|Who's An IntellectualPage 2 of 2 (1, 2)|
|like i said, we only recognize the intelligence of a weltgeist we share. we rarely can see higher than that. our emotions may channel where we think an intelligent view on a subject lies. we feel something should be reality, so we assume it is. and for some people, dismissing science or facts as false, is necessary to pull off the goal of feeling comfortable that things are..what we really wish they were.|
it takes a little more than intelligence to step outside of our wants and desires, and see what is real (and what is relative--in the zero sum game of life, there are winners and losers, and the losers of course want to suggest what is fair and what is not). for example, we have to have compassion to walk in the shoes of others, feel their pain, and ultimately decide if its valid or self-inflicted.
