I live just outside of San Diego....20 minutes to the West is the Pacific Ocean, 15 minutes to the South is Mexico, and 23-30 minutes to the East are the mountains...sounds perfect, huh?....but I don't want to be here.......I want to be in Ohio....

LOL! The ice here stays until sometime in late March or early April....if I had a scanner, I'd post a pic of the ice on the beach of Lake Michigan here. It goes out from a few to several dozen (?) feet, depending on how cold it's been, and it looks as if the waves near the shore have been frozen. It's quite beautiful if you do in fact stay in the car. lol

I'm about 15 min to the beach from my house. If the darn buildings would get out of the way I could see the water from my sundeck!

Here in Vancouver we are right on the Pacific and it's unbelievably beautiful. There is a seawall that runs all the way along the water in Stanley Park, and it's always packed with folks day and night, summer and winter. Luckily it never gets too hot or too cold here so we can do that.

Sabby.

I'm about a 5 min walk down to the White Rock beach. White Rock is just south of Vancouver and on the Canada/USA border. I have a view of the water from my front room. Life is great!
