all personal truths/life death philosophies are such (correct) lol! As for each of us there is no evidence otherwise. That is why we choose ours and attempt to find others our truth resonates with- comfort!

What you are essentially saying Norwegian is that we assume a personal god when if there is a god, he may be indifferent to man. Since there is no evidence of a personal God, you are of course correct.

I'm saying that the existence of a God or Gods, in the very general sense -- in no way indicates it'd be some personal being "looking after us", nor would it Mean there'd be some "after life" (even if it was on the 'being' level). People believe in God(s) in the western world because they want an after-life. They're wrapped together in the fairy-tale books. It becomes hard for people to separate the two -- because they're conditioned that way since a kid, even if they're not some big religious person.

While the concept of a God Thing, at least in the very general sense, existing is Not a crazy idea -- it doesn't "solve" much. The only evidence that exists is that there is no fantasy "after life". It's evidence to the Contrary. And quite strong, too. And with no evidence that there is no existing God that interacts with our universe, outside the universe in and of itself, there's nothing to indicate that "someone has our back". We want to believe we live forever, that we'll see our dead ones. That's why people believe in a God. It's quite ridiculous to believe in some personal god-in-the-sky who has gates of a heaven to see virgins, dead relatives, etc of pure 100% happiness, etc -- but the socialization and association with wholesomeness and doing-right-in-general is what has kept it going for so long.

It is not The social idea of good and wholesome_ as evidenced by the number of "faithful" that are neither-indeed the evidence leads to fear of eternal damnation, death, and or promise of everlasting/ heaven life/existence that "keep it going" IMHO
