I don’t care how we meet, I just wish it would happen soon......

Well, stop wasting your time! Get dolled up, and hang out by the dumpster behind Wal-Mart! A prince or two is waiting for you! ;)

Yeah, I used to "Be Attractive". Now....not so much. I think women can smell that I sleep under a bridge.

.thanks Norwegianguy...😊

I hope I didn’t give the impression anyone is better than no one. 😉 tis defiantly not the case...but I do agree, get on out there, he isn’t just going fall in my lap, some effort is required 😊

But, Iv been separated about 3 years now, and been on Pof nearly 2 1/2 years, Iv had between 25-30 Pof dates and 2 RLD so the chances of RLD seem oh so sad, even though that is how most of us would really prefer it....

It will be interesting to see if you're slammed with the usual "OMG!!! THERE'S YOUR PROBLEM!!! NOBODY WANTS SOMEONE WHO IS STILL MARRIED!!!" spiel the separated men always receive here.

Oh you mean like people being subjective about who they take offence to, not particularly what’s being said? Yeh I notice that too. We’re all guilty of it, even you piggy :)

Sainsbury’s guy and myself have been dating for months now.
Last guy I dated from here worried about how we were gonna say we met if asked.
I’d already told ‘my people’ we met online, he was like ‘oh :/‘

I wouldn't continue dating anyone who wanted to lie about how we met. If they need to lie about that I'd wonder how many other lies they've told me.

RE: Pig's message above
I went on a couple of dates when I was separated and openly admit, it went nowhere. I was young (late twenties), the guys I tended to date at the time were immigrants from Europe, and these great guys were looking for a cute nice girl who was available and ready to jump in. I was around Polish people a lot... a very very family oriented culture. Will never forget a scene at a Polish bar where there was a tall, blond-faced, happy looking hunk holding a big jug of beer on one shoulder and a little baby on the other. :-) Being separated (especially to a Catholic) is a sign to run, not walk - probably for good reason.

I hope I didn’t give the impression anyone is better than no one.

Well, I will say this: One can think they don't think that, when "anyone" = anyone worthy of going out on a date, but at the end of the day, they certainly can think that. Litmus test: If one has a feeling of 'empty' more often than not when not in a Relationship, they're not passing the test very well. :)

But, Iv been separated about 3 years now, and been on Pof nearly 2 1/2 years

Flings or LD Relationships have more feasibility when married-but-separated... Has an embedded distance. When looking for something Real (LD Relationships aren't) -- WAY lower chances of finding someone who's a good catch. You'll just be frustrating yourself that there Is a good chance. Me saying that to people isn't killing dreams -- chasing that idea is, when people do. I'm sure you have learned that though at this point, of course.

short relationship, and he didn’t want anyone to know we met on of Pof let alone that he was even on the site..

That's Soooo 2002. At the same time though, I understand when a gal's shy about it. You can just agree not to mention online but not lie by saying you met where you First Met. Of course, that leaves it open by lying-by-false-impression if asked detailed follow-up questions about it all. I'm not going to go out of my way if/when things settled in, to lie that we merely met via online.

I wouldn't continue dating anyone who wanted to lie about how we met.

Well, an ex-gf of mine held that position, but she was wrong in that statement. My rebuttal? "Do you REALLY want to tell your mom that we met behind the dumpster of an adult movie theater? Really?" ;)

Everyman I have had a relationship with all 4 1/2 of them I met in real life.

Yeah, sorry about my friend Sam. He's rightfully counted as a half guy when he's half-sized down there... he claims it was a fishing accident, but I dunno. Never played Matlock with him on that one...

I just don't and won't date my customers.

I understand that as a basic default thing. But what if you had some nice chats with a now (finished-up) customer, and thru convo you both realize you very possibly cross paths at a particular tavern/place once in a while, and he suggests that 'we' should try running into each other there sometime (no # exchanged)... would you be weirded-out by that? Nix him when you ran into him 1-2 weeks later?

Norwegianplayer it's called honesty. Not something you'd understand since your world revolves around those 2 or 3 dates it takes you to figure out if a woman has low enough self esteem that you can easily convince her you're the real thing just so you can fuck her and then walk away.

I work at a place where this is frowned on. I can't except gifts or anything from a customer.
There is a fellow that has shown interest in me and when hearing I'm unable to date him....he made the decision to stop coming to my work in hopes he can get a date.

With the half man, which half did you date-the top or bottom half? Or was he sliced down the middle?

Norwegianplayer it's called honesty. Not something you'd understand

It was a Joke... I didn't meet an ex in the back of an adult movie theater by the dumpster (or did I?). As I said above that, I agree one shouldn't be in position to have to lie that they met via online. However, my (extreme) example was to also make the point that there can be situations where it'd be best not to reveal. It's not their business if it was under embarrassing circumstances or may cast (hasty, inaccurate) judgement. So yeah, IMO, technically you can have the right to alter the full-fledged answer, if that's the case.

What’s all this dumpster talk?
I’m missing something here.

Danny DeVito explains it, in this 35 second video (it's called a Dumpster Hump):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1DECZBdkII

I work at a place where this is frowned on. I can't except gifts or anything from a customer.

I understand that... like you can't be "picked up" at work at all. I would think many gals aren't liking that so much by default anyway. I just figured my example wasn't picking up, but more socializing no different than with a female customer you'd be chatting a lot with on a slow day. But the actual "pick up" (phone # exchange, flirting, etc) wouldn't happen there, was my point.

"Wait, I saw you chatting with a guy at Bob's Sports Bar this weekend and I think he bought you a drink. I believe I saw him in Here a couple weeks ago! Ooooh, you're in Troubbbblllle...!"? You're a jewelry designer, correct? Wouldn't it be more the case that he Was a customer, not Is? :)

The other day I went to see a woman, she asked my name, told me to sit down till she was ready, then she started running her fingers through my hair, pulling it a bit, all while rubbing her breasts on me, while making idle conversation...she then asked me for 20 bucks, I gave her a $5 tip and thanked her for the haircut

>>>back when everyone told me I would look better bald, they forgot to mention its more face to freeze in the winter breeze, and that never again, would I experience what was described above. I can't even get a nip in my ear at the dentist, all the hygienists are small breasted and large hipped.

maybe I should get my eyebrows woven, tho I've never understood it. its an eyebrow, how thick could it get to need a weave? or is it like a toupee for eyebrows going bald?

I had hot date on Valentines, she made the first move a little too fast and wanted me to move in with her, not a first, but unfortunately I am not straight and I am not hitting on straight people here, just responding. The one before that wanted me to move in as well and stalked the crap out of me, scary.

I have no problems with dating women, matter of fact I have no trouble getting a straight date, just getting one that isn't seems to be the problem or shall I say getting one that is super HOT, plenty of catch and releases.

Sounds like maybe you might want to try dating a woman, but then I am from California and many places in the USA it's still considered socially unacceptable, especially if your involved with a church in a less populated area in NO-WHERE USA

Have you tried a gym, many guys there, but most are probably GAY too.

Good-Luck

Long time.

Between 2015-2017, I met 3 men. The last one was this past November right before Thanksgiving. He didn't look bad in his pictures but apparently I don't pay a lot of attention because when we met, he had a huge face tattoo and honestly, that was very off-putting. He seemed like a nice guy but the tattoo on top of it being Thanksgiving, I couldn't. I went out of state to visit family members who I hadn't seen since I was a teenager. Granted it was only a few days but I wasn't interested in communicating back and forth while trying to visit and catch up with family so short answer is I ghosted him. He texted me in December, which I didn't even know but even if I had, I still wouldn't have responded to him because I just wasn't interested. Maybe I'll try again this summer because my daughter will be gone but I highly doubt that I'll try to pursue anything past an initial meet and greet (because I don't consider these dates).
