Well,

Not sure if this will count as a feel good thing but I had my gas and electric smart meters fitted today and so now I can see how much of each I`m using and the cost so I wont have to worry about a huge bill seen as I`m living alone.

And Hi there RoxyMoronic, how are things??

Sunday I drove over to Oxford to have lunch with a bunch of friends. The hosts were 2 friends who have gotten together through one of our mutual Meetup groups. The chap is just passing 75 and I'm not sure how old she is.. They're happy, enjoying life and planning the next stage. Hope for us all.

Not sure if this counts but I`ll give it a go..

Today a very good friend of mine helped me to bring to my house a very nice Welsh Dresser ( Display Unit ) which used to be my parents but till now had been at the house where me and my first romantic partner and the mum to my 2 kids lives.

My former partner is downsizing but wanted the unit to stay in the original family so I agreed to re home it.

Its now sat in my dining room with my collection of buses on it..

So now I do kinda feel good...

I nwent to watch Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool last night. Excellent film. Bit of a weepie and a true story. The heroine was payed by Annete Bening whose smile lights up the cinema. I would encourage you to go see it.

I`m feeling good right now at 17:01 on December 9th 2017 because a good friend of mine has offered to take me to attend the Doncaster POF singles event..

Its been ages since I went to one and even longer since I hosted one.

Today at work was one of those really nice winter days when it's all still and quiet. There has been hard frosts for the last week, everything feathery with the build up of ice crystals.
No people around, some dunnocks and wrens rooting around in the leaf litter, a few redwing, linnet, stonechat, not much else, an occasional roe deer. Days like today remind me why I like birch woods as much as I do.

My rose bushes collapsed with the weight of the snow, I was glad to wake early to fix up somewhere else for the birds to drink and eat.
Just finished and my solitary robin landed in the garden, it came the closest to me a wild bird ever has.
I’ve a newly-wed pair of squirrels visiting at the moment too, actually I haven’t seen them today, hope they’re ok.

So the guests are doing this little experiment we make them do for fun at the tourist centre I work at. They are milling around the tables picking their favourite smells we have that go into the product when suddenly Frosty the Snowman comes on the audio system. One gent starts singing along. I join him. Several others get infected too and we all start doing this little walking dance along with it. 20 strangers in a room singing and jigging along.
So bought a smile to my face and theirs. That's what I like most about Christmas. Generally people smile more and are kinder to each other don't cha think? x

Tried coming to the aid of another forumite tonight ...just tea and biscuits really ...hopefully bunny will hop to the rescue..
On topic it would have made me feel good if I could have told her it was the tri-lithium crystal diode that merely needed a patch cable
but I couldn't do so in good faith. So I merely feel ok.

Paddington 2 last night. Haven't laughed so much in ages. Bit of pathos in there too and a few teary moments especially when the cavalry came to the rescue, I'm always a sucker when the cavalry come charging over the hill to save our hero (OK it was a bin wagon)!

So good I will probably go again!

Thanks Square.
I was amazed the robin tried to nest in the bushes at the top of the garden.

Bonds tucks his shirt into his tight shorts eschewing
shin pads he does a few stretches, his manager
David bit coin whispering his final instrucations
in his ear. Billy "goldee" bonds strolls on to the pitch .
Bonds calls his Captain over and now that captain is taking his
armband off and instructing the team to leave
the pitch. Terry fiat the opposing manager has instructed
his players to team mark bonds.

The referee starts the game with a drop ball which bonds wins
...immediately bonds threads the ball through the legs of the entire team ..
a nutmeg world record ..collecting the ball billy runs towards an empty goal .
The stadium grows silent as he stops the ball on the goal line. Dropping to his knees
Bonds now sweet talks the ball over the line. What a player. The crowd are euphoric it's a goal .

Isnt it annoying when people ruin another persons thread by going off topic and talking a load of tripe thinking they are interesting? ...
