I think lady Diana Spencer was not a commoner. My
Aunt cooked for her as a child and described her as
spoilt. I think Harry Windsor's conception was about December
1983 and while Diana slept with Mr Hewitt, their first meeting
was some years after Harry's conception so.....

As for Meghan's fine Dad so what...I just hope he gets there and
enjoys it all, as I intend to do. The m25 is full of screens and
adverts and warnings to keep away from Windsor
Which is crammed at the quietest times. It's lovely
that she's mixed raced and of course lovely that I'm not too put out by his gingerlook too.
The royals have a long involvement with
the military and sometimes I wished they'd tell the Americans
or nato or whatever they call themselves to **** off as they have off piste skiing to do.

I am very much looking forward to it all. For the ten year

Mr fawcett is an outstanding party organiser. I love Camilla too. I love chap for keeping me informed.

Philip and of course our lovely lovely lovely lillibet 2. What would we be without them .....

Chap, why would people be happy to see Meghan's father, since he's creating drama right before the wedding? I'd say that's poor form. He's steadily working on ruining her big day.

Vlad, and now the sister is joining in the drama. She said her father didn't get paid for pics, then changed it to if he did, it wasn't much. I wouldn't be inviting any of them to the wedding with their bad behavior of being users and liars. Now the sister is saying she doesn't have to shut up, even though Meghan asked her to. They were invited into this new life with her and are being arseholes. I guess they will sell her out for a few dollars to then not be part of their life and babies that are sure to come along. They could have done tasteful interviews after the wedding to get paid quietly. Of course the father is bothered by the paparazzi, because now he's not getting paid for pics, lol.

I googled Hewitt, but also see Welsh Guards Officer Mark Dyer is said to be his father too.

Yes, I know Piers. I don't get whatever channel he's on. I did read about what he said regarding the sister and father. I can see why Meghan asked the sister to shut up, but I'm sure she has her hand out to for $$$ and is supposedly writing a tell all book. She's the lowest of the low.

Just like when Obama ran for president (as with Meghan's mom being black) those that loudly proclaim they're behind them are trying to prove they're not prejudice, when those exclaiming it the loudest usually are.

NewYorker (can't say that without thinking of Frankie and that song!). You're following it more closely than me. I was and am assuming Markles Dad just got caught by the greedy press. Silly to try cashing in now, there are years and years of this to be taken advantage of and lots of doors being opened. You only have to look at Pippa Middleton to see how well she is doing by staying quiet. I would be surprised if bot the Father and sister hadn't been briefed on all of this. Rule number one (2,3,4 and 5) is to keep quiet.

I can't believe I fluffed it in my glee.......well done ....ah bollocks.

I'm done now until monday ..one of the billboards has them
selling toothpaste, under the slogan does your teeth sparkle

Countdown, 1/2 hr until she walks down the aisle. It's 3:30am by me and I didn't intend to watch it, but someone posted on facebook that Clooney's wife looked tipsy. There's Elton John. What a beautiful church. Prince Harry arrived and he looks nervous.

NYer - it's a chapel not a church. The Queen owns it. Shes got a college there too. It survived a fire about 20 years ago, the then Prime Minister John Major promised to rebuild it with taxpayers money, that didn't go down well, so the Queen paid for it (with our money).

I thought it went pretty well. The preacher was interesting but bored on too long. Mrs Megs did well though I'm surprised they didn't sit someone with her. Nice little touch from Charles to offer his hand when the went into sign the register. Nothing spectacular about the dress but I know bugger all about that side of things. I'm told the veil was the masterpiece as it had all the flowers of the commonwealth nations embroidered in it.

Megs wrist must be hurting. She made sure to look at and wave to as many people as possible on the carriage drive afterwards, nothing the royals normally bother about.

I didn't get the feeling there was as much frenzy as previous royal weddings, that's a good thing.

I'm pleased for those who like these things and that apparently includes a friend from school who was queuing up since Thursday for his spot. A more anarchistic, wayward, anti-authoritarian chap at 14 years old you couldn't have met.

So whilst yous lot were glued to the telly this gadgie was graftin.

Now when you paint exterior walls you scrape back the soil and the chuckie stones so you can paint the wall right down. Putting said soil and chuckie stones back next day when the paint is dry.

So I'm happily scraping away when what I thought was a worm, a big worm at that started moving about. But it had a head and a tail.

Yes it was indeed a snake. Apart from the zoo or the telly I'd never seen a snake before.

Arthritis or not I was up and off like an Olympic athlete.

Phoned Jason in Edinburgh. Was it an adder he asked.

Oh aye I shouted,what's 2 + 5 and it never answered. How the Donald duck do I know what it was?

Bottom line is that bits no getting done till he's back on Wednesday.

Great story for the grandbairns though. The day their grandad came face to face with death.

vlad!! you're a disgrace to scotland, ya big woosy!!

there's only 4 snakes native to the uk and one is not really a snake, more of a lizard without legs.
most common is the slowworm (the legless lizard) rounded body brown no teeth, they like compost heaps.
they will bite though, i used to catch em as pets along with lizards, one small one clamped it's jaws to my little finger and never let go all the way home, til i put it down in it's new home, used to freak me mother out:-)

the adder/viper next most common, but not that common, the only venemous snake, they only strike in defence (like most wild creatures), rough skin, beige in colour (more or less) with a very distinctive black zigzag or diamond pattern along their back, rough scales, body (unlike the slowworm) tapers toward the head.

next grass snake greenish can look a brownish green patterned but no zigzag like the adder,also has rough scales, not aggressive not venemous more likely to play dead, also like compost heaps(maybe they all do?)

lastly smooth snake not very likely to see one, i never have, not venemous, on the endangered species list.
and there's an oddity for ya! "species" doesn't obey the rule "i before e except after c" :-)

as far as i know they are all protected species.

the only other probability is an escaped pet, far as i know venemous not legal as pets, you would (i think) need a licence to keep venemous snakes, most pets would'nt survive long up your way, too cold for em.

The mother did look strangely alone.

Harry looked dashing in his uniform. Meghan's dress was okay, but not my cup of tea☺ It was too plain, didn't flow nice, looked like it wasn't fitted properly. People here thought it was representative of her being a simple girl. It was very sweet to see the brothers sitting together before the ceremony.

If Vlad handled the snake and was bitten, everyone would say it wasn't a brilliant thing to do☺

It was either a smooth snake or a slow worm looking at those photies.

It was residing right in the corner underneath a tarpaulin .

Even if it was a fast snake it had no chance of catching me.

I was nearly at Southampton after 20 mins.

A bear grylls type? Eh na. Anyone who knows me will tell you if you cannae buy it frozen from Iceland it doesn't get eaten. (New Yorker. That's Iceland the shop not the nation)

Anyway by the time I get hame the grandbairns will be in awe of their auld grandad.

Spiders? Now we're talking. I like spiders. I must have saved many spiders over the years by shooing them away with my paint brush.

Although you do get the stupid ones who throw themselves into the paint.

But SOME spiders deserve a wee bit of a wide berth.

That red funnel thingy in Australia that is only a toaty wee thing.

My dad used to stun flies and put them in the Web of Boris through in the bathroom.

It was like waiter service for the spider. But as my dad said they killed flies so fair play to them.

Although there was a story up here recently of a geezer cleaning out his garage and he got bit by a spider.

Got a sore one as well.

As for the desert. It's a deal roxy irwin. You battle the snakes and I'll sit and watch you with the lion.

We can gamble on the outcome.

I'll bring some plasters just in case.

Or a spider who had 'snake' issues?

Did your arm swell up and go a gangerous green colour?

Now I'm no disputing your dice with death but my mate ended up with what looked like spider / snake bite marks.

But we later found out he was pissed and fell in a rose bush. Hmmmmmmm

Rose bushes can be quite aggressive and have been known to resemble attacks by many wild animals

I remember (many moons ago) my sister and I going to our boss's house for Xmas morning drinks........then walking to our parent's house for Xmas lunch.......and arriving for lunch all scratched and scraped after being attacked by a hedge on the way there.

Hedges and rose bushes are evil beings that lie in wait for the unsuspecting.
