama for everything Obama did.... he cannot stomach the thought that a Black Man was President and needs to totally destroy Obama's legacy...... but you go right on supporting the man... if he had his way, you would be working the cotton fields.

Yep the truth is out, and it shows that you will go full deflect when you are faced with the truth.

It is sad you can not even admit when you screwed up, but I guess you must keep the lie alive as long as you can.

Ya got any proof whatsoever? Anything?

Your crystal ball or opinion isn't proof.

Why do you constantly stalk and mindlessly harass Dee? A few of us are convinced it's because you're a racist. Why else would you do such a thing?

I kinda feel sorry for Dee. After all she's a Republican and has no idea how bad Trump really is.

Hey, I just remembered, you proved beyond a reasonable doubt that you were a racist. No doubt! Remember? It had something to do with blacks being responsible for most crimes in certain neighborhoods and we all know it. It was right before you deleted your own profile. Yeah, it did prove you were stupid and a racist.

^^^ Now that we all know you are an admitted psychopath who at seven years old took a bat to a boys head because he owed you five bucks, speaks volumes about you. A seven year old who would take off a boys head with a baseball bat over $5.00, and who brags about it as an old man... you got to assume that guy is one fuked up dude.

Funny how I pegged you for what you were years ago, and you were so kind to admit it by conceding your abhorrent, mindless actions as a psycho child.

How nice for you to stand up for Dee, who in my estimation is a despicable person in her own right. Two peas in a pod.

well lemme point this out
Trump (and recently John kelly) said that the Union was not blameless in the American civil war, in that they should have made "concessions" to prevent the conflict.

So lets examine what concessions could have been made (Trump did not say which); since the Southern representatives stated that abolishing slavery in the South was "unacceptable" terms(among various other points).

So since the issue of slavery was NON negotiable to the Confederacy, then its seems clear that the South woulda had its "cake, and eaten it too"...in that they probably would have gotten even more perks from the Fed beyond maintaining slavery

So I can say with some confidence that slavery in the South would have been preserved in a negotiated armistice; and Blacks in these states would have certainly still been 'slaves'

So, if concesssions is what Trump is referring to....then it stands to reason with little doubt that there would have to be slave states in the USA...as a term of peace between North & south

If you doubt this, then just examine Trump's basic demeanor & character; his capacity to care or empathize (comparing him to some-one like RFK)...and then tell me how I'm wrong.

Historical trends are probably stronger than historic personalities. For example, the Reformation would have occurred, perhaps a generation later, without the posturings of Martin Luther; slavery was well on the way to being abolished without the nastiness of the US Civil War; and Apartheid was certainly on its way out without the intercession of the overrated Nelson Mandela and members of his hideous family. On the other hand, cruel dictatorships such as that in Iran, North Korea or Syria, are really hard to remove

There is a guy in Ben who has been an employee his entire life. He called the people who owned the company he worked for and later sued "greedy owners'. (the people who give jobs to people...who allow people to make a living and suppor their families..he calls them greedy owners, but yet he stayed there and continued to work for them.)
He won a workman comp suit against them...perhaps fair, I'm not one to say. . AFter a life of being nothing more than a mere employee, he lives in Florida now and he all of a sudden is an expert on running a big business and being President of the United States. Yeah, sure Ben, you would know.

You criticize people like the fool with the multiple aliases...but when it comes down to it, you are just as much of a socialist as him and most of the rest of the people on here.
