In the USA it varies based on location since every city , town, village has its own school system. Teachers make over 100 k at top salary with great benefits as well in many cities and suburbs. Mind you in the US they pay MUCH lower taxes than Canadians do, cost of things are cheaper so it isn't too bad.

lol...not sure what your getting at and if I or they wanted to tell what my occupation was then we would talk but with the way people are these days and depending on how the meet and greet went that would determine our talks....I've met women for coffee and all they did was **** about their life...and of course I listened....BUT never got hold of them again...same goes for the ones that complained about finances....ran from those!....lol....there were some that were good but they are far and few...exactly why I'm here for the forums and a FWB situation which I explain in my profile.....

I don't remember the exact the details. But the majority of these women worked as a teacher / some other job at a school or as a nurse / medical field. Another woman was in sales.

The last one was a dinner whore. The ones before that were a PhD holding executive in a for-profit school owning company, a college professor, a psychiatrist, an emergency MD, an attorney and a mortgage broker.

Hmm I don't think I've even dated 7 people total lol.
A chef (6 yr relationship), a clothes store retail clerk (1 date), none was still at highschool (1 date),
some sorta IT job (1 date), seriously can't remember (2 dates),
Then my actual boyfriend that is a security gaurd.

Well I mean if anything it tells me I have bad memory, maybe some low standards.
Although explains that they only had 1 date I guess. I just cannot seem to figure out the job the 2 date guy had.

I think as you get older you pay more attention to what a guy does for a job. I'm much more inclined to do so after being with someone chronically unemployed for years.

I have only been on dates with 10 people in my life and 8 were in the last year:

2008 (age 23) radio dj
2008 (age 23) teacher
2008 (age 24) construction worker
2017 (age 34) furniture salesman
2018 (age 34) same person as the second person so don't count this
2018 (age 34) garbage man
2018 (age 34) firefighter
2018 (age 34) moneymart teller
2018 (age 34) oil field technologist
2018 (age 34) small engine technician
2018 (age 35) carpenter

Yes. One of my friends who's a high school teacher, moved to out in the sticks in Missouri for a gal he met on a Xian dating site, like 7 years ago. He coached girls junior high basketball; coaches don't get much extra pay for that -- but he was making $85k a year, in Auburn Hills (nice rich suburb of Detroit). That's High (summers off too!). In Missouri out in the sticks, after 10 years of teaching under his belt, they'd only give him $37k. Crazy.

Mind you in the US they pay MUCH lower taxes than Canadians do, cost of things are cheaper so it isn't too bad.

Their federal income taxes aren't high at all, BUT their providence taxes are much higher than our states'. But hey, somebody has to fund their hockey addiction, right?? :)

I assume the construction worker was your ex who thrice fertilized your eggs?

Also, in people's lists they should have what "base" they got to, in brackets, next to them. ;) Here, I'll update mine:

- Topless Dancer [Struck Out]
- Hooters Girl [First Base - classic base hit]
- Full Nude Stripper [First Base - Walk (patiently worked her for drunken kiss)]
- Exotic Dancer [Struck Out]
- Body Shop Employee [First Base - Hit By The Pitch (she was just trying to make another guy jealous)]
- High-Scale Escort [Second Base (stinky pinky+stroking the snake)]
- Sex Toy Shop Employee [Inside the Park Home Run (anal)]

Let's see how many I can remember. Kind of in order going back...

- The last worked for a pharmaceutical company. She did quality control audits of their suppliers.

- A nurse

- Worked for DCF

- A clinical liaison for a group of hospitals. Being with her showed me patients are dollar signs to hospitals. Especially with their insurance.

- Computer field - she was the head of a group who created operating systems specifically for a company's needs

- Another nurse

and I don't remember after that. More than half the women I've dated (and profiles that I've read) are in the medical field.

Norwegianguy, you sure do have a type. Is that a for real list or made up?

And yes the "construction worker" was the one I procreated with. Although he was only a construction worker when I met him. He went through maybe 30 jobs when we were together. Here are how far I went with each

2008 (age 23) radio dj - I narrowly avoided a kiss, he got my cheek - saw him once
2008 (age 23) teacher - v-card - saw him at least 50x
2008 (age 24) construction worker - procreation thrice - 9 years:(
2017 (age 34) furniture salesman - kissing + handjob (is that second base?) - met once
2018 (age 34) same person as the second person so don't count this (all the way) 7x
2018 (age 34) garbage man (maybe I hugged him but can't recall) - met once
2018 (age 34) firefighter (all the way) - met once
2018 (age 34) moneymart teller (I hugged him when he attempted to kiss me) - met once
2018 (age 34) oil field technologist (everything including things I'd never done before) - saw him maybe 15x
2018 (age 34) small engine technician (all the way ) - met once
2018 (age 35) carpenter (all the way) - saw him 5 times

^Ms. July...

Curious as to why you felt the need to add how far you went with each date?

And...I need to add an *edit* to my list. I left off my most AMAZING recent date...it was with a Crookcatcher. Handsome, witty, intelligent and a gentleman. Pretty good dancer, too. ;)

You must not have seen Norwegian's recent post:

Also, in people's lists they should have what "base" they got to, in brackets, next to them. ;) Here, I'll update mine:

My baseball for the past 7:

1) Double. She made strong hints of a home run on the next date, but I didn't step up to the plate again because she behaved too much like a psycho and I didn't think I wanted to cross home plate.

2) Groundout (for each of these "groudouts", we only saw each other once, and hugged but nobody took things to the traditional first base).
3) Groundout
4) Groundout

5) Single. There were indications of stretching things to additional bases, but I played it safe and stopped at first. Eventually lost interest in stealing bases.

6) Single, with the ball hit as if he could go all the way, but the batter injured himself sprinting between first and second and limped back to first base, and didn't get any help achieving additional bases.

7) Groundout

Ha. I will leave out the how far I got with them part, and instead will include why they ended.

Realtor/stand up comedienne - expected me to show up to all of her gigs, which were in various counties, a mere week after we began seeing each other. F*ck that. Less than half of her material was actually funny, too.

Jared jewelry employee - may very well be the "nicest" woman I've ever in my life, but was just too squeaky clean and wanted a relationship right out of the gate. I never once heard her use a profane word, and it became nerve-racking.

City Hall employee - no comment

Teacher - I had absolutely nothing in common with her except physical attraction and her accent made it incredibly difficult to understand most of what she said.

Hairdresser - a total control freak twat and major alcoholic.

Disney employee - Very dark and morbid personality and often pulled the "hot and cold" nonsense, so I walked away.

Bartender - Had to move abruptly.

Although I have dated gals who previously worked in said types of industries before, no, my list was all about the humor and making fun of the notion of finding a "trend". :) My second part was also making fun of how things can progress "on base", but they're not always great victories.

Although he was only a construction worker when I met him. He went through maybe 30 jobs when we were together.

That's so nuts you continued with him for so long, making more babies, and not even really liking him after the 1st date! :)

2017 (age 34) furniture salesman - kissing + handjob (is that second base?) - met once

Yeah, that's 2nd base. 1st base is kissing. 3rd base is going oral. That's what you meant by V-card, right? Going down on you?

2018 (age 34) oil field technologist (everything including things I'd never done before) - saw him maybe 15x

Wait, after having 3 kids, handing out your "V-Card", etc -- what were said things you never done before? :)

Ok I think I figured out what job the 2 date guy had I think it was something electrical related like an electrician.

2008-2013 The shef (first boyfriend) was unemployed through most of the relationship and became a complete alcoholic, hence breaking up. Obviously home run. He slso gained like 70kg from all the alcohol.
2014 Jan, 1 date with the clothes store clerk. Stopped dating because he was lazy and addicted to World of Warcraft. He was also like 5 years older. Way too skinny too. Got to third base kinda by accident (recieved oral after I'd said no), was kinda like eh whatever.
2016 July, 1 date with the 19yr old unemployed guy. Only got to kissing. He was too inexperienced and creepy. Told him to stop kissing me and he kept doing it. Didn't like how he looked (bad skin and beard and short) or hos personality and he was also lazy and didn't have any aspirations. So I told him I didn't want to date but then he ended up stalking me online.
2017 Nov, 1 date with IT guy. I don't really know why that ended, he ghosted me when I was overseas and blocked me. I suspect he never wanted anything serious. Looking back on it we didn't have enough in common and he was too skinny and feminine looking. We had sex bjt it was kinda boring, bit of a mistake really.
2018 Jan, 2 dates with electrician. He actually stopped dating me because he said I was too nervous. Honestly though he made me nervous by questioning every microbehaviour I did. Then he changed his mind and wanted to try dating me again and I told him no lol. Then he got butthurt and ended up blocking me. I don't think we had enough in common and he was kinda whiny and manipulative. I was also in a bad place at the time mentally still from the prior dude. I also wasn't really into his tatoos. Got to third base (reciprocal oral) but it wasn't that great.
2018 April, I met my now boyfriend who is a security gaurd after putting off meeting for like 2 months because I was still annoyed after the two previous experiences. He is a lot nicer that's for sure and not manipukative like the other guy. He's much better at sexual stuff than all of the prior ones maybe because he's more dominant.

Lets see...
Since I broke up with my fiance in September:
Date #1 - An engineer. Nice guy but no chemistry there on my side.
Date #2 - Some sort of IT guy. Talked about his ex wife non stop on a date. He got divorced 6 years ago, lived with 2 other women but still cannot get over her. I left after 40 min. Should've left a lot sooner.
Date #3 - Unemployed cook. The weirdest date in my life. Couldn't get away from him soon enough. The way he was acting, the stuff he told me about himself, just way way out of there. And he grabbed and tried to kiss me when I tried to run away from him. Glad we met in a public place. He ended up stalking me for a month or so after our so called date. Didn't date anybody for 3 month after that "meeting."
Date#4 - Oil and Gas technician (or something like that) - Nice, made me laugh. But he told me that he gets tired of women after he beds them. No thanks. Asked me to come to his place the next day. Guess for what? lol. Told him no.
Date#5 - A truck driver for Oil and Gas industry. A widow. Wasn't really looking to date or anything. Just wanted to find a mother for his almost teen girl. Asked me few times to be her mother since she is in dire need of one according to him. Guess anybody who wants to be a mother would do. Actually, any woman would do since he lived before meeting me with one woman who showed no interest in his kid whatsoever.

That's about it for now.

And yet, the common denominator is....they all managed to get a real live date...........with you.
Go figure.

Yes, you may say it's me. But no, not really. Internet dating is like that. I've talked to my single male and female friends and they all tell me that my experiences and common with online dating. Lots of people lie and misrepresent themselves. Finding a right person to spend the rest of your life is like finding a needle in a haystack. Sometimes you just have to put yourself out there, no other way. Yes, you do meet some good people and some not so good people. Would not necessarily say that you are the problem. If people were more honest, would be a lot easier. The only way to see what the person is all like is to meet him or her. You can chat and talk on the phone for ages and still not see the "crazy." As they say, nothing is real till you meet so no amount of screening would be that useful or helpful. It might help you to veto some individuals but would not apply to all. Isn't first meet and greet is to see what the other person is like? It's not like I ended up dating any of these men.

Guy#2 - I've talked to him on a phone for 2 days. We talked about our hobbies and things that we are looking for in a mate. Had lots in common when we talked. Never once did he mention his ex. Did I miss anything in your talks? No, not really. He was just not entirely honest with me. Hey, he did manage to full two people who lived with his after his divorce, so that means that he can be normal at times.
Guy#3 - Yes, perhaps there were some red flags but I really did not think he was that deranged. I believe he was on some hard drugs before the meeting, no other way to explain his odd and very erratic behavior and shaking. Again, we did text each other for 2 weeks and talked on a phone once. Other than unemployed, he did not show his crazy side. And even then, he assured me he was looking for a job.
Guy#4 - Told me over the texts that he is a gentleman and is not looking for a quickie. Told me that he want a long term relationship and nothing else. He lied but how is it my fault?
Guy#5 - We talked almost nonstop for a week before meeting. Texted and talked on a phone till late at night. Normal. Never mentioned that he was really after. But I suppose if you are a single father of a child, you do expect a woman to raise your child with you. Not occasionally, but more full time. Lesson learned, never date anybody with young kids living at home.
