I didn't realize how much power my words would have. At the start of the Chase I had said I'd rather see JJ win than Kyle,
I'd rather see anyone win.. than to see JJ win. Carl is my second fav driver and I would love to see him pull it off, but will just have to see.

If Hamlin were any kind of sportsman, he would have raced Jimmie harder and taken him out on that final lap when he got loose. What kind of pansy just gives up track position like that at the end of the race? You wouldn't see Carl just sit back and let that happen. Why I bet he'd even smash into a wall just trying to finish one position higher!
Man those last 8 laps were bs! I mean I've never seen so many drivers just give up like they did when JJ was passing them. Even my fav driver let him slide on by! That really pissed me off. New tires or old tires I don't care.

In order for Edwards or Biffle to pull it off, all they would have to do is win every race (as well as lead the most laps in all 3 of them) from here on out and have Johnson finish outside the top 10 in all 3 of them.

Well... one down, two to go.

Still don't think it's going to happen, but at least it's turning into a good Chase again. That was quite the call by Bob to chance it on fuel. Good call, but I'm sure I wasn't the only 99 fan chomping at the bit.

I was hoping Gordon could pull it off in Texas. My favs aren't close enough,or in the Chase for me to care anymore.Heck,I was rooting for McMurray to keep the lead just to have someone different for a change

Lol weird how that happened isn't it? Which probably means that there will be a big lack of me posting until the bud shootout. At least I hope I'll be able to be around then.

I think JJ has it in the bag.. As of right now I just want my driver to win.

Did anyone watch the ARCA race on Speed before the Shootout? That accident that kept Logano from making it to the driver's meeting was pretty scary. I know when they got Hollenbeck out he gave the thumbs up, but they never showed any video of Sheltra being extracted, so hopefully he's ok. For anyone who missed it:

But yeah... I can't wait for the season to begin. Hopefully Carl can build on his success from last season... and perhaps he's learned not to take his teammates out with him.

Damn rain! I live in Central FL and it hasn't rained in ages, can't believe it rained out the race.

Couple more laps and my guy would have had it.

I don't like the guy much, but man, that was a shitty way to lose a race. Jr. should have at least gotten the same 5 lap penalty that Leffler got in the Nationwide Series. Intentional or not, it was "aggresive driving" that wrecked a lot of good cars.

You ain't kiddin'...Pulse. That is what happens at Talladega, usually not in the first few laps. Poor Edwards...he is probably still dizzy.
Luckily none of the fans were seriously injured.

Darned if it didn't take out my favorite driver...but he is still up there in points. Only 5 points behind Kurt.

Apparently he was testing Fusion Hybrids the very next day in D.C. Still can't believe he had the strength to run across the finish line. My knees would have been so weak after something like that.

How long was that accident? 5 seconds? Maybe 6? I remember going through, "Come on, get 'er straight," about 3 times to, "Just slide across the line," twice to, "Are his tires really off the ground?" to, "Holy f*ck!" in that short time.

And then as soon as he threw the window net down, I was pissed off that he lost.

That was a stellar race by Kyle.

Jeff Gordon deserved that wipeout for continually tapping at Kyles rear bumper btw. Glad he's ok, but still. Hell; I saw him wipe out two people during the first bangup BEFORE he snuck off safe. Talk about 'bangin em' and opportunism.

This year I'm sticking with: Harvick, Kyle B, Smoke, and Gordon. (in that order)

Harvick: I switched to cheerin for him when I worked for Rheem, and got free swag. (lol) Plus that guy is one dude who knows what his cars can do, and maxes out whenever possible. [4 wins in a row? Hulllllllo]

Kyle B: Cause the kid drives like a bat out of hell. (See: The Shootout. He was spun twice, saved em both, and went on to win the race with sparks flying out of every orifice of his car)

Smoke: Because I liked him when he was big orange, and felt cheap for leaving. Bandwagon's open again, I'm jumpin back on. (The guys class; face it)

Gordon Bit of an as*hole; but he's got the best paintjobs 9 times out of 10. An Auto Racing Car with real 'California Paint jobs, including tri-tones?' (Sold)

I'm also not big on Hendricks; but Jimmy J was class also. Alot easier to be classy when you're rich, and have the inside track on rules though

Daytona is looking like a wreckfest this year! Glad nobody has been hurt bad or anything, especially my #24 ... boy I've never seen his car flip like that. Scary looking, but super glad he was fine.

Great job by Kyle in the shootout too! The kid might piss off a lot of ppl, but he can sure handle a racecar.

For this year's chase it's almost a lock that Jimmie Johnson won't win it. According to ESPN he got docked 25 driver points and is now 70 points (yes you read that right) behind Matt Kenseth (my favorite driver btw) and will lose his crew chief and his car chief for 6 races.
